Black Myth: The Legend of Tianpeng Seeking Demons

Chapter 100 The Mage's Attack

Juklee's pigification was still ongoing; his nose had completely transformed into a round little pig nose, his mouth was gradually widening, and the fur on his cheeks was becoming increasingly thick.

He stood in front of the tavern mirror, on the verge of tears, occasionally touching his increasingly obese double chin, as if to confirm that this was not a nightmare.

"What a ridiculous joke!" he muttered to himself, a look of helplessness in his eyes. "Am I, Jukele, destined to spend the rest of my life as a pig?"

As the patrons in the tavern watched him gradually turn into a pig, many couldn't help but laugh, and some of the bolder ones even secretly pointed and whispered among themselves.

Avril and Adrian couldn't help but burst into laughter at Juckley's embarrassed state, especially Avril, who was clutching her stomach and holding onto the table as if she was laughing so hard she could barely stand.

“Juckley, you’re really… haha… a living, breathing roast suckling pig!” Avril laughed until tears streamed down her face, speaking haltingly.

Adrian burst into laughter, patting Juckley on the shoulder and trying to suppress his laughter: "Juckley, don't worry, at least you haven't completely turned into a pig yet... you can still talk."

“Speak?!” Jukele huffed angrily, pointing at himself in the mirror and exclaiming in exasperation, “Look at me! This nose, these ears, this face… how can anyone recognize me as a person?”

"Alright, alright, Jukele." Avril managed to suppress her laughter, patted his back lightly, and said with a hint of teasing in her voice, "We definitely won't leave you on the grill, don't worry."

Just then, the tavern owner came over with a plate of fragrant roast suckling pig. He placed the dish on the table and wiped the sweat from his brow.

"Gentlemen, this is our restaurant's signature dish—roast suckling pig. We guarantee it will be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, melting in your mouth."

"Roast...roast suckling pig?!" Upon hearing the name of this dish, Zhu Keli froze instantly.

He stared at the meticulously prepared roast suckling pig on the table, his eyes filled with horror and disbelief, as if the pig was his "future self".

Avril and Adrian couldn't hold back any longer. Seeing Juckley's expression, they laughed so hard they almost fell off the table.

“Don’t be afraid, Juklee!” Adrian said with a laugh. “We won’t eat you, even though you do look a lot like a pig right now.”

Avril wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, covered her mouth and laughed, "Juckley, why don't you give this dish your evaluation? You're an expert now!"

Jukeli had completely given up resisting. He sighed heavily, looked down at his increasingly pig-like appearance, and looked at them with a pitiful expression: "You two, stop making fun of me. I've had enough bad luck already..."

Xiao Bai's voice rang out at the right moment, with a hint of sarcastic laughter: "Didn't I warn you a long time ago? You just wouldn't listen. This is the price you pay for your gluttony."

"How could I have known it would turn out like this!" Jukely complained inwardly. "I just wanted to eat more and celebrate."

"Eat more?" Xiaobai mocked. "You're almost going to eat the whole table! Don't forget, once you reach 70% saturation, you'll turn into a pig. Now you can only wait to slowly digest it and return to normal."

Juckley looked at the delicious food on the table, especially the roast suckling pig. His nose twitched suddenly, and his stomach seemed to be churning with a craving for food, but reason told him that he must not eat another bite.

"Sigh..." He sighed deeply, forcing a smile. "Considering today is a day of celebration, I'll just bear with it."

However, just as he was struggling to resist touching the food, a commotion suddenly broke out outside the tavern. The noise of the crowd mingled with the sound of hurried footsteps, as if something important was happening.

Avril frowned, stood up, and looked towards the door: "What's going on?"

Adrian also stood up quickly, his hand instinctively gripping the hilt of his sword at his waist, his gaze as sharp as a hawk's: "This doesn't seem like an ordinary matter."

Just then, a traveler wearing a tattered cloak stumbled into the tavern, his face covered in terror and sweat. He was panting heavily, as if he had just escaped a life-or-death situation.

"You're still leisurely drinking here?! Run! The army of dark mages is coming!" His voice trembled, and his eyes were bloodshot, clearly terrified by something horrible.

Avril's expression immediately turned serious. The name "Dark Mage" chilled her blood to the bone.

She quickly looked at Adrian, who immediately realized the seriousness of the situation, drew his longsword, and a sharp, cold light flashed on the blade.

"An army of dark mages?!" Juklee's eyes widened. Ignoring his half-pig-like appearance, he stood up and slammed his fist on the table. "How did they suddenly appear? This is no small matter!"

Avril quickly regained her composure. Standing in the center of the tavern, her expression resolute, her voice filled with determination, she said, "We can't stay here any longer. We must leave immediately and find a safe place."

Adrian nodded. "I agree. Once the dark mage's army arrives here, this town will likely descend into endless chaos and destruction."

Jukeli's nose turned red with anxiety. Although he was still half-pig, he didn't care about his embarrassment and said anxiously, "Then let's run quickly! I don't want to become a roast suckling pig and not have a chance to turn back!"

Avril glanced at his distorted face and couldn't help but laugh, but the situation was urgent, so she immediately turned around: "Let's go, we have to get out of here right now!"

The three quickly left the tavern, where chaos reigned.

People were running in all directions through the streets, screams echoing everywhere. In the distance, the army of dark mages could be vaguely seen approaching like a dark cloud. The sky was shrouded in a thick gray fog, as if even the sunlight had been swallowed up.

A massive shadow loomed closer and closer to the town, filling the air with a suffocating and terrifying atmosphere.

Avril, Adrian, and Juckley quickly weaved through the panicked crowd, sprinting towards the edge of town. Juckley, panting heavily, muttered between breaths, "Next time...remember...eat less..."

Avril glanced at him sideways, a slight smile playing on her lips: "You're doing pretty well now, at least you haven't completely turned into a pig."

“Yeah,” Adrian replied with a laugh, “if you turned into a pig, who would be able to drag you along?”

Zhu Keli gave a helpless bitter smile. Although he was still full of dissatisfaction, he could only grit his teeth and persevere in this critical moment.

As they finally reached the edge of town, a deep roar came from afar.

Avril stopped abruptly, looked up at the sky, and saw dozens of giant dragons spreading their huge wings and flying towards them from the darkness in the distance.

“It’s the enemy’s dragon army!” Adrian’s eyes were grave.

“We need to prepare for battle.” Avril looked resolutely into the distance, her hand already on Ignis’s dragon scales, as if she were about to charge into battle with her dragon companions again to face unknown and powerful enemies.

They knew that an inevitable great war was about to begin.
