Chapter 12, Racing! Another Encounter with a Beautiful Woman!

♂』South Los Santos, Fulton Drive, Franklin House.

That evening, Franklin returned home, took a shower, changed his clothes, and was just about to plan how to quickly integrate into Mike's team and become a core member when something unpleasant happened. Franklin's aunt, Denise, invited her friends over to his house, and the group kept screaming (don't get the wrong idea!), like they were performing a ritual (in the author's hometown, this is called shamanistic dancing!). Franklin couldn't stand it anymore and decided to leave. Once outside, where to go for some entertainment that night? A brilliant idea struck him: "That's it! I can go racing! I'll go find Ah Hao first!" Without hesitation, Franklin set off in his Dodge to find Ah Hao. Just as he reached Chamberlain Hill (the street!), his phone rang. Franklin saw it was Lamar and answered it.

Franklin: "Hey, Rama! What's up, bro?"

Lama: "Hey, so, is it okay if little Cha stays at your house for a few days?"

Franklin: "Of course, this is the safest place for it. Are you being hunted by the Bales?"

Lama: "No way! Don't talk like nobody wants you to get a spanking. Can you take good care of Cha for me?"

Franklin: "No problem, don't worry, brother!"

As soon as Franklin drove up to the entrance of Forbidden Fruit Avenue, he saw Ah Hao leaning against his car in an alley, playing on his phone. Franklin drove over, got out of the car, and greeted Ah Hao: "Hey, Ah Hao!"

Ah Hao: "Franklin? Are you kidding me! That bastard Lamar hasn't even gotten you hurt yet, has he?"

Franklin was taken aback by the sudden question and hastily replied, "Uh... no, not yet."

Ah Hao: "Oh, then he must be slacking off! He's a complete idiot, bro!"

Franklin: "Yes, sometimes."

Ah Hao: "Since we're talking about idiots, let me tell you, I know a bunch of idiots who organized a small race. What do you think? If you're lucky enough, that beautiful silver medal will definitely be yours."

Franklin: "Really? It seems I'm only interested in gold medals."

Ah Hao: "Really? Don't just talk the talk, come on, let's go and try it together!"

After saying that, Ahao got into his modified Pentium Brake (prototype: Mitsubishi Eclipse), and Franklin got into his Dodge Coupe. The two drove out of the alley one after the other and headed to the racetrack location.

Upon arriving at their destination, Franklin's calm heart stirred with excitement at the sight before him. The scene was lively (similar to a Fast & Furious movie), with men and women, and various meticulously modified sports cars, including the Benefactor Freed (based on a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG), the Dinosaur Clown (based on a Volkswagen NSXR Star God), and the Ultimate Vitality (based on a Chevrolet Z28). Loud, rhythmic music blared from the speakers, and everyone was clearly incredibly excited. Franklin thought it wouldn't hurt to join in the fun. Franklin and Ahao walked over together. Ahao was clearly familiar with them; upon seeing him, they greeted him warmly (probably because they frequently had their cars modified by him): "Hey, Ahao, what brings you here to play!"

Ah Hao: "I brought my friend here to broaden his horizons. Let me introduce you to Franklin! He's a great driver."

Franklin: "Hi everyone!"

Just then, a hot-dressed girl walked over and said, "Wow, he's quite the young heartthrob! It's just that his skin is a bit dark." The whole room burst into laughter.

Franklin's anger flared up, and he said with a smile, "Are you here to compete, or to just talk your way out of things?"

The hot girl: "You..." She was about to retort when another woman interrupted her. A beautiful black woman walked over to Franklin, clapped her hands, and said, "He's right, are you here to just talk?" She then extended her hand to Franklin: "Hey, hello, I'm Les Ribeiro (you can Google it if you want!)! Would you mind if I rode in your car tonight? Let me see your driving skills!"

Seeing how enthusiastic the beautiful woman was towards him, Franklin figured there was no reason to refuse, so he calmly replied, "Franklin, of course!"

Seeing the two chatting and laughing, a burly Black man stepped out from the crowd. "Hey kid, I'll show you what racing is all about, what driving skills are all about! You'd better watch out!" Although he was speaking to Franklin, his eyes never left Les Ribeiro. Franklin wasn't stupid; he could tell that this guy really cared about this woman, but he didn't need to back down. So he smiled and said, "Really? Then I'll have to learn a thing or two! You'd better drive slowly, or I won't be able to see you anymore!"

After listening, Rhys Ribeiro rolled his eyes at Franklin and said, "I didn't expect you to be so humorous!"

At that moment, someone announced, "The race is about to begin, everyone get ready! Today's race is two laps around the city (the Black ghetto, not the whole of Los Santos!)!" With the roar of engines, all the cars moved into their positions.

Inside Franklin's car. Ries Ribeiro: "Hey, watch out! That was Tomboy the guy talking to you. He's a really good driver, the best around here. He drives a Vigoro (Don's car in Fast & Furious 4, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro). He's modified it a lot, it's incredibly powerful. Be careful!"

Franklin looked at her with a smile and said, "You seem very worried about me! Do you have so little faith in me?"

Les Ribeiro: "To be honest, I think your chances of winning are zero. I just don't want to see him, so I'll be in your car tonight." Franklin Clinton realized that he had been used as a shield, and he couldn't let himself be taken advantage of like that.

Franklin: "Since you have so little faith in me, how about we make a bet?"

Rice Ribeiro: "What are we betting on?"

Franklin: "If I win, how about I kiss you in public?"

Lais Ribeiro thought he couldn't win anyway, so he said, "Okay, but if you lose, you have to do something for me. I haven't thought about it yet!"

Franklin: "Okay! Sit tight!" Just as he finished speaking, the girl in front of him took her bra out of her clothes, shook it a few times on her head, then suddenly put it down and shouted, "Go!"

At that moment, all the race cars shot off like arrows. Leading the charge were Tom Penny and his Vigoro (Don's car in Fast & Furious 4, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro), while Franklin and his Dodge were at the very back.

Inside Franklin's car, watching the buildings on either side rush past, Les Ribeiro chuckled and said, "Honey, you're in last place now, don't you want to do something about it?"

Franklin: "Don't rush at the beginning!" After saying that, Franklin pressed the clutch hard during the sharp turn, then swerved the steering wheel sharply to the left, narrowly overtaking the three cars blocking his path, and then directly overtook the first place to become second! Meanwhile, in the car, Rice Ribeiro's heart was in turmoil. What had just happened? The distance of a sharp turn, the time of a sharp turn, and he had overtaken three cars in an instant. How much driving skill did that require? A slight mistake could have resulted in a collision. How could this clumsy Dodge Charger become so agile in his hands? Rice Ribeiro's eyes were filled with surprise and disbelief as he stared blankly at Franklin.

Of course, it wasn't just Les Ribeiro who had this idea; several contestants, including Ahao, also found it incredibly moving!

After rounding the bend, Tomny saw in his rearview mirror that the car had become a Dodge Charger, but a look of disdain appeared on his face. He thought, "You're pretty good, kid. Those guys are too weak! You can overtake them, but you can't overtake me!" After thinking that, he suddenly stepped on the gas pedal to the floor. Ahead was a very long straight road! Tomny and his Vigorous Powertrain immediately pulled away from Franklin's Dodge Charger.

Inside Franklin's car. Rhys Ribeiro saw Tompuney pull ahead on the straightaway and breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, "Thank goodness. His driving skills are good, but the car's performance is his insurmountable weakness. It seems he can't win!" Thinking this, Rhys Ribeiro felt both happy that she had won her bet and a little disappointed, though she didn't know why. "Do I really want him to kiss me in public?" The thought made Rhys Ribeiro's face flush red. Meanwhile, our protagonist, Franklin, didn't notice this at all, and instead hummed a song, completely unconcerned about losing!

The last corner of the second lap—after this was the finish line. Just when everyone thought Franklin was doomed, he knew his chance had come. He floored the accelerator, and as he entered the corner, Franklin's Dodge Charger and Tompini's Vigorous Powertrain were side-by-side. Tompini laughed, "Is he crazy? He can't possibly get through this corner at that speed. If he's going to die, I don't need to go with him. It's just a pity about that little bitch, Rice Ribeiro! I haven't even had my fun yet! Go to hell!" Thinking this, Tompini slowed down, but Franklin showed no sign of braking. Rice Ribeiro, sitting next to him, yelled, "You lunatic! At this rate, we'll all die!" "!" Just when everyone thought Franklin and his Dodge were going to be totaled, Franklin slammed on the brakes. The car immediately became unbalanced, and the strong centrifugal force made Rice Ribeiro hold on tightly to the door. At this moment, Franklin became unusually calm. He looked ahead quietly, listened to the sound of the car engine, and slowly adjusted the direction and throttle according to the extent of the rear-end drift, maintaining the balance of the car's drifting state. For Rice Ribeiro, this bend seemed to have taken her half a century, but to outsiders, in Tomson's eyes, it was only a moment, and the car drew a beautiful arc.

Franklin finished the race first, winning first place! When Franklin stopped the car, Lais Ribeiro was still thinking about what had just happened. Franklin smiled, patted Lais Ribeiro on the shoulder, and said, "Hey beautiful, snap out of it! We won!" Lais Ribeiro suddenly hugged Franklin, who felt a little shy from the sudden hug. After they got out of the car, someone handed Franklin the prize money. Lais Ribeiro hugged Franklin and gave him a passionate kiss, and Franklin hugged her back. They kissed intensely, and the crowd screamed and applauded! This scene was witnessed by Tompuney, who walked up to Franklin and said, "Kid, you wait!" Then he left.

The two ended their passionate kiss, and Lais Ribeiro said to Franklin with great concern, "You'd better be careful. He's a key member of the Bale Gang, and they'll definitely retaliate against you!" Franklin suddenly grabbed Lais Ribeiro's small hand and said with a sly grin, "Baby, are you worried about me?" Lais Ribeiro slapped Franklin's hand away, rolled her eyes at him, and was about to leave. How could Franklin let such a beautiful woman leave so easily? Franklin said, "Um, could you give me your contact information?" Seeing Franklin, Lais Ribeiro felt both annoyed and amused. The two exchanged contact information, and Lais Ribeiro left.

Ah Hao walked over at this moment: "Kid, not bad! To celebrate you getting first place, come to my place sometime, I'll help you modify your car, for free! Okay, brother, I'm off!" Franklin: "Okay, thanks brother!" After saying that, the two drove away.
