the next morning,

Three men and one woman rode slowly along the path on horseback; it was Henry and his party.

Indeed, after a sleepless night of contemplation, Chief Rain agreed to Henry's request and gathered his people, asking who was willing to follow Henry to explore the outside world of civilization.

Finally, Eagle, the chief's son, volunteered to step forward, along with a man and a woman behind him. The man was named Antora, and the woman was named Lorian; the three of them represented the younger generation.

Of course, Antora and Lorian also had another task: to protect the hot-blooded eagle.

At this moment, Henry, carrying an exquisite hard bow, was chatting with a flying eagle whose body was half painted in camouflage about the surrounding scenery, the Cotola Spring, which would later become a famous resort area.

Cotola Springs is a natural hot spring formed by underground geysers, with water temperatures exceeding 70°C, and is known as the hottest hot spring in the western United States.

Its spring water is a typical sulfate spring, rich in sulfates, sodium, calcium and other minerals, and has extremely high health benefits.

It would be great to acquire this place and develop it into a resort. I'll add that to my to-do list for now and think about it later; there's no rush.

“My people once saw a legendary wolf in this area. Shall we try to find it?”

The eagle, eager to try, craned its neck. Although the old chief had instructed them before they left that Henry should take the lead and that everyone should support each other.

But young people are often somewhat resentful, and they always want to determine who is superior.

"Alright, as you wish. It's a good opportunity to test the power of the bow the old chief gave me."

Henry patted the bow on his back, a gift from the old chief as a token of gratitude for his help before he officially left.

"But let me make this clear beforehand: if I'm lucky enough to find it before you, you have to grant me a small request. And you have to help me preserve it as a specimen."

Henry wanted to take the opportunity to have Eagle change into normal clothes, otherwise his current attire was too eye-catching and would make it difficult for him to integrate into society.

"No problem, as long as I can do it."

Flying Eagle was very confident. He didn't even ask what the specific requirements were. He didn't think he would lose.

After all, Native Americans have been hunting since birth, and when it comes to hunting, they are second to none. Moreover, the eagle is the best among them.

Who would have thought someone could cheat like that?

Henry knew that young people wouldn't listen to him if you talked to them too much. You had to be better than him and subdue him. Then, he would cooperate with you on his own initiative without you having to say anything.

Without a word, he immediately activated Eagle Vision to observe the surrounding clues.

He soon discovered a pile of feces not far away, and then found a recently deceased animal carcass along the road. It had obvious bite marks from a lone wolf and was very fresh.

It should be nearby!

Henry quickly gestured to the eagles, warning them to be careful, as wolves were said to be nearby and they didn't want to be ambushed.

Henry didn't notice that when he turned around to signal to Eagle and the others, a pair of glowing green eyes were staring at him from twenty meters to his left, and pounced on him the instant he turned around.

"Watch out, ahead."

Hearing the eagle's cry, Henry realized the danger. There was no time to draw the bow.

He could only immediately activate his Dead Eye, draw his dagger, and hold it in front of him.

It blocked the wolf king's gaping maw. Just then, the eagle's arrows arrived, firing three in quick succession, each hitting the wolf's body and leg.

The main problem was that Henry was too close to the wolf, and he dared not risk shooting it in the head, otherwise he was confident he could kill it with one arrow.

Henry then finished off the mortally wounded and howling wolf king with a dagger and sat down on the ground.

"That was exciting!" Even without the Flying Eagle, he was confident he could take down the Wolf King, at most suffering some injuries, which would only be a matter of a healing potion. But who wants to get injured if they can avoid it?

"Thank you, Flying Eagle. Your archery skills are superb. You truly deserve to be the best archer in the tribe."

Henry was generous with his praise. Young people need a lot of praise to be motivated. Even though his current physique looks almost like an eagle's.

"Your tracking skills are also very impressive; you were able to find the wolf king's trail before I did."

This doesn't make sense. Although I really want to deny it, just tell me what you want me to do, and I'll do what I say.

"Don't worry, it's nothing. It's just that once we get to town, the three of you should change into a bounty hunter outfit similar to mine. Your current attire is too eye-catching and makes it difficult to blend into society."

"Then, we'll get a bounty hunter badge together, so it'll be easier for us to occasionally work part-time catching criminals, and also for us to handle other errands."

"I haven't asked you yet. After you come back with me, do you want to follow me around or manage the ranch?" Henry realized he didn't know their plans.

"The chief instructed us to stay by your side and protect you for now, to observe and learn as much as possible, and to speak as little as possible. We'll decide on our next step based on how well we adapt," Flying Eagle replied.

"Alright, you guys process the wolf carcass here and turn it into a specimen when we get back. There's a treasure nearby, Eagle and I will go get it and come back to meet you later."

Henry turned to Antora, and after receiving a response, he led the eagle toward the railway south of Cotola Springs, where there was an abandoned train carriage that had been destroyed in an accident and contained two large gold bars.

When Henry returned to the Cotola Spring, Antora had already disposed of the wolf king's corpse.

Without further ado, Henry led them on a trek through mountains and rivers until they reached the vicinity of Bucks Station, where they retrieved three more gold bars halfway up a mountain.

Then, in the group of statues near the mysterious mountain house above the Bacchus Bridge, they found three more.

After resting and having lunch on the spot, they continued their trek through the mountains. The road was so winding that an ordinary person would have no way of finding it. Fortunately, they had experienced hunters like Flying Eagle to guide them; otherwise, Henry felt that he would have taken a lot of unnecessary detours on his own.

After passing through East Grizzly, we finally arrived safely at Oakleigh Pool, the location of the veteran's house, around noon the next day. Unfortunately, we didn't see the veteran or Buel; they were probably out hunting.

While Lorian and the others were cooking, Henry rowed to the central island and easily obtained the two gold bars there.

After returning and eating, we continued our journey.

"After we find the last place, I'll take you to Saint Denis, the largest city in the West, to experience it. After exchanging your goods there, we'll return to Blackwater."

After days of traveling, even Flying Eagle and his men were a bit listless. Seeing this, Henry encouraged them.

Sure enough, upon hearing that they would be able to go to the big city in a few days, they were a little nervous and a little excited, and their spirits lifted considerably.

The following evening, they finally arrived at the last treasure location, in the waterfall above the Pool of Bliss.

Considering the complex and dangerous roads inside, Henry decided to camp and rest where he was, and go in during the day tomorrow.

The next day, they again only took Flying Eagle with them, leaving the other two at the campsite to keep watch and remind others to be aware of the surrounding area.

This area is close to Butcher River village and the Moffrey family, who are known for their cannibalism; caution is advised.

To prevent slippery conditions and potential accidents in the cave, Henry and Eagle tied themselves together with ropes. This way, they wouldn't be too late to rescue each other in case of an accident.

Fortunately, after searching through the winding caves for half a day, they finally found the last four large gold bars. As long as they could sell them successfully in Saint Denis, the journey would be a perfect success.

But when they returned to the camp, Antora and Lorian were nowhere to be seen.
