Chapter 158 (Sati) Priest 1

A new secret realm has been discovered in the desert.

The disciplinary officers have been very busy lately, receiving numerous reports about a ruin in the desert. All of these reports indicate that anyone who enters the ruin emerges insane, with a few exceptions, but very few.

Scholars of Sumeru pursued wisdom, and more and more people became curious about that secret realm. Some dared to enter on their own, while others hired people to go in and search for its secrets. Knowing full well that entering the secret realm would not end well, wave after wave of people flocked there as if they were not afraid of death.

As a result, many people were negatively affected. Left with no other option, the disciplinary officials had to temporarily seal off the secret realm. Under immense pressure, the officials guarded the entrance, preventing anyone from entering.

"Lord Seno, even after we guarded the entrance to the secret realm and stopped anyone from entering, the number of people trying to get in hasn't decreased. The three people who tried to sneak in last night were caught by the guards."

The one who came in was a composed disciplinary officer who had been working for Seno for a long time and had always been reliable. He was also assisting Seno in managing this matter this time.

Korda closed the door and approached Seno, who was sitting at the table working on official business. Seno was very busy lately; dealing with that group of eager scholars was no easy task.

What happened to the three people we caught?

Sino looked up at Korda, his eyes showing the weariness of working for a long time.

"They're still locked in their rooms. What should we do with them?" Korda was also a bit troubled. These people hadn't successfully entered the secret realm, so it couldn't be considered that they had violated the rules.

“Since they’re so free, let them go to the desert to hoe the ground and plant trees,” Seno replied to Korda in a cold tone, rubbing his temples.

Korda disagreed somewhat, but then heard Seno say, "They are suspected of entering a restricted area designated by the disciplinary officer, interfering with the performance of official duties. This is already the lightest punishment they've received; if anyone causes trouble, they'll be arrested."

After speaking, Seno lowered his head and continued looking at the documents on the table, rejecting all the applications to enter the ruins. Korda understood immediately, then nodded and left.

As he passed the doorway, Korda was somewhat surprised to see the person who had entered. He wanted to greet them, but the person shook their head, put a slender, pale finger to their lips, and then pointed inside. Korda nodded, a slight smile on their face, and left.

The person entered quietly, slipping through the slightly ajar door and then gently closing it. Long, dark green ears swayed gently, the gold earrings on them rippled with a wondrous arc.

Tinari slowly approached Seno. Seno's ears twitched, and he quietly cleared a little space on the table. Then, without changing his expression, he continued to sit at the table and work. It wasn't until he was almost close that Tinari saw the corner of Seno's mouth turn up, and he realized that Seno had already discovered him.

Tinari's prank failed, so he glanced around, found a small space on the table, and sat down. Swinging his toes, Tinari raised an eyebrow and asked Seno, "Our Grand Disciplinary Officer has been incredibly busy lately!"

Tina's foot hooked Seno's leg, and she smiled slyly when Seno looked over. "I can hear scholars in the rainforest criticizing you. Tyrannical, domineering, abusing your power. All sorts of words have been thrown at you."

Seno looked at Tinari with gentle eyes, but his words were anything but gentle. "So I am the Urgent Officer of the Great Wind, urgent, very urgent."

Tinari's eyes were a little vacant, and his feet unconsciously stopped moving. Seno looked at Tinari's stopped movement with a puzzled expression. "Isn't it funny?"

Tinari snapped out of his daze, his tone tinged with anger, "Not funny!" He then tapped Seno on the head. After a sigh, Tinari picked up the papers from Seno's desk.

"Hmm? You disciplinary officers have found a lot! Looks like I came to the right place this time. The chances of two people going in and going crazy are even higher. You must be preparing to go into that ruin recently, so let's go in together!" Tinari looked at Seno.

Sino frowned. "It's too dangerous. I don't intend to let you come in with me."

Tinari looked at Seno's somewhat haggard face and reached out to stroke his cheek. "Let me go with you, trust me."

Seno looked at Tinari, their orange-red eyes meeting each other's emerald green, their gazes filled with each other's image. Seno lowered his head, resting it on the leg of the table where Tinari sat. Lately, he'd been overwhelmed with work. He'd been working non-stop for three days, and even he felt exhausted.

Tina's hand gently stroked Seno's head, lightly massaging a few acupoints to try and relax Seno.

After a while, Seno finally spoke, "I can't stop you, let's go together."

Tinari smiled gently. "Leave it to me, my Mr. Seno."

"You need to get your mental health back before that."

Tinari patiently waited for Seno to finish dealing with the rest of the matter, and then followed Seno back to his temporary residence.

Although Tinari had anticipated that the environment here might be rather poor, she still couldn't help but sigh when she saw it.

The bare, makeshift tent was sparsely furnished. There was only a lonely bed, not even a table or chair. Some toiletries were neatly placed to one side, but the bed was cobbled together. Tinari could easily imagine how Seno had managed to spend the night here before rushing off to work.

“Sino…”

Tinari glanced at the state of the tent, then turned to look at Seno. Seno looked aggrieved, head bowed as if accepting the blame. Tinari sighed, "At least it looks clean."

Of course it's clean; there's nothing there, so it can't be messy.

Tinari stepped forward and began making the bed, ensuring that at least the two of them could get a good night's sleep. Tinari was glad that he had gotten a new set of bedding beforehand, which he could now use.

While Tinari was making the bed, he heard Seno tinkering with something behind him. Once the bed was finished, Tinari discovered that Seno had assembled a table and found a chair somewhere.

Seno blushed slightly when he saw Tinari's gaze. "This will make it easier for you to write."

Tinaly had a habit of keeping records, and Seno knew it. After all, their relationship was so close that they knew each other very well.

Tinari leaned close to Seno's cheek, smiled sweetly, and kissed him. "So sweet."

After saying this, Tinari pushed Seno to bed to rest. Seno took off his outer clothes and lay down on the bed that Tinari had made. Tinari turned to leave, but Seno grabbed his wrist.
