Chapter 2 The Long Night
♂』Los Santos, South, Fulton Drive, Franklin House.
There's an old Chinese saying, "Since you're here, make the best of it." Franklin's excellent mental fortitude was on full display at this moment (actually, he was just carefree). As he lay in bed, Franklin began to think, and suddenly the backstories of the protagonists of GTA 5 appeared in his mind.
First and foremost, there's himself, Franklin. Born in Los Santos in 1988, Franklin's parents were both drug addicts. Growing up, he frequently heard stories of his father abusing his mother, abandoning her while she was pregnant.
After his mother died, he lived with his grandparents on both sides, and that's when he met Tonya and **.
adshaw. Despite his grandmother's great affection for him, he embarked on a path of street thugs, one of his first jobs being selling cigarettes with a gangster. They successfully planned this scheme until his grandmother caught them red-handed.
F, along with Lamar, Tanisha, and Tonya, attended Davis High School, but were expelled due to some incident. During this time, he began his gang life, becoming a drug dealer and engaging in petty crimes such as carjacking and robbing small banks with Lamar. In his first robbery, he stole $2, but the money was ruined because he used a dyepack. Afterward, he worked for a drug dealer named Marcus who was later murdered. In 2008, he was arrested and imprisoned. After his release, he decided to leave his gang life and find legitimate work.
A few months before the events of GTA 5, F and Lamar start working for an Armenian simeonyetarian, which leads to the car theft incident.
Next is Mike Townley. Michael was probably born in 1965 or 1968, likely in the Midwest. His childhood was marked by a terrible upbringing; he grew up in a trailer, his alcoholic father frequently beat him, and soon abandoned the family. During his high school years, Michael became an outstanding American football player, sometimes even appearing in the local newspaper, but his terrible temper and inexplicable actions ultimately led to his expulsion from the team.
As a young man, he quickly turned to crime, having already been imprisoned twice by the age of 20. He committed his first robbery in Carcercity in 1988, stealing $10,000. During his time in prison, he acquired skills that most people wouldn't possess, such as tattooing. After that, he also met Lester Crest, a master of criminal espionage.
In 1993, a young Canadian named Trevor (another protagonist in GTA 5, introduced later) was escorting a cargo ship across the border when he met Michael. During this incident, Michael witnessed Trevor's extraordinary talent and successfully pulled the aimless Trevor into his criminal world. Michael later met his future wife, Amanda, at a strip club, and after a flirtatious encounter, they began a stable relationship. Michael even used the money he earned from his crimes to pay for Amanda's breast augmentation, hoping to boost her career. Amanda subsequently became pregnant and gave birth to twins, Jimmy and Tracey. A few months later, they married. After starting a family, Michael began to feel that he shouldn't continue down the path of crime; it was too risky, and he feared that if something happened to him, he wouldn't see much of the future. Trevor also began to occasionally criticize Michael for becoming weak. A few years later, Trevor met...
Adsnider (the guy who later died), this young man started doing robberies with Michael and Trevor. But...
Ad and Michael never really liked or trusted each other.
AD even planned to tell T at some point in the future that he wanted to end his relationship with Michael and go solo. (Hereafter, I will refer to Michael as M and Trevor as T.) Sometime in 2004, FIB agent Davenorton made a deal with M, the contents of which are probably well-known: M framed T and...

In exchange for FIB's protection, M gave Dave a five-figure sum every month in exchange for a new identity and for his entire family to move to Lossantos. M also allowed Dave to "kill" him and take all the "honors of killing America's most wanted criminal," leading to the mission at the beginning of GTA 5. However, the whole thing turned into a huge disaster. "Plans never keep up with changes." T killed the security guard with M's face, and later the three of them were attacked by a group of police. During the escape, the driver was killed, and M pushed the dead driver off the road before driving towards the ambush location he and FIB had agreed upon. Again, disaster struck. To avoid the North Carolina State Police's lines, M collided with a train, forcing the three of them to flee on foot. And then, another accident occurred...
Ad was unexpectedly sniped by Norton and eventually died from his wounds. M was "hit" by the second bullet as planned, but there were no wounds or signs of bleeding. M told T to leave him alone and escape, but T was attacked by a large number of police officers who arrived at the scene. Helpless, T abandoned M and fled into the jungle.
Following this incident, M was declared dead, but what was actually buried underground was...

Ad, however, concealed the truth and claimed to have been sentenced to life imprisonment. M and his family subsequently moved to a mansion in Lossantos, Rockford Hills, and entered an informal witness protection program, changing their name to Santa. Michael's life in Lossantos became a complete nightmare. After abandoning his criminal career, he became extremely depressed, spending his days drinking and sunbathing. His relationship with his children deteriorated, and he was even caught in the act of rape. Similarly, Amanda herself had many affairs and spent a lot of the family's money on plastic surgery. Ultimately, Michael began his midlife crisis and started seeing an expensive, troubled psychiatrist, Isiah Friedlander, who seemed completely uncaring about Michael's life (an American psychiatrist, notoriously good at making money). This doctor can be killed off later in the game.
Secondly, there's Trevor. Trevor's background information comes from his own words, but everyone exaggerates sometimes.
Trevor was born in Canada, on the US-Canada border. In a conversation with Franklin, he stated that he lived in 5 states, 2 countries, 14 different homes, had 8 fathers, and one mother. Even in his childhood, his temper and violent tendencies prevented him from integrating well into mainstream society.
Trevor had a terrible childhood. His father often beat him, and his mother frequently verbally abused him, calling him a "useless child." His father abandoned him in a shopping mall when he was young. He also mentioned that he had a brother named Ryan, who died in an "accident" before 2013.
Trevor himself said he dropped out of school, which probably explains why he didn't know some common-sense things, such as the location of ancient Rome. Trevor was very good at math; his friend Wade said Trevor was exceptionally good with numbers. Later, he discovered he had a talent for flying, so he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. However, after a few days of training, Trevor was diagnosed with mental problems by an "old witch" and thus "confined" to the ground.
Early criminal career:
After retiring from the military, he aimlessly engaged in small-scale criminal activities. He told Lamar that he had never committed any serious, organized crimes before meeting M. His first robbery ended in a major failure; the teller recognized him, resulting in a six-month prison sentence. Later, M and Amanda began a relationship, which caused some friction between M and T, as T and Amanda had never gotten along well. Even so, T inexplicably became the uncle of M's two children. In the following years, M, burdened by family matters, became a cautious criminal. T began to slowly perceive M as weak, and later, T met...

T and M maintained their criminal partnership until a failed robbery in 2004.
AD and an unnamed runaway driver were killed, and you all know what happened next (if you don't know, you can play GTA 5 Chapter 1 and read Michael's bio above). T and M both mistakenly believed the other was dead. T couldn't access his bank account because his identity was exposed, but he cleverly evaded the police for years and settled in Sandyshore, San Diego. There, he became addicted to drugs and built a small criminal organization with his partners Ron, Wade, and Chef. During this time, he also had business dealings with the Aztecas gang, the O'Neil brothers, and The Lost.
These two were people he had to meet and cooperate with since coming into this world, so Franklin had to recall their information in detail. Looking at the ceiling, Franklin thought, "Simon will probably call in the next couple of days. The story is about to begin. I'm really looking forward to it!"
