Black Myth: The Legend of Tianpeng Seeking Demons
Chapter 202 Tokyo Tower
"What? 'Moon Shadow' is actually..."
After hearing Zhu Feifei's information, Yukishiro Chihiro stood there in astonishment, as if struck by lightning, the color draining from her face instantly.
She shook her head incredulously: "Are you sure?"
“This news was told to me personally by ‘Bai Xiaosheng’,” Zhu Feifei said solemnly, her eyes filled with worry. “He also said that ‘Yueying’ will be holding an evil ritual at Tokyo Tower tonight.”
"Tokyo Tower?" Chihiro Yukishiro's eyes suddenly sharpened, and she gripped the dagger tightly in her hand. "The spiritual veins there are extremely special. He wants to use them to tear apart the barrier between the human world and the other world!"
“What’s worse is that Minako Aso is still in his hands,” Zhu Feifei added. “She is likely the core of the ritual, and we can’t delay any longer!”
Chihiro Yukishiro pondered for a moment, then said in a low but firm voice, "No matter what, we must stop him."
Zhu Feifei nodded and asked, "But how can we stop them? 'Moon Shadow's' strength is unfathomable. We have no chance of winning with just the two of us."
“Go find Qinglan and the others,” Yukishiro Chihiro said decisively. “The Demon Exorcism Division will definitely have a way.”
Decided to return to Yukishiro's house
Just as the two were about to set off, Chihiro Yukishiro suddenly stopped, her brows furrowing slightly: "However, before that, I'd like to go somewhere first."
"Where to?" Zhu Feifei asked, slightly surprised.
“The Yukishiro family.” She uttered the three words slowly, her tone carrying a subtle, complex emotion.
"The Yukishiro family you mentioned... is that your home?" Zhu Feifei paused for a moment, then asked hesitantly, "But isn't that place already..."
“I know.” Chihiro Yukishiro interrupted him, took a deep breath, and continued, “But there is something important there that might help us fight against ‘Moon Shadow’.”
"What is it?" Zhu Feifei pressed.
“You’ll know when you get there.” Her answer was brief and powerful, yet it concealed an indescribable sadness.
After leaving the private room, the two walked through the bar lobby.
Tamamo-no-Mae was leaning against the bar, swirling a glass of amber-colored liquor in her hand, looking relaxed and seemingly unconcerned about the turmoil outside.
"Where are you going?" she asked lazily, but a meaningful glint flashed in her eyes.
"I have important business to attend to and cannot stay any longer," Zhu Feifei replied politely, without stopping.
Tamamo-no-Mae smiled slightly and took out a warm jade slip from her sleeve, handing it to Yukishiro Chihiro.
"Take this with you, you might need it." Her voice was gentle, yet carried a hint of mystery.
"What is this?" Yukishiro Chihiro took the jade slip and felt a subtle fluctuation of spiritual energy at her fingertips.
“You’ll understand when the time comes.” Tamamo-no-Mae took a sip of sake, a faint smile still on her face. “However, I must remind you that using it comes at a price.”
Chihiro Yukishiro's expression turned serious as she carefully put away the jade slip: "Thank you for the reminder."
After nodding to her, the two quickly left the bar.
On the outskirts of Tokyo, at the end of a weed-covered path, stands a dilapidated old house.
The two stood in front of the gate. Zhu Feifei looked around and exclaimed in amazement, "This is the Yukishiro family? I can't believe this place used to be..."
"Stop talking." Yukishiro Chihiro interrupted him, pushed open the half-closed wooden door, and walked into the courtyard.
In the desolate courtyard, withered grass swayed in the wind, old stone lanterns had collapsed, and the moss-covered stone steps were marked with the marks of time.
Her gaze swept across the courtyard, and images from her childhood surfaced in her mind; the figure of her father practicing swordsmanship in the center of the courtyard seemed to still be before her eyes.
“When I was little, my father often said that the sword was our belief, the power to protect everything…” she murmured softly, her tone revealing an undisguised longing and pain.
Zhu Feifei didn't disturb her, but silently followed behind her. Just then, a cold wind swept in from behind, and Yukishiro Chihiro suddenly turned around, the dagger in her hand flashing coldly.
"Who's there?" she hissed, her eyes wary.
A deep, aged voice came from the depths of the courtyard: "Chihiro, is that you?"
The two looked up and saw a middle-aged man in a kimono, holding a paper fan, slowly walking towards them, his face full of surprise: "You're finally back!"
Chihiro Yukishiro was stunned, and murmured, "Father...it's you?"
Zhu Feifei frowned and said in a low voice, "Be careful, don't trust him too easily."
The man walked to the center of the courtyard, tears welling in his eyes: "Where have you been all these years? I've been looking for you..."
Chihiro Yukishiro's eyes reddened, and she was about to step forward when Zhu Feifei suddenly shouted, "Stop! He's not your father at all!"
Chihiro Yukishiro was taken aback: "What?"
"Look at his shadow!" Zhu Feifei whispered a reminder.
She looked closely and saw that the man's shadow was twisted in the moonlight, writhing restlessly like a snake.
"Hahaha..." The man let out a ferocious laugh, then turned into a wisp of green smoke, revealing a monster with a fox head and a human body. "The descendants of the Yukishiro family are indeed shrewd. Unfortunately, this is just an appetizer."
“'Phantom Fox'!” Chihiro Yukishiro gritted her teeth, pointing her dagger at her opponent.
The phantom fox sneered and disappeared into the night in a flash.
"We can't stay here any longer, we have to leave immediately!" Zhu Feifei quickly grabbed Yukishiro Chihiro and led her away from the dilapidated mansion.
On her way to Qinglan, Yukishiro Chihiro looked up at the night sky, the moonlight shining on her face, making her appear exceptionally cold and stern.
"The spiritual veins of Tokyo Tower are the core connecting the human world and the other world. He must want to use this place to open the door to the other world."
"It seems we don't have much time left," Zhu Feifei said, her tone filled with urgency.
The two quickened their pace, completely unaware that a pair of eyes gleaming with an eerie light were watching them from the shadows of the trees behind them.
"Heh, the game has only just begun." A deep voice echoed in the night wind, then vanished without a trace.
