Red Dead Redemption: The Great Philanthropist of the West

While Henry was still taking a bath, thinking about how Emerald Ranch was doing.

Sadie is facing a crisis.

A group of uninvited men on horseback, armed with guns, stormed into the Emerald Ranch and injured several workers.

"Who's in charge here? Get out here."

The leader, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a black leather jacket, shouted arrogantly and fired a burst of shots into the sky from his automatic rifle.

Seeing this, Yak, who was inspecting the livestock nearby, sent a clever young man away quietly to find Ashley and the others, while he himself quickly ran over.

"Stop, stop, don't hurt anyone. I am, I am the person in charge here, Jac Adler."

"This place belongs to the Allen family. I wonder what you gentlemen wish to do? If you would like some food, I can fetch it for you."

Yak looked at the group of people with ill intentions and said nervously.

"Do you think we're beggars, that we don't need your food?"

The leader smashed a rifle butt into Ark's head and said disdainfully.

"So it was you who killed that old man Eugene and cut off our source of income? What Allen family? Never even heard of them. Hurry up and call your boss out to see me. Our boss has a big business deal to discuss with him. Judging from your weak appearance, you don't seem like someone who can make decisions."

Meanwhile, Sadie and Kiran also cautiously arrived nearby, having been awakened by the gunshots while feeding the horses on the other side.

When Sadie saw Ark being attacked, she couldn't hold back any longer and prepared to rush over. Fortunately, Kieran stopped her in time.

Seeing the murderous glare in Sadie's eyes, Kieran shuddered and said nervously:

"Calm down! Calm down! Sadie!"

“They are Odrisco’s men. I know the leader; he’s one of Colm’s underlings, and he’s extremely ruthless. We must wait for the right moment. Rushing in like this will be pointless and will only anger them, putting Ark in even greater danger.”

“I think Ashley and the others must have heard the gunshots. They’ll be here soon. Let’s wait a bit longer and then we can work together to rescue Ark.”

It has to be said that Kieran has indeed grown a lot during the time he has been by Henry's side. Although he is still very nervous and his voice trembles a little, what he says is quite organized, unlike before when he would only run away in fear.

Hearing Kieran's analysis, Sadie calmed down a bit, but she still gripped her pistol tightly, ready to charge out at any moment.

Just when Yak said that the boss wasn't here and that he could talk to him first and he would relay the message, he was knocked to the ground again by the thugs, who pointed a gun at his forehead.

Sadie didn't care about anything else and fired directly at the leader. The other gang members were startled by the gunshot from behind and quickly took cover and returned fire. Yak took the opportunity to climb to the edge of a haystack.

Sadie was seen fighting at least eight gang members alone, and even took down two of them by taking the initiative.

Kieran had no choice but to pick up his pistol and join the battle.

For a time, the fight was evenly matched. However, both sides had limited strength, and most of the time they couldn't land a hit.

However, Sadie's side gradually fell to the bottom. After all, they had less experience and fewer people, and they didn't control their shooting. They quickly ran out of ammunition.

And Odrisco's men quickly realized this and carefully surrounded them.

“I’ve dragged you down this time. I’ll hold them off for a bit while you go first. Once Ashley and the others arrive, you can help us get revenge.”

Having calmed down, Sadie realized the danger was approaching. Knowing that the two of them couldn't escape together, she took out her dagger and prepared to fight them in close combat when they arrived, giving Kieran a chance to escape.

“Ever since the day Henry saved me, I’ve said I would never run away alone again, and I can’t abandon my friends. If we just hold on a little longer, we might still have a chance. I believe Ashley and the others will be here soon.”

At this moment, Kieran spoke lightly, but his trembling hands betrayed his resolve, revealing his inner fear and unease. However, as he said, no matter how difficult it was, he would no longer run away; he had his own principles.

Before the two could even mentally prepare themselves, they heard six quick, brief gunshots rang out in quick succession. Then the remaining six enemies fell to the ground.

As they looked up to the side, they saw Arthur blow a breath onto the smoking cowboy revolver, stylishly flick the barrel, and then holster the revolver.

"Arthur, and Hosea, what are you doing here? It's so good to see you. Thank you so much for saving us."

Upon seeing Arthur's appearance, Kieran and Sadie breathed a sigh of relief. They had both witnessed Arthur's strength and felt completely at ease.

After greeting Arthur, Sadie didn't wait for his response and quickly ran towards where Ark was.

Fortunately, it was just some injuries to the head and thigh; they'll be fine after a few days of rest.

At that moment, several people rushed over from the other side of the road. They were Ashley and his men, who had returned after hearing the gunshots while patrolling Garris Farm.

Upon realizing they were allies, everyone lowered their guns, which they had raised in an emergency response, and revealed relaxed smiles.

"Saddy, Yak, Kieran, are you alright? I heard gunshots. What happened?"

"Arthur, you're here too? Looks like you're alright. Who was the enemy?"

Ashley shouted from afar, but after walking halfway and seeing Arthur behind him, and noticing several corpses on the ground not far away, he felt relieved. With Arthur there, there wouldn't be any problems. He trusted Arthur's abilities.

“They were from Odrisco’s gang. They wanted to talk to the boss, but they were very rude and injured Ark and many workers. Sadie couldn’t stand it and started fighting with them.”

Seeing Sadie helping Ark sit down and tending to his wounds, Kieran picked up the conversation, responding to Ashley and Arthur.

“I happened to be talking business with Hosea and Seamus nearby when I heard the gunshots and saw Sadie and Kieran fighting with someone, so I stepped in to help.”

Arthur smiled and casually explained why he and Lao He were there. They had just closed an easy deal, made some money, and were in a good mood.

Working with Hosea was a pleasure. He liked to chat with people and then subtly punish those who were bad. Not only could you earn money and hear many interesting stories, but you also didn't have to fight or suffer the pangs of conscience.
