Red Dead Redemption: The Great Philanthropist of the West
Chapter 195 Dutch: I'm Not Clean
Upon seeing the suspected target appear, Dutch could only glare at Billy before ordering the others to quickly return to their designated location and await his instructions.
As the group quickly descended the stairs and slowly approached the location of the black-clad men's transaction, they saw them take out diamonds that glittered under the streetlights. Dutch then covered his face and led his men forward, surrounding the transaction participants with guns drawn.
"Gentlemen, this is a robbery..."
"If everyone does as I say, no one will die."
"If you piss me off, none of you will have a good ending."
Dutch recited his robbery lines fluently; he had said those lines countless times over the years, and they flowed perfectly from his lips.
This time, however, the robbed people did not panic as they had in the past when they were ordinary people or wealthy businessmen.
The leader of the men in black, speaking with a thick Italian accent, looked at Dutch with a cold and arrogant expression:
“We are working for Mr. Brontë. Who are you to stand in our way?”
"Stop talking nonsense and hand over the diamonds. I don't want anyone to die because of this."
Dutch stepped forward and slapped the man in black across the face; he couldn't stand being looked down upon. He pointed his gun at the man's head and threatened:
"Now! Immediately!"
"Unless you're willing to risk your life for these material possessions!"
“Give them the diamonds….”
The leader of the men in black stared at the dark muzzle of the gun pointed at him and at Dutch's somewhat crazed eyes. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and gritted his teeth as he spoke to his men.
"And all the money from the transaction, hand it all over."
Micah walked up to the carriage, opened the door, and tried to threaten the people inside to come out and hand over the money.
But Micah was met with the dark muzzle of a gun. Brontë's trusted lieutenant, Mattley, slowly stepped out of the carriage, pointing a gleaming black Mauser rifle at Micah.
"You guys are really bold, daring to rob the Brontë family's business in Saint Denis."
"Who gave you the audacity?"
As soon as a whistle blew, a number of gunmen dressed in black surrounded the alley.
Seeing that things were not going well, Dutch immediately grabbed the diamond, quickly circled around behind the leader of the men in black, leaned against the wall, pointed his gun at him, and used him as a hostage to push him to the front.
"Let us leave, or I guarantee you will pay a heavy price."
Just as the two sides were locked in a tense standoff, a blue-clad figure appeared again at the corner at the end of the street, patrolling the area. Upon seeing this, the figure immediately sounded a piercing siren.
"Oh, shif!"
"We should go."
Seeing that the police had been alerted and the situation was hopeless, Dutch pulled the man in black to the front to hold off the others, allowing them to quickly retreat into a dark alley. He then shoved the man in black aside, had Javier and the others throw several Molotov cocktails to hold off the enemy, and quickly disappeared into the darkness himself. This was the only retreat plan they had prepared after scouting the terrain.
As gunshots rang out, the city was jolted awake. Brontë's men and the guards of the East Wing sprang into action, sealing off and searching this slum that was usually neglected.
“We must split up and then return to camp to regroup. Otherwise, our group will be too conspicuous.”
Dutch quickly scanned the group, and after confirming that no one was injured, he decisively ordered the others to scatter and escape. After all, a single target could easily disappear without a trace by disguising themselves and disappearing into the slums, which was much easier than a group of people acting together.
Without hesitation, everyone followed Dutch's instructions and dispersed, each disappearing into the night using their own abilities.
Dutch himself took the diamond and headed north. After cleverly evading several searches, he finally escaped the East District at dawn and arrived in the suburbs north of Saint Denis.
Meanwhile, in the surrounding farms, some hardworking farmers had already woken up, cooked, and prepared to begin their day's hard work.
Smelling the aroma of food wafting through the air, Daqi swallowed hard. After a night of fleeing and not having eaten, he was starving and looked somewhat haggard. However, he was in a good mood.
Although the operation didn't go as smoothly as planned, it still achieved its objective. At least, the $10,000 reward was secure. It seemed like making money was quite easy lately. Adding to that the more than $10,000 he looted after eliminating the two families in Rhodes, he had earned over $20,000 in just a few days.
A peculiar sense of excitement welled up inside him; he thoroughly enjoyed the sense of accomplishment that came with a successful robbery.
"Hey, my friend!"
As Dutch was lost in thought, he passed by a shack when a sleazy man with a crooked mouth and monkey-like face, wearing a dirty overalls, called out to him.
"Are you hungry? Hmm? I have food. I have plenty of food inside, come in quickly."
Starving Dutch, tempted by the food, ignored the lewd look on the man named Sonny's face.
Unable to refuse Sunny's hospitality, he followed him into his dirty shack.
While thinking about delicious food, I also felt grateful that there are still good people in this dirty world...
But he soon regretted his idea.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice that Sonny, behind him, struck Dutch on the head with a stick as soon as he entered, knocking him unconscious.
In his hazy state, he seemed to be fed some strange things that made him feel unbearably hot, and he felt a pair of rough, large hands frantically groping his body...
After an unknown amount of time, Sonny sat down next to Dutch, smoking a cigarette with a sage-like expression, and looked at the disheveled Dutch with a sigh:
"Oh...you struggled. But you lost. But let me tell you, you're very strong. Really strong, my little pet."
"See? Friendship ain't so tough. Neither is YOU."
.......
When Dutch regained consciousness, it was already evening.
A wild boar cub, having escaped its mother's control, was drooling and nudging his body with its long snout.
He was dumped on the side of a desolate road, in extremely poor condition, utterly exhausted. It was as if his body had been completely drained. What he found particularly unbearable was the tingling sensation he felt below, like squeezing a withered chrysanthemum in the summer heat, as if someone had done something unspeakable to it…
He shook his still somewhat dazed head and slowly recalled the embarrassing experience he had suffered due to a moment of carelessness, which made him feel unusually angry.
"Fuck! fuck! fuck!"
After shouting "Fuck!" three times in a row with all his might to vent his uncontrollable anger, Dutch slumped weakly on the side of the road, conserving his energy and waiting for a kind passerby to help him, or for the wild boar that had been scared away by his shouts to be lured over and eaten so he could regain his strength.
