Chapter 95: My Prince (24)

Song Zhishu was thrown out

"I'm so sad." She clutched her chest, feeling a dull ache.

“Princess…” Avril blushed and glanced around. “Let’s go quickly! It’s so early in the morning. If someone sees you going to Edel’s room, they’ll gossip to death!”

"Let them talk. I'll still get married eventually anyway." Song Zhishu's eyes flickered, and she stood up indifferently, giving off a "what's the use" vibe.

What was said unintentionally was taken to heart by the listener.

Upon hearing Song Zhishu's words, Avi bit her lip gently and lowered her head in guilt.

Seeing her like this, Song Zhishu immediately realized how suicidal she had just said. She slapped her forehead, preparing to explain, when the door suddenly opened. Her bewildered pupils reflected the dark gaze beneath Edel's indifferent eyes.

Edel looked at Song Zhishu, who seemed completely oblivious, and his hands, hanging at his sides, suddenly clenched into fists. A chilling smile played on his lips. Was she faking it?

His cold laugh sent shivers down Song Zhishu's spine.

Well, now she was truly terrified.

"Princess, weren't we going to fly kites?" Edel resumed his usual businesslike manner, his eyes gleaming as he looked at Song Zhishu.

Clearly, Song Zhishu was hesitant. Although she longed for a free spirit like that of a kite, she was afraid that if Edel threw her onto a kite and set her free in that remote forest, her soul would truly be set free.

“Princess.” Edel’s tone became firm, almost threatening, “You came to my…” “Enough!” Song Zhishu covered her ears, not wanting to hear about the mistakes she had made in her youth, and had no choice but to agree: “I’ll go, I’ll go. It’s just flying a kite, it’s not like I’ve never flown one before.” She glanced at the worried Avril behind her, nodded reassuringly, and then haughtily raised her noble head: “Little Edel, lead the way.”

Since I'm going to die anyway, why would I come here if I don't have some fun with you before I die?

Edel lowered his eyes, his smile so refined it seemed as if it hadn't crossed any line of his pride: "Yes, Princess." He suddenly looked up again: "Have a pleasant day, Princess."

Song Zhishu, flustered and unable to control her expression, forced a smile and nodded perfunctorily: "Yes, yes, and I also ask the housekeeper to protect me well, otherwise if something happens to me, you will be the next person to die with me. I don't want you to suffer such a great injustice, after all, you love me so much."

Edel's mocking expression didn't move Song Zhishu much. But his last sentence successfully made the man pause for a moment, his heart skipped a beat, before he regained his composure, as if everything had just been a dream.

In response, Song Zhishu threw away the social commentary she was holding and said disdainfully, "I'm very noble, you're not worthy of me."

The little white dumpling blushed and said to the viewers in front of the screen, "I'm sorry, I've made a fool of myself."

Edel stared at Song Zhishu for a few seconds before turning away and striding forward without looking back.

"You little brat, aren't you going to wait for me?" Song Zhishu gritted her teeth, but her body still followed him without hesitation.

Spring is already quite warm now, but in this Western world, this fleeting paradise won't stay for even a second, offering you a final glimmer of hope as if it were a handout.
