Chapter Nineteen: Entering the Xuantian Sect

In contrast, Chen Wei's thinking was simpler. He planned for them to find a livelihood in Fire Cloud City, firstly to wait for Han Qi to return after completing her studies, and secondly to seize an opportunity to kill Lu Hongsheng and avenge the annihilation of their clan. After listening to Lin Yuyao's words, he remained silent, simply watching Han Qi and waiting for his solution. After all, protecting such a beautiful woman in Fire Cloud City, a place where women were scarce, was a tremendous burden for him.

Han Qi glanced at Lin Yuyao, then deliberately raised his glass in a serious tone and said, "Come on, let's have another drink. I'll toast you both." He then tossed back his glass and downed it in one gulp.

Chen Wei hesitated for a moment, then said, "I'll listen to you, brother, I'll drink it too." After finishing his drink, Chen Wei's eyes welled up with tears. Han Qi smiled slightly and said, "What are you two doing? Let me finish what I have to say." After a pause, he continued, "When you two arrive at the Xuan Tian Sect, don't cause trouble, especially Chen Wei. Don't act rashly. You must follow my instructions in all actions." He then looked at the two people in front of him with a smile.

Upon hearing this, the two burst into laughter, with Lin Yuyao even jumping up. But then she turned her face dark and glared at Han Qi, saying, "You just love to tease people, making me worry for nothing. I'm ignoring you now, hmph!" Lin Yuyao pretended to be angry and turned her face away.

Han Qi smiled and said, "Don't be angry, Sister Yuyao. This matter is not settled yet. We still need Elder Situ's approval. Come, let me punish myself with a cup of wine." With that, he drank the full cup of wine in one gulp.

Lin Yuyao then smiled and said, "That's more like it."

Three days passed quickly. On this day, Han Qi took Lin Yuyao and Chen Wei to the Xuantian Sect. The Xuantian Sect was located on Ningcui Peak outside Huoyun City. Ningcui Peak was towering into the clouds, surrounded by immortal energy, and had a beautiful landscape, making it the perfect place for cultivation.

The three arrived at the foot of Ningcui Peak, where Sun Yaozu, the chief disciple of the Great Cultivation lineage, was already waiting. Upon seeing Han Qi and his group arrive, Sun Yaozu was completely stunned by Lin Yuyao's appearance. Lin Yuyao was dressed in white, with a curvaceous figure, fair skin, and well-proportioned features. Her every move was exceptionally alluring, and her long, black hair danced in the wind, making her look like a fairy descending to earth. Seeing Sun Yaozu's wolfish gaze, Lin Yuyao blushed even more, her face turning as red as a peach blossom, adding to her charm.

Seeing Sun Yaozu's expression, Han Qi couldn't help but despise him a thousand times in his heart. He cupped his hands in greeting and said loudly, "Senior Brother Sun, I've kept you waiting."

Sun Yaozu then came to his senses and realized his lapse in composure. He awkwardly said, "Oh, I just arrived too. My master arranged for me to pick you up. Come with me, let's go and register to get our supplies." After saying that, he couldn't help but steal a glance at Lin Yuyao.

The group slowly walked up the stone steps. Lin Yuyao and Chen Wei admired the scenery of Ningcui Peak along the way and seemed particularly excited. Han Qi, on the other hand, seemed very calm. After all, Han Qi had lived in Kunwu Mountain, which was a true fairy mountain, a thousand times more beautiful than this place. Along the way, Sun Yaozu acted as a tour guide, introducing the scenery along the way to everyone.

Finally, Han Qi chose a cliffside location a little far from the Xuan Tian Sect's communal residence to set up his lodging. After the location was chosen, Sun Yaozu said, "We'll go find Master the day after tomorrow. You guys go ahead with your work. I have something to do, so I'll be going now. If you need anything, you can come find me at the communal residence." With that, he hurriedly left.

Han Qi smiled slightly and said, "It's alright, Chen Wei and I will definitely protect you. Don't overthink it. Taking this opportunity to improve your cultivation is the most important thing."

Chen Wei ignored the two men and focused intently on carving out the cave dwelling with his fists. Each punch created a large crater in the stone wall. With each strike, rocks flew everywhere, creating an even larger crater. Chen Wei then hauled the rocks away. Working together, the two carved out the stone chambers quickly. By nightfall, the three stone chambers were complete.
