Chapter 22, The Great Escape

Franklin, Patch, and Karim sped off on their motorcycles. Karim yelled, "Guys, stick close to me!" The three motorcycles raced wildly through the streets of Los Santos. At an intersection, Karim suddenly turned, and Patch, seeing the sudden turn, nearly crashed into a speeding sports car. Franklin, being behind, managed to avoid a collision. Patch immediately grumbled, "Shouldn't the riders tell us how to go? Can't they give us advance notice before turning?"

Karim felt really embarrassed, so he said to the two men, "Sorry, guys! I'll let you know in advance next time! But the motorcycle I chose was awesome, wasn't it? Look, the cops are way behind us, they can only keep inhaling our exhaust fumes!"

Patch: "Hmm, your motorcycle is really nice!"

Franklin: "The Bati 801 Pegassi 801 motorcycle (prototype: Ducati 848)! It's definitely good, with a very high cost-performance ratio!"

Karim: "Haha, I'm getting embarrassed if you guys keep praising me like that! By the way, we're about to rush off the bridge ahead! Be careful!"

The three motorcycles sped off the bridge through the gap, and the three men screamed, "Whoa!"

Patch: "That's fucking dangerous!"

Karim: "Ha, it's alright! By the way, we're going into a subway tunnel under construction ahead, everyone be careful!"

After rushing in, the group discovered that the road was almost entirely dirt. Patty shouted, "Damn it, this kind of car can't handle this kind of road!"

Karim: "Ugh, yeah, I didn't know there would be muddy roads. If I'd known, I wouldn't have used these motorcycles; I should have chosen some off-road ones! Now we can only go straight through here!" A moment later, Karim added, "Damn it, God, there's a fork in the road. I don't know... I hope this is it!" Franklin and Patch had no choice but to follow. But they didn't know this was just the beginning. Sure enough, they soon arrived at a drainage area. The three motorcycles moved slowly in the water, unable to reach their full speed. Franklin noticed something was wrong with the engine of his motorcycle and thought, "Damn! Could we be this unlucky? It was fine during the game; could it break down now? Looks like I can only pray we reach our destination quickly!" The three motorcycles bounced and swayed in the tunnel. At this moment, Karim said, "I don't know which the hell we should go?"

Franklin shouted, "Don't panic! We need to get out of here quickly, or the motorcycle won't be able to handle it, and we'll be doomed! Karim, believe in yourself! We believe in you too!"

Patch: "Yeah, buddy, don't panic, we still need you to lead the way!"

Karim: "Okay, thank you! Follow me!"

Patch: "My motorcycle is about to give way!"

Franklin: "Mine is the same. Don't panic, trust that we'll be out soon!"

Karim: "There's a road leading out here—but I don't know if it's the right exit! Pray, hopefully the trucks are here!"

Just then, Ricky's voice rang in their ears: "Just a heads-up... the cops are waiting for you at the Los Santos River. We'll try to help you!"

The three motorcycles arrived at the exit at the same time, and with the help of the small slope, they rushed out in one go. Then many motorcycles chased after them!

Franklin: "Hey Mike, we're surrounded, and our motorcycles are having some problems. We need your help!"

Mike: "Keep going. The crash bars on this truck should help us deal with these cops. Leave it to me!"

Just as a police car was about to approach Franklin's motorcycle, Mike drove his truck in from the side! The truck's bumper slammed into the police car, flipping it over. Inside, Mike yelled, "Wow! That felt good! Again! You fucking back off!"

Ricky, who was watching this scene from the side, laughed and said, "Dude, you're really crazy. I feel sorry for these cops!"

Mike: "Yeah, their motorcycles don't look too good. It's our turn to shine!" No sooner had he spoken than Mike rammed into another police car. Mike's madness reduced the number of police cars around the three motorcycles. Franklin suddenly said, "There's a roadblock ahead. We should just go straight to the other side of the river!" At that moment, the three motorcycles sped across the river. Patch shouted, "Hey buddy, this river is shallow. Hurry up and ride over too!"

Karim: "Come help us finish this! I think we can get out of here! Get rid of them!"

Mike: "Got it!"

Ricky saw a large number of police cars suddenly rushing out of the tunnel next to him and shouted, "Cops, there are cops everywhere! Uh! More cops coming! Wow! Man, you took down another one! That's intense! I think we need to get going!"

Karim: "Dude, our motorcycles are about to break down! Take care of them quickly!"

Franklin: "Quick, get to the other side!" With the help of three motorcycles and a truck, the group finally managed to shake off the cops temporarily. Ricky excitedly said, "I think we've gotten rid of the cops!"

Mike: "Alright, we have a break! Everyone drive to the end of the river first, then load the motorcycles into the truck."

After everyone reached the riverbank, Mike called out, "Frankenstein, come on!"

Franklin: "Let's go in!" The three motorcycles rode into the freight car together! Inside the car, Franklin secretly took a ring out of his bag! (It'll be useful!) Of course, the other two didn't notice!

At this moment, Mike said, "Leicester is in the garage not far away!" Mike drove everyone to the garage.

"Damn, I thought I was going to be stuck on that motorcycle!" Patch said from inside the carriage.

Karim: "Yeah, I thought we'd be trapped in police cars too! There must be even more guys waiting for us along the way. You think you can escape with that junk? No way?"

Franklin smiled and said, "Let Mike tell us the result!"

After hearing this, Mike shouted, "You know what? I think we really succeeded!"

Karim: "Ha, man, that's fantastic!"

Ricky: "Yay!"

Patch: "Awesome!"

Mike: "That's how the job is, guys! We did it!" At this moment, everyone arrived at the garage, and Lester said to Mike: "Okay, just put it in the loading dock."

Mike: "Call your jewelry buyer right away, dear Lester, we've got the goods!" After arriving at the garage and parking the car, the group gathered together. Mike said to everyone, "We need to split up; they're searching for a team."

Lester continued, "After the jewelry is sold, I will transfer everyone's share of the profits to you."

Karim: "That was close! Now? Should we leave right away?"

Mike: "Everyone did a great job. Let's split up right away and keep a low profile!"

Franklin said to Patch, "Well done! Brother, I'll contact you later!"

Patch: "Okay, I have high hopes for you this time! See you later, bro!"

With everyone else gone, only Lester, Mike, and Franklin remained. Mike said, "Hey, you did a great job, kid! Right, Lester? I told you so?"

Lester: "Yes, very good!"

Mike: "Listen, Lester and I have some things to take care of. Come to my place later, and we'll have a proper celebration! Okay?"

Franklin: "No problem, see you later!"

Finally, Mike looked at Lester and said, "I think we're back to where we used to be!"
