League of Legends Invincible Coach

Chapter 40 Gods and Glory, Eagles and Ants

In the past, esports coaches' pre-match lineup arrangements and tactical plans were shrouded in mystery.

They don't even do post-match announcements.

They kept it hidden, afraid that others would find out and figure it out, so they could make targeted arrangements during the competition.

Not to mention someone like Wu Di, who confidently and boldly showcases his tactical arrangements in the live video broadcast of the match.

As a result, the glory of victory was almost entirely attributed to the players on the field, and almost all the spectators believed that it was their brilliant performance that won the game.

If the game is lost, the coach is always blamed.

Those who can't draft, make random tactical decisions, and only know how to buy barbecue and order takeout are just slackers. Anyone can be an esports coach.

However, with Wu Di, the live broadcast tells you what tactics I've arranged, and the audience can quickly see directly in the game what impact these tactical arrangements have on the team.

Today's two matches between Glory and World Champions.

The first blood tactic in the first game.

The fast break tactic in the second game.

The impact is evident to all viewers.

Not to mention the "leaving get off work" joke at the 25th minute.

In the eyes of the audience, Wu Di's remarks after get off work influenced the course of the game, directly leading to Glory's great victory in a jungle team fight, and thus directly winning the game.

It can be said that, in the eyes of the audience, Wu Di surpassed 95% of esports coaches who have been in the industry for many years in just two matches.

He became the most approachable, amazing, and talented esports coach in the eyes of the public.

Post-match interview.

Wu Di brought Sun Xiaopeng, who had performed well in both games today, to the interview stage.

Although I still felt a burning hatred for Sun Xiaopeng, who seemed to be sleepwalking in the early stages of the first game, and wanted nothing more than to smash his head in.

But Wu Di kept praising Sun Xiaopeng.

What? He's incredibly intelligent, has strong execution skills, and an excellent sense of the jungle! He's the tiger of the jungle in my eyes, blah blah blah and so on.

Say it in whatever way sounds good.

In an interview, Sun Xiaopeng also spoke highly of Wu Di.

It is said that Coach Wu's first-blood strategy and fast-attack strategy helped the team open up the situation in the difficult early stage, laying a solid foundation for the final victory of the game.

When Xiaoyu mentioned Wu Di's 25-minute off-get off work joke, Sun Xiaopeng's surprise deepened.

"This was not something the coach had planned before the match, but during regular training, the coach often guided us on how to make use of the large dragon to our advantage around the 20-minute mark of the match."

"I believe the teacher must have discovered Shiying's weakness in advance with her superb ability to read the game, which is why she was able to confidently tell us to end the game early and leave work."

Sun Xiaopeng said.

"Wow, Mr. Wu, are you giving away spoilers for the competition?"

Xiaoyu handed the microphone to Wu Di and asked with a smile.

"That's right, I've already seen this part of the plot, so I'm giving you a spoiler in advance."

Wu Di also made a playful joke.

The interview ended, and everyone left the stage.

The staff began preparing the schedule for the rest of the day's matches.

Wu Di and Sun Xiaopeng left through the VIP entrance, preparing to meet up with the others waiting outside the theater and return to the club together.

Inside the VIP lane, they encountered another team of players dressed in all-black professional team uniforms embroidered with gold logos.

Wu Di and Sun Xiaopeng were both familiar with this group of people.

Wu Di had watched many of their matches through videos or live streams, and could even recite the skill ratings of each of them by heart.

Sun Xiaopeng, on the other hand, was intimidated by the other party's aura.

Every player on the opposing team is a renowned, top-tier figure in the LPL esports scene.

Just two days ago, Glory played against the opposing club's youth training team twice, and suffered a complete defeat.

They couldn't even beat their still-developing younger brothers, let alone this fully-formed team in front of them.

Officially certified by Riot Games, the strongest team in China.

Runner-up in the S3 World Championship.

Runner-up in the S4 World Championship.

Season 5 was full of ups and downs, including relegation, elimination, and restructuring.

In Season 6, they made a comeback, showing great resilience and once again made it to the World Championship, only to be eliminated in the quarterfinals.

This year, in Season 7, they rose like a rocket, attracting many top-tier players and aiming for the world championship.

Every position, not only the starting players, but even the substitutes, are all top-tier professional players. The team's star power is comparable to a galactic battleship in the esports world.

They are the Gods Squad!

Core player, ace, ADC god, skill rating 97.

Captain, assists Xiaoming, skill rating 96.

Captain, core player, mid-laner Tiger Emperor, skill rating 96.

Lion King (Jungle), skill rating 95.

Jungle Pot Teacher, skill rating 95.

Top laner Letme, skill rating 95.

Wu Di drooled as he looked at the group of professional players from the Gods, all of whom were world-class or above.

If I had a team like this, how could I not win the World Championship?

However, with so many big-name players, it will probably be difficult for the coach to control this team and bring out its full potential.

Moreover, Wu Di knew in his heart that the Gods Team was probably the strongest opponent he had in the country to win the championship.

To continue living, getting past the gods is a must.

Given the current strength of the Glory team, even with the Destiny Card, it would be very difficult to achieve this.

Time is running out for Glory.

Thoughts surged through his mind, but his body felt perfectly normal. Wu Di continued walking, leading the somewhat stiff-footed Sun Xiaopeng, towards the edge of the field.

The two sides met, exchanged polite and friendly greetings, and then passed each other by.

After Wu Di and Sun Xiaopeng had gone some distance, the members of the Gods Team began to discuss among themselves.

"I heard that Glory just defeated two more Linglong Towers from Shiying," said Emperor Rang.

“Right now, only Jiang Ye is holding the line for Shiying. It’s normal that they’ll collapse before the late game if they get overwhelmed by a reckless system like Glory. It’s not something to worry about,” Lion King said.

"Why think so much? We crushed their base in 15 minutes, setting a new league record for the fastest game to end. Glory, who can't even beat our youth team, poses no threat to us. Losing to such a team only proves that Conquerors and Shiying are even worse. What's the point of paying attention to a match between two weak teams?"

Mad God said.

Team Gods stands high at the top of the LPL league, looking down on all the other teams.

The Glory team, ranked last in the LPL league, is practically at the bottom of the table.

One is an eagle soaring high in the sky.

One is an ant crawling on the ground.

Wu Di's arrival gave Glory, which had fallen to rock bottom, wings to fly.

The eagle looks down on winged ants, and can hardly imagine that the ants, which are insignificant in its eyes, dream of flying higher and farther than the eagle.

P.S.: I'd like to share some of my thoughts with you all.

When I first conceived this book, I wanted to write a traditional LoL coach story, interspersed with some urban plots. Later on, Mr. Wu might also have various crossover projects. I had some initial ideas for that.

Unfortunately, plans can't keep up with changes. Due to some work and life reasons, I stopped writing for a week. During that time, I relied entirely on my stockpiled drafts, posting one chapter a day to keep going. This chapter is also the last one in my stockpile.

When I tried to write again a week later, all the ideas that had excited me before had been broken, and the writing had become dull.

During this process, Fuyun once wanted to give up on the book, after all, working during the day and writing until midnight at night was really hard.

Finally, with my wife's encouragement, I took a week off and came up with many interesting new ideas, which is why I started writing again.

Starting from this chapter, the pace of the invincible coach will accelerate dramatically, the LoL storyline will come to an end, and the door to a new world will open for Coach Wu.

The plot of the new world is too different from the plot of LoL, and many readers may not be able to accept it. But please try to read it first. I can only apologize here.

Ultimately, how far this book, along with the fleeting clouds, will go depends on the support and encouragement of all readers!

You are the driving force that helps me take off.

Where this cloud of mine will eventually drift depends entirely on your blowing!

The clouds are about to take flight, so remember to come and blow on them every day!

Gentlemen, let us encourage each other!
