Chapter 92: My Prince (21)

Song Zhishu was stunned when she heard the warning about turning evil.

Damn it, what kind of man is this? He was just grinning like a pervert a moment ago, how did he suddenly turn evil?

“In that case,” before Song Zhishu could even think, she heard Eder’s unusually gentle voice: “Prince Mudeya wants to seek justice for Avelli, and Avelli doesn’t want Prince Mudeya to suffer before the King.” He gently drew his sword from its sheath, the gleaming blade painfully sharp. He suddenly exerted force, and in the blink of an eye, the sword was against the assassin’s neck. His voice was gentle and unyielding: “Then kill him.”

Song Zhishu was startled. She looked at the man who seemed to have gone mad with confusion. She guessed it. This man must be Eder's loyal subordinate. He must have lost his composure and tried to assassinate her on his own. Because Avril's back looked so much like hers, he made a big mistake in a moment of excitement.

But Edel was different. This exceptionally intelligent man would always have enough reasons to exonerate him without losing a single penny of himself, which was also his way of acting out of loyalty and righteousness.

But now he has suddenly resorted to this desperate measure, which seems puzzling, but Song Zhishu understands what he wants to do.

"No!" Avril screamed, shaking her head violently. "No, we can't kill him, it's a human life..."

“But Miss Avril, if we don’t kill him, Prince Mudya will have to go. This assassin keeps saying that Her Majesty the Princess ordered her. Do you think the King, that stubborn man, will protect whom?” Seeing Avril’s conflicted expression, Edel’s smile widened.

Yes, that's the expression.

I'll make you suffer terribly because of me.

But this wasn't for him; it was just Avril's forced act of kindness as the female lead. Yet, Edel still believed it, almost obsessively, because it was because of him that he hesitated.

Song Zhishu felt a chill run down her spine. She couldn't accept Eder like this. Looking at the silent assassin, she felt a pang of sorrow. How loyal must he be to remain unmoved like this?

"Enough, Edel." She interrupted Edel's self-amusement coldly and walked in front of her.

Edel's Adam's apple bobbed, and it took him a great deal of patience to lower his head. He smiled politely, as if nothing had happened, but his grip on the longsword tightened. He chuckled softly, "Your Highness, why don't you decide?"

Song Zhishu remained silent, her eyes seemingly veiled in mist, making it impossible to discern her thoughts. Edel, however, felt a strange unease; he had a feeling that this carefree little princess from moments before seemed to have discovered something.

“What if I ask you to kill him?” Song Zhishu said coolly, her eyes revealing a panicked calm. Edel’s hand visibly trembled, his voice as cold as ice, yet he still lowered his head and said meekly, “Then I will kill him.”

You all like him

Everyone likes this disgusting man

He raised the sword in his hand, which seemed to be thirsting for blood, wanting to vent his resentment on this innocent man.

Assassin: This is fucking tough for me.

As the longsword was about to fall, Avili instinctively covered her eyes. Yes, she had chosen Mudeya. Even knowing that it was impossible to settle things peacefully, she still wanted to try and get some benefit for Mudeya, even if it was just a little.

Yes, even a little bit
