League of Legends Invincible Coach

Chapter 4 Invincible Dream

The meeting to announce Wu Di's appointment as a coach for the Glory team ended quietly and uneventfully, with everyone dispersing to attend to their own business.

Without any hesitation, Wu Di used the orange lucky card [Invincible Dream].

It's still daytime, and the Invincible Dream effect won't trigger until night, so Wu Di isn't in a hurry.

But his coaching duties can't wait until tomorrow to begin.

The match against the Conqueror team is starting in two days. Even if the Lucky Card works and all the negative statuses are removed, the Glory team is not guaranteed to win. Wu Di has a lot to do.

Although he had never been an esports coach, the Invincible Coach System still instilled in him the basic knowledge of esports coaching.

Upon entering the training room with the five athletes, Wu Di's first action was to overturn the training guidelines and plans laid out by his predecessor.

From Wu Di's perspective, who has a keen eye for the strengths and attributes of professional players, the former coach's coaching level was simply appalling, and the training he arranged was misleading the students.

Although the Glory team suffered an unstoppable 40-game losing streak in the LPL, the individual skills of the players are still quite good.

Chen Qing, a mid-laner, is a top student from Hunan University. He won the championship in the National College League during his freshman year and reached the highest rank of No. 1 in the Chinese server.

He then chose to suspend his studies to play professional League of Legends matches. Because he was unwilling to join an LPL team as a substitute, he was picked up by the Glory team, which was a powerhouse in the LSPL at the time. They recruited him with a large sum of money and regarded him as their ace, helping the team quickly enter the LPL in half a year.

If it weren't for the Glory team's epic 40-game losing streak at the start, Chen Qing's experience would make him a perfect protagonist template for a League of Legends novel.

Chen Qing's five attributes are all ranked as follows: his single-kill attribute is the highest, with a true level of 98 points, which is no less than any top mid laner in the LPL.

Jungler Sun Xiaopeng has a solo kill rating of 90.

Top laner Zhang Chen has a solo kill rating of 94.

ADC Xie Hao, solo kill rating 95

Even Cheng Bo, the support player whom Wu Di looks down on the most, the king of scapegoating and the king of reverse KDA, whose current total score is only 78, has a solo kill attribute as high as 92.

This team, known for its aggressive early-game dominance and strong solo-kill ability, was trained and played by the former coach of the Glory team with a strategy of playing cautiously and farming in the early game, while protecting their two core damage dealers in team fights in the late game.

While the strategy of focusing on early-game farming and then engaging in team fights in the mid-to-late game has become a global trend in League of Legends leagues, you can't just look at the big picture and ignore the actual situation.

If a team with icy hands and a drastically reduced skill level were to play passively and focus on farming and team fights, it would be a miracle if the Glory team could win.

Therefore, Wu Di's training policy for the five players was to train heroes, not tactics.

Your main hero, the "OP" (overpowered) hero in the current version (meaning too strong, even affecting game balance in competitive games), is the hero you play best.

The five players remained noncommittal about Wu Di's new training approach, which, in contrast to the previous version of the game, reflected their perception of Wu Di as a complete novice in esports.

However, the new coach still had to be given face on his first day. Although Wu Di's training policy was contrary to the original, it was very much in line with their own wishes, so no one paid any attention to it.

So, in the training room, Chen Qing and the others focused on practicing their heroes in ranked matches using smurf accounts, while Wu Di sat to the side, continuing to watch the match videos of their opponents, the Conqueror team, two days later, gathering the information he needed.

Evening arrived quickly. The duplex apartment rented by the Glory team had enough rooms, so Wu Di simply moved in with his bags.

As night fell, after the last light in the apartment building went out, everyone gradually drifted off to sleep.

【An Invincible Dream】

start up!

……

Chen Qing dislikes failure.

Therefore, he loathed his current environment, including the team's new coach, Wu Di, a clueless and inexperienced rookie coach.

Therefore, in the match against the Conqueror team, Chen Qing did not follow Wu Di's instructions, and the Glory team continued their steady performance, unsurprisingly suffering their 41st and 42nd consecutive losses.

After several more defeats, the boss did not hesitate to fire Wu Di, who could not bring any change to the team.

The Glory team continued its downward spiral, and Chen Qing continued to drift through life aimlessly, playing matches without any soul.

But these aimless days will eventually come to an end.

A month later, the season ended, and the Glory team suffered a 60-game losing streak, falling back to the LSPL region.

When his contract with the team expired, a disheartened Chen Qing chose to give up his e-sports dream and retreated dejectedly back to his ivory tower.

He wasn't the protagonist of the novel, so no one was there to spur him on to make a comeback and return to his peak.

School life was peaceful and harmonious. Chen Qing's rough edges had been smoothed out by the blows of reality. He completed his studies step by step, graduated, and looked for a job as an ordinary key university student.

Then, Chen Qing gradually began to feel that he had died in reality.

Or rather, the self that was full of hope for the future and had boundless love for life is dead.

Because of geographical distance, he broke up with his girlfriend of four years in college. Through a colleague's introduction, he married a local girl who was barely acceptable.

I get up at 6 a.m. and cross most of the city to catch my 9 a.m. shift. I finish get off work at 5 p.m. and then cross most of the city again, arriving home at 8 p.m. I eat, relieve myself, and deal with the mundane details of family life, revolving around my wife and kids. After everything is done, I fall asleep exhausted, only to wake up to the same mechanical cycle repeating itself.

He didn't know the meaning of his life. It was definitely not in the monotonous, repetitive work he did every day, nor in the beautiful internet celebrities he met in bars, nor in this cramped little house that he had to pay for with thirty years of his hard work.

Chen Qing felt he was about to rot away, rotting away from the age of twenty until old age, turning into soil, becoming a name engraved on a stone tablet, and then soon no one would remember him, all traces of him in the world would disappear.

He wanted to change something; he wanted to have a reason for his existence...

"Do you want to understand the meaning of life? Do you want to truly...live?"

When Chen Qing turned on her computer at the company today, this sentence suddenly popped up on the screen.

And so, he entered a magical world, a world of infinite terror.

In the world of Infinite Terror, Chen Qing experienced countless dangers, strengthened himself, made teammates, fought against powerful enemies, and confronted fear.

Gradually, he finally understood the meaning of his life and began to regret his past actions.

After experiencing an extremely brutal war, the lucky Chen Qing obtained an SSS-level side quest and ten million reward points.

He can use this SSS-level side quest and all the reward points he has to exchange for a peerless martial art, or erase all memories of this place and return to the real world.

Ultimately, Chen Qing chose to return to reality.

When Chen Qing opened his eyes, he found himself back in his bed at the Glory esports club where he had originally been.

Everything has returned to where it all began.

Chen Qing got up, drew back the curtains, and looked at the red sun gradually rising in the distance. He clenched his fist, his heart filled with an unwavering belief.

This time, I can't afford to have any regrets!

My purpose in being exists on the huge stage of League of Legends, which is watched by hundreds of millions of people.
