Chapter 147 (Knowing the Secret) - The Sudden Rainstorm Continues

Kavi still looked very smug, like a happy little bird.

Al-Hysen, however, recovered from his surprise. He reached out and wiped the water droplets from Kavi's face. These were water droplets that Kavi had splashed onto when closing the umbrella. This large umbrella was great in every way, except that it was a bit difficult to handle when closing it.

Then, Elhesen's gaze shifted to the large black umbrella beside Kavi. After only a brief moment of thought, Elhesen knew which umbrella it was from their home.

After noticing Elhesen's gaze, Kavi became even more smug.

"Hehehe, you can't say I bought things randomly this time, can you? Isn't this umbrella useful!"

Kavi waved the umbrella in front of Elhesen like a precious treasure. Then he continued, "It's big enough and very stable. It's simply a perfect umbrella! No wonder I was able to pick such a big umbrella back then."

After listening to Kavi's praise of the umbrella, Elhesen raised an eyebrow. "If I remember correctly, you bought this to support that poor Fontainebleau traveler. After bringing it home, you realized it wasn't nearly as convenient and easy to use as a regular umbrella, so you put it in the storage room."

Kavi thought about it for a moment and realized that was indeed the case. But Kavi wouldn't admit it, "This umbrella is perfectly fine to use right now, isn't it?"

El-Hysen nodded. In such heavy rain, ordinary umbrellas were indeed unable to withstand the onslaught of rain.

"Undeniably, it has come in handy now."

El-Heinz's eyes crinkled with a smile; he was in a good mood because of today's unexpected surprise.

Kavi nodded in satisfaction after hearing that Elhesen had recovered, then opened the large black umbrella, stepped into the rain, and reached out to Elhesen, "Come on, let's go home."

Kavi placed the umbrella perfectly, so that the canopy met the building's rain shelter, and Elhesen walked over without getting wet at all.

"You don't seem to mind letting others know that we're living together now."

Before they had walked more than a few steps, Elheisen's words reached Kavi's ears. Actually, most people already knew they were living together. It wasn't that Elheisen was deliberately causing trouble; it was just that Kavi, drunk at the tavern, couldn't keep a secret. Before anyone could even ask a few questions, he spilled the beans.

Kavi looked somewhat embarrassed. "Hmph, so what if others find out... so what if they find out!"

Kavi learned about his relationship with Elheisen from Tinari; many people already knew about it, and it couldn't be kept a secret any longer. Furthermore, Kavi wasn't as resistant as before.

Anyway, he knew he'd never be able to leave this guy again. Kavi secretly glanced at Elheisen, sighing inwardly. He felt a sense of resignation, like he'd given up entirely.

Elheisen didn't know what Kavi was thinking, but he never interfered with Kavi's choices. Kavi's willingness to go public was a good thing for him. At least he wouldn't have to see Seno's pitying gaze and his boring jokes anymore. Well, what might happen next was probably still unavoidable.

On the way home, the streets were deserted. Almost everyone had gone home. After all, no one wanted to be soaked in such terrible weather. Those with weaker constitutions might even fall seriously ill.

Kavi is a restless person, and he can always find all sorts of topics to talk about when he's around Elhesen.

"Elhesen, the flowers on the balcony have bloomed. Did you see them yesterday?"

"I saw it."

"It's beautiful, isn't it? I even brought it home today when it rained. And it can bloom for several days..."

These flowers were given to Kavi by a friend and he has always cherished them. Elhesen sometimes waters them too; when Kavi wasn't home, it was Elhesen who took care of this plant.

Kavi's thoughts wandered quickly, and he immediately shifted his focus to other things.

"Oh right, there are still some mushrooms in the fridge. Let's have mushrooms for dinner tonight."

Al-Hysen immediately added, "No soup."

Kavi glanced at him. "Hmph, you tasteless fellow, you can't appreciate how delicious mushroom soup is at all."

Al-Hysen sighed, “But we’ve had soup on our table for a week now. Maybe we should try something different.”

Elheisen tried hard to persuade Kavi, attempting to change his mind. Kavi eventually agreed, intending to cook the mushrooms in another dish.

“Let me try a new method, hmm… how about making it into a cold dish!” Kavi’s idea came to him in an instant. He looked at Elhesen, his scarlet eyes sparkling.

Al-Hysen had no particular thoughts; he was just hoping he wouldn't get food poisoning from dinner.

Ever since Kavi developed an interest in cooking, Elhesen has been suffering. He wanted to refuse, but whenever he saw Kavi's bright eyes, the words of refusal wouldn't come out.

Elhesen felt he needed to think about how to deal with Kavi's culinary skills. Perhaps he could ask the traveler to try the food. Sufficient benefits should entice the traveler; at least after feeding the traveler until they were completely stuffed, Kavi might restrain himself a bit.

While Elhesen was thinking, Kavi thought of other happy things and began to talk about some amusing incidents that had happened recently. Elhesen listened to Kavi's words, and when Kavi laughed, he was suddenly touched.

Elhesen shifted his gaze. He saw Kavi smiling brightly, the sunshine almost completely obscuring the gloomy weather.

Seemingly noticing Elhesen's gaze, Kavi turned his head, looking puzzled: "What's wrong?"

El-Heinz didn't say anything; he just looked at his lover and suddenly felt a surge of emotion.

While Kavi was still puzzled, Elhesen first reached out and touched Kavi's cheek. As Kavi was stunned, Elhesen grabbed Kavi's hand holding the umbrella with one hand and his collar with the other, pulling him close to him.

Then, a fierce kiss struck Kavi.

Kavi did not refuse; at this moment, Elhesen was like the torrential rain, unstoppable.

Al-Hysen couldn't explain what was wrong with him at that moment. He just looked at his lover beside him, and a surge of love welled up inside him like a flood. At that moment, all he wanted was to kiss his beloved and let him feel this love as well.

On a deserted street, under a torrential downpour, a couple embraced and kissed under a black umbrella.

A sudden downpour, a sudden surge of love—no one can resist it.
