Chapter 100 Bow
Seeing that Xiahou Ying did not respond, Yin Quan stopped speaking and quietly wrapped the gauze around his body, continuing for a long time before stopping.
Xiahou Ying glanced down at the bow tied in the center of her collarbone, and her lips twitched.
For a moment, even disdain and contempt couldn't express his emotions; all that remained in his heart was bewilderment.
She is clearly a meticulous person, so why is she so clumsy in this kind of thing?
Pouting as she looked at him, Yin Quan looked very melancholy.
I originally thought those bizarre bandaging methods only appeared in ridiculous and melodramatic TV dramas, but I didn't expect that when it happened to me, I would actually be shocked by them.
She was really upset...
It doesn't seem like a particularly difficult or technically demanding task... so why is the actual execution so different from what I expected...?
He was perfectly fine when I bandaged Gu Lounan last time...
Thinking this, Yin Quan rolled her eyes, and then accepted the cruel reality without any struggle.
Seeing her sometimes lost in thought and sometimes sighing, Xiahou Ying pursed his lips, reached out and pinched her smooth and tender chin, while rubbing his fingers a few times.
Her face flushed red from his intimate gesture, Yin Quan swallowed hard, and stared intently at him. The white gauze bow was tied in the center of his long, jade-like collarbone, fluttering with each breath he took.
The pale golden sunlight streamed down, settling on his snow-white, almost translucent skin, instantly creating shimmering, crystalline hues, clearer than crystal and more dazzling than diamonds. Like a masterpiece of nature, the distribution and proportion of every line of his skin were astonishingly even, a gift from the Creator, unique in the world.
Her gaze was instantly fixed on that dazzling body, and Yin Quan's heart skipped a beat. She thought to herself, "I was so worried about whether I would hurt him that I didn't even have a chance to touch him... I wonder what he feels like, is he smooth?"
Seeing the sudden glint in her eyes, Xiahou Ying raised an eyebrow, knowing that she was probably thinking about something like the feel of his skin again.
"It's your first time bandaging someone, you have no experience, let me untie it and re-bandage it for you..." Yin Quan chuckled twice, quickly regaining her senses, and reached her hand to the center of his collarbone. The moment her fingers moved, he grabbed them first.
"I will do it myself."
"You're a patient, so you should be aware of your role. I'll take care of you!" Ignoring Xiahou Ying's refusal, Yin Quan shook her head with a smile and continued to relentlessly reach out her groping hands.
Upon hearing this, Xiahou Ying almost instinctively looked down at the bow tie on his collarbone. Although he said nothing, his cold, moonlit gaze spoke volumes.
His undisguised expression struck a nerve, and Yin Quan shrank back, giving him a sideways glance: "Even horses stumble, and people make mistakes...it's just a small detail..."
“It’s not suitable for you.” Xiahou Ying subtly picked up where she left off, a smirk playing on his lips. He then used his arm to pull her onto his lap.
Everything happened so suddenly that she slid forward on his leg without noticing and bumped into a strange spot.
Her scalp tingled, her face flushed, and Yin Quan felt as if her throat was about to burst into flames.
Holy crap! What did she just bump into?!
Startled by her unexpected bump, Xiahou Ying froze for a moment, but quickly stood up and distanced himself from her.
"Um, I'll go ask Wei Jun to re-bandage your wound..." With her eyes lowered, Yin Quan said quickly, then turned around and rushed out the door.
With his muscular upper body bare, Xiahou Ying stood at the doorway, looking at her hurried and somewhat flustered back. His narrow eyes suddenly twitched upwards, and a gentle smile, as beautiful as pearls and jade, appeared in his dark eyes, which were tinged with a hazy luster.
Seeing his unapproachable master, as cold and aloof as the moon, almost wrapped up like a dumpling by Yin Quan, Wei Jun kept a straight face and struggled for a long time to suppress the overwhelming laughter churning inside his body.
Watching the white-clad guard's lips twitch wildly, Yin Quan rested her chin on her hand, pouted, and said, "You can re-bandage him. I'm going out for a walk."
"Don't come back too late." Following her figure, Xiahou Ying's thin lips moved slightly, his dark and clear eyes fixed on her, his gaze as calm as water.
Upon hearing this, Yin Quan turned around and smiled at him, then took a few steps closer, cupped his face, and gently kissed the tip of his nose, softly replying, "You must wait for me obediently."
Upon hearing this, Xiahou Ying stiffened, and Wei Jun trembled.
The master and servant watched the figure disappear with a light laugh, their hearts churning with emotions.
He took Lian Hongling and Harina to Wangxiang Pavilion in the western suburbs. Throughout the journey, Yin Quan remained mostly silent.
He followed silently behind her, occasionally exchanging glances, but neither of them spoke up to ask the question that was bothering them.
"Hong Ling..."
As the two hesitated, Yin Quan's clear and melodious voice suddenly rang in their ears.
"Xiahou Ying seems to have been looking for someone."
As she spoke, she turned to look at the two people behind her. She pursed her lips, and a faint wrinkle appeared between her brows.
"What does Master mean..." Upon hearing this, Lian Hongling twitched her lips, about to speak, but was suddenly interrupted by Yin Quan.
"arrive."
Looking in the direction of the sound, Lian Hongling and Harina exchanged a glance and both frowned.
The glass workshop at Wangxiangting in the western suburbs...
What brings our master to a place like this...?
As the two were still puzzled, Yin Quan had already taken a step forward, but unexpectedly they suddenly heard a shout: "Master, be careful!"
Before she could react, she was tackled hard from behind, and with three muffled thuds, three steel darts were stuck in the ground in front of her.
Startled by the sight, Yin Quan opened her eyes wide, and then heard a surprised exclamation: "So it's you, Miss!"
As he spoke, Ni Tianze pulled Yin Quan and Lian Hongling up from the ground, his face full of apology.
"I remember you didn't have these mechanisms before?" Yin Quan forced a smile, enduring the sharp pain in her ribs and shoulder blades.
Ni Tianze's expression stiffened for a moment. He didn't respond immediately, but instead touched the back of his neck, seemingly somewhat embarrassed.
Lifting her gaze to that honest face, which was not much different from when they first met, Yin Quan pursed her lips.
His bronze skin shimmered with a metallic sheen in the sunlight, and although his shoulders were covered by clothing, they did not conceal the strength of his muscles, making him look as powerful and robust as ever.
Seeing his silence, Yin Quan squatted down, picked up one of the steel darts, glanced at it casually, and said, "Did you make this trap? Your skills are quite superb."
“Miss, to be honest, I’ve had a question ever since I first met you…” Before she could finish, Ni Tianze suddenly interrupted her. A hint of undisguised doubt appeared in his honest yet steady eyes. He paused for a moment, then continued, “Miss, who exactly are you?”
Upon hearing this, Yin Quan's eyes, which had been as bright as stars, suddenly dimmed, but the smile that gathered at the corner of her lips became even more intense than before.
“As a glass craftsman, your curiosity seems rather strong…” She looked at him, a meaningful light constantly gathering in her dark eyes, as clear as crystal and as hazy as pearl. Although it was full of harmless softness, it was like endless spider silk. If you were not careful, you would be tightly bound by it and then mercilessly devoured.
The latter was silent for a moment after being asked such a casual question, but quickly returned to normal.
"I apologize for my abruptness..." He clasped his hands in a fist salute, his voice slightly low.
“It’s alright, there’s nothing wrong with telling you. I’m from the Prince Duan’s residence.” Before Ni Tianze could finish speaking, Yin Quan continued.
Looking at her expression, which remained completely unchanged, Ni Tianze was somewhat taken aback.
Staring wide-eyed, Ni Tianze was shocked.
He had considered many possibilities, but he never imagined it would involve Prince Duan.
For a moment, his mind went blank, and he didn't know how to react.
Prince Duan of the capital was such a noble figure that he never imagined that he, a mere glass craftsman, would have any dealings with such a high-ranking nobleman in the capital. In other words, he had never had any goodwill towards those so-called noble families and disdained to have any dealings with them.
He hated the royal family, the powerful and wealthy, and all those from noble families.
"You go now."
Suddenly, a layer of icy coldness appeared on Ni Tianze's honest, bronze face. As he spoke, he pushed Yin Quan, along with Harina and Lian Hongling behind her, out of the room, and then bolted the door shut.
Completely bewildered by being pushed out, Yin Quan knocked on the door and shouted, "Ni Tianze, how come your face changes faster than the weather?! I haven't finished speaking! At least let me finish before kicking me out!"
Seeing that knocking on the door was useless, she glanced at Lian Hongling, then her eyes lit up. She pulled back her slightly forward-leaning body and said, "If you don't come out, I'll release the poison..."
Before she could finish speaking, a muffled thud came from inside, and then Ni Tianze, his face grim, reappeared through the narrow crack in the door, staring coldly at her.
"Besides abusing your power to oppress others, what else can you royal nobles do?"
“Hey, don’t generalize…” Yin Quan stroked her chin with some difficulty, then stepped forward and approached the slightly ajar wooden door. “Besides, I’m not royalty or any nobleman. I’m just an ordinary person, like you…”
With his eyes slightly narrowed and his brows furrowed, Ni Tianze made a move to close the door again. Seeing this, Yin Quan acted decisively and without hesitation, reaching out to block the two door panels, and then let out a painful howl.
Ni Tianze was clearly taken aback that the seemingly delicate woman would actually try to stop him. He was immediately shocked and flung open the door, disregarding the ethical taboos against physical contact between men and women, and grabbed her wrist to examine it. At the same time, Yin Quan's bold action also startled Harina and Lian Hongling, who broke out in a cold sweat. They were initially startled, then moved closer to her, only to breathe a sigh of relief after seeing the faint red mark on her hand.
"Master! You're really not taking good care of yourself!" Harina shouted angrily, his eyes wide open. He looked at his servant more like a servant than his master.
Seemingly oblivious to the undisguised anger on Hari's little face, Yin Quan chuckled twice, her gaze remaining fixed on Ni Tianze. She said, "See, I already said we can't generalize, do you think I'm abusing my power?"
Upon hearing this, Ni Tianze's bronze face flushed slightly. He immediately shook off her hand and looked away without saying a word.
“You have the hands of a skilled craftsman, why not make the most of them?” Ignoring his sudden change in attitude, Yin Quan’s smile remained unchanged.
"Come in, I have medicine here." She spoke in a deep voice. Although Ni Tianze never looked at her, his cold and hard attitude had improved considerably compared to before.
Seeing him open the door, Yin Quan raised an eyebrow at Harina and Lian Hongling, and then the three of them quickly went inside.
"Did you mix this yourself?" Yin Quan asked softly, looking down at Ni Tianze's skillful technique.
Upon hearing this, Ni Tianze glanced up at her, then silently looked away and continued with his work.
"You suddenly become so cold now that you know I'm from the Prince Duan's mansion? You can't judge a person by their appearance alone, and status doesn't mean anything..." Yin Quan was speaking when the latter suddenly let go of her hand and said coldly, "Alright."
Seeing his stubbornness, Yin Quan could only purse her lips and say no more.
Suddenly, at that moment, Lian Hongling, who had remained silent all along, spoke up: "Ni Tianze, are you a descendant of the Qinglu Ni family?"
