"Go quickly! Those are your companions."

The little creature in front of her wouldn't budge no matter how Lin Chaoyan tried to persuade it. Having exhausted all other options, she lured it to the vicinity of the Maiasaura's nest using leaves. They were social animals, and the Maiasaura parents were incredibly responsible; she was genuinely afraid of being hunted down.

The little Maiasaura looked at her for a while and then trotted towards the Maiasaura's nest. Lin Chaoyan saw this and immediately turned around and left. However, she hadn't gone far when she noticed a familiar little creature next to her and looked puzzled.

"Hmm? Are there really that many runaway Maiasaura cubs?"

"Go away, go away, go find your mother. Children who run away from home are not good children." At this moment, a dark shadow swept across the sky. Lin Chaoyan immediately shrank into the bushes beside her, and the little creature next to her also ran to her side and squatted down together.

"...I mean, are all you Mother Dragons this cunning?" Lin Chaoyan was now certain that this was the little thing she had just sent back.

There are nearly 100 species of pterosaurs, including early species with long, tooth-filled jaws and long tails, and later species with significantly shortened tails and no teeth. Pterosaurs varied greatly in size, from small, bird-like forest pterosaurs to the largest flying creatures ever to have existed on Earth, such as Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzigos, with wingspans exceeding 12 meters.

Pterosaurs flew in a manner similar to that of modern bats.

The creature on its head, with its wings spread, is over two meters long. It has a huge sail-shaped crest on its head and a pointed beak like a woodpecker.

But unlike a woodpecker, its beak is half a meter long. If it pecks at a person, Lin Chaoyan even feels that she will be pierced through instantly.

"This is the last time. If you follow me again, I'll beat you up." Lin Chaoyan tried to poke the baby Maiasaura away with her index finger, but it only got closer. "Why are you sticking to me? I'm not your mother. Come on, I'll take you back."

She then tucked the cub under her arm and, using the surrounding environment as cover, headed back towards the vicinity of the Mother Dragon's nest.

Just as they were about to get close, Lin Chaoyan muttered, "Go!!" and threw the little cub into the group of Maiasaura cubs, then turned and left.

Afraid that the little cub would chase after her again, she hid in her spatial dimension. Sure enough, it was thrown out of the nest and sat down on the ground, looking dazed and confused, not knowing what had happened.

Not long after, Lin Chaoyan saw it running happily towards the spot where she had disappeared, circling around as if wondering why she was gone.

"What? It's become a spirit? I can raise a herbivore, but an adult can grow to nine meters tall~ I can't afford to raise one! Where am I going to find leaves for it..." Lin Chaoyan muttered to herself as she watched the little cub pitifully curl up in a circle around the place where she had disappeared.

"I don't care! It's a dinosaur, I'm even more pitiful than it! Time to eat." Lin Chaoyan stopped looking at it, figuring her parents wouldn't abandon it anyway, and went to cook herself a bowl of instant noodles.

"Waaaaah!! It smells so good! But there's not even an egg, I'm so pitiful~" Lin Chaoyan cried while washing her face. She had only chopped a few ferns all day and hadn't even gotten any water!

She must have been starving; she even drank the noodle soup clean. She assembled and made the bed she had prepared beforehand and lay down directly. She began to examine the system panel. "It seems much better than before! Please, anyone who comes back to life will do, as long as they can take me away from here."

"One percent? Bro, I've already finished my meal and it's only one percent? Can you fix it faster?" Lin Chaoyan poked at the system panel, the progress bar crawling slower than a snail.

Sigh... What a disaster! She lay in bed worrying about her future. "There's no land to cultivate here, I don't know martial arts, my physical strength is average, I can't even climb trees." Thinking about this, she quickly fell asleep, curled up in bed because she felt insecure.

In the latter half of the night, seemingly having a nightmare, she began groaning and kicking her legs wildly. Lin Chaoyan abruptly opened her eyes, sitting on the bed, panting heavily. Sweat soaked her forehead, and her disheveled hair clung to her face. She wiped her face, hugged her knees, and began to sob softly. (She was only 16, a freshman in high school, still a minor. No matter how independent and sensible she was, she was still a child, lacking social experience; all she knew was textbook knowledge.)

Lin Chaoyan sat there until dawn. After a quick wash, she heated up two frozen buns and prepared to head out to continue her adventures. After all, she had to survive!

When her foot stepped onto the grass again, the little mother dragon immediately ran over in a panic to nuzzle her.

"Don't you have parents anymore?" I don't either now, Lin Chaoyan felt a pang of sympathy for it. "Then let's depend on each other for survival! You dinosaurs are so awesome, so from now on you'll be called Dog Egg!" Being alone is too lonely! I might die before you.

Lin Chaoyan looked up at the sun in the sky, and with the surrounding temperature around 20 degrees Celsius and the fresh air, she said, "If it were the Cretaceous period, we wouldn't need to worry about harsh winters. Winter temperatures would be 4-8 degrees Celsius, not freezing to death, and there would be no ice all year round. Summers would be around 20 degrees Celsius, quite cool. So we wouldn't need to worry about frigid winters and scorching summers. But that would mean the dinosaurs were going to go extinct soon!" After saying that, she looked at the little Maiasaura that was sticking close to her, thinking that if she could go back, she would put it in her spatial storage and take it with her, sharing both good times and bad.

"Eat up!" Lin Chaoyan led it to the low-lying ferns, gesturing for it to eat quickly, but the creature just tilted its head and looked at her.

Is this baby Maiasaura an idiot? Food's right there in its eyes, what's it waiting for? Lin Chaoyan chopped off a piece and handed it to it, and good heavens, it immediately started gobbling it down. "...Hey Gou Dan! You're useless, you know that? You weren't abandoned because you're stupid, were you? Don't you know you can feed yourself?" If it couldn't learn to forage for itself, Lin Chaoyan planned to abandon it. She was already quite weak; she couldn't let it hold her back.

After finishing one fern, it was still looking on expectantly. Lin Chaoyan forcefully slapped the fern beside her, "Eat it yourself! If you can't eat by yourself, I won't want you anymore." You, a dinosaur, are waiting for me to feed you all by myself?

The little mammoth immediately snuggled up to her, nudging her leg with its head. Lin Chaoyan was exasperated, realizing that this creature wasn't stupid at all, it was just lazy. She shoved it away, pointed at the bracken seedlings beside her, and sternly scolded, "Don't stick to me, eat by yourself! I'm a minor too, I'm still a baby!"

It seemed to understand, and reluctantly ran over and took a bite of the bracken, while still glancing at Lin Chaoyan.

Wow! At least it has the intelligence of a dog, and it even knows how to bully the weak and fear the strong. Just as Lin Chaoyan was lost in thought while looking at the mother dragon cub, a huge black shadow suddenly appeared in the sky.

Startled, she immediately lay down in the grass. Feeling something brush against her body, Lin Chaoyan turned her head and shook her head helplessly. Sure enough, it was it. Its ability to mimic was truly remarkable. She noticed the dark shadow getting closer and closer. Although she could guess what it was, she was still greatly surprised when she saw it clearly.

Holy crap! Is that a Quetzalcoatlus? From the Late Cretaceous? Before she could think any further, she noticed that the sixth one was taking the opportunity to rush down towards them. Anyone with a brain knows what a pterosaur flying over at this time is for.

Just as Lin Chaoyan was about to pick up the baby Maiasaura and hide in her spatial dimension, she realized her target wasn't her. She heard a pitiful cry, and a small Spinosaurus, about the size of a golden-haired bird, was being carried away by the older Pteranodon. (Many herbivorous dinosaurs can coexist peacefully when there's an abundance of plants. Of course, I'm not a professional; my understanding is only superficial.)

The little Spinosaurus's pitiful cries also startled all the other adult herbivorous dinosaurs present. These adult Spinosaurus could only stand there and roar angrily as they watched the pterosaurs that had already taken flight.

The two minors, one human and one dragon, exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with a wicked sense of relief that they weren't the unlucky ones.

"Let's go, Gou Dan! We're going to fetch water. You keep watch for me. Call me if anything happens, okay?" Lin Chaoyan knew that herbivorous dinosaurs weren't very aggressive. They wouldn't even attack her if there were enough plants. If they encountered danger, they would only run away or play dead.

If this guy dares to abandon me and run away, I'll eat his flesh if I survive.

Seeing that it didn't react, I flicked it on the head. "I'm talking to you, did you hear me?"

The little maternal dragon squinted its eyes to show goodwill and then ran ahead to lead the way. Lin Chaoyan followed it and jogged to a shallow beach where the water was crystal clear. She quickly took out the huge white plastic water tank from her space and began to pour it into the water one bucket at a time.

The other herbivorous dinosaurs stopped drinking and curiously observed Lin Chaoyan's actions. After finishing the bucket of water, her back and waist ached all over, and she couldn't help but mutter a complaint under her breath: "This is really killing me!"
