The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window into the room. As usual, the children went to school and the adults went to work, all getting up early. Only Zeng Min was still fast asleep in her warm bed, like a lazy kitten.

Seeing An Lin making breakfast with his father, Tu Guozhu asked curiously, "Dad, why didn't she make breakfast?"

Actually, the two brothers didn't eat breakfast before, but after they moved to the city, they saw that their mother ate breakfast, so they followed suit and got into the habit.

An Lin looked at him like he was an idiot, thinking to himself, "Hey, he really dares to ask that."

Tu Mingcheng said with a serious expression, "What do you mean by calling her? Show some respect, you should call her Your Majesty, or Aunt Zeng."

Then she added, "Your Aunt Zeng doesn't have to go to work, why is she getting up so early? You two brothers, be careful."

An Lin chimed in, "Don't wake my mom up. She's grumpy when she's awake, and you'll get yelled at if she does." He added, "Neither my dad nor I will let her off the hook. When my mom's in a bad mood, she's indiscriminate in her insults. So you'll have to be more tolerant of her."

The two brothers were speechless for a moment, then said in unison, "So you'll be making breakfast from now on?"

"There are four of us, plus the two of you."

"Men shouldn't go into the kitchen; the kitchen is where women belong."

An Lin smiled slightly and said, "Oh, then you shouldn't eat it. If you want to eat it, go make it yourselves." After saying that, he ignored them.

Tu Mingcheng got up very early this morning and quickly bought the vegetables and meat for the day.

Zeng Min bought a full two pounds of pork belly, as she liked the perfect balance of fat and lean meat.

I was really lucky; I also bought some braised beef.

Today's breakfast consisted of an egg for each person, corn porridge, and homemade pickled cabbage.

What was left for Zeng Min was a lavish spread: two eggs and rice porridge.

The two brothers were unhappy when they saw the two eggs and rice porridge their father had left for the woman. They muttered, "How can she eat two eggs and drink rice porridge all by herself?"

Tu Mingcheng ignored them and turned to An Lin: "Your two older brothers are going to the factory school with me. I'll take you to school first, and then transfer them to your school in a few days."

"Okay, Dad."

They finished the porridge in no time. Tu Mingcheng went to check on Zeng Min in her room and saw that she was sleeping soundly. He leaned down and kissed her, then whispered to her, "I've cooked you some eggs and rice porridge. Get up and eat it early, or it will get cold."

Zeng Min mumbled a reply, and Tu Mingcheng took the two children out.

They walked for a while, then Zeng Min got up to use the restroom, ate the breakfast she had saved, and then drifted back to sleep.

After she became pregnant, she became extremely sleepy and thought about sleeping all day long. She simply stopped worrying about anything else and let things take their course.

When I opened my eyes again and checked the time, they were almost off work.

Zeng Min had cooked the rice and was just waiting for them to come back and cook the other dishes so they could eat.

After getting off work, Tu Mingcheng led his three children into the house. Seeing that Zeng Min was not in the yard, he told the three little ones to go to the kitchen to busy themselves, while he went to the room to visit his new wife.

Upon entering the room, one sees Zeng Min lying lazily on the bed, engrossed in reading a comic book.

He tiptoed over, gently picked her up as if holding a rare treasure, and then gave her the kiss he never missed every day.

He asked softly, "Are you hungry?"

"I'm not hungry, I just miss you." Zeng Min's voice was as melodious and sweet as a nightingale's song. She wasn't usually this sentimental; now that she's pregnant, it's as if she's developed a skin hunger disorder.

Whenever she saw Tu Mingcheng, she longed to be held tightly in his arms and kissed by him. Her body became unusually sensitive, but because she was less than three months pregnant, she could only suppress this urge.

It's unbelievable, the two of them are like dry tinder burning brightly every day, their desires are never satisfied.

Zeng Min sat in his lap like a playful kitten, trying to snuggle into his arms, her hands constantly pawing at him, kissing and stroking him, making Tu Mingcheng feel hot all over.

After the two of them finally calmed down, they went out together to check.

Zeng Min asked, "What dishes are we having today?"

Tu Mingcheng replied, "I bought a lot of meat today. I'll stir-fry some sauerkraut and pork belly, and also some braised beef that I bought this morning. I'll also make a cabbage and mushroom soup, plus a vegetarian tofu dish."

Then he added, "I know you like sour food now, so I'm sure you'll be able to eat more of this pickled cabbage and pork belly."

The two entered the kitchen and saw An Lin standing on a stool like a little adult, holding a spatula and directing Guo Zhu to start the fire in a very professional manner, while Guo Qing carefully cut pork belly on the side.

Tu Mingcheng shook his head as he watched Guoqing cut the meat into pieces of varying sizes. He quickly took the cleaver from Guoqing's hand and, like a skilled chef, had Guoqing wash the cabbage while he took over the knife himself.

An Lin stood in front of the stove, holding the spatula in both hands. As he swung the spatula, he kept directing Guo Qing to bring over the oil can: "This pork belly is very fatty, it will definitely render lard."

Upon hearing this, Tu Mingcheng couldn't help but frown and say, "If you render lard and stir-fry the pickled cabbage with very little fat, wouldn't it taste bad?"

After hearing this, An Lin smiled confidently, then looked at his mother Zeng Min and said, "It's okay, my mom doesn't like things too fatty either. Rendering some lard will be just right. Right, Mom?"

Zeng Min felt very gratified as she watched her son take charge of everything. A happy smile spread across her face, and she nodded gently in agreement.

Seeing his mother's reaction, An Lin turned to Tu Mingcheng smugly and said, "See, Dad still doesn't understand Mom as well as I do."

He then focused on flipping the meat in the pan, continuing to wield the spatula in his hand.

After the pork belly had been cooked for about ten minutes, and the oil had been ladled into the oil container, Anlin finally made room for his father to cook the vegetables.

Zeng Min excitedly took out a bowl from the cupboard, picked out some pork belly, and prepared to cook it into a soup with dried mushrooms and cabbage later.

Half an hour had passed by the time all the dishes were ready.

An Lin said to Tu Guozhu with a grin, "It's only because you two just arrived at this house today that we can have such good meat and vegetables."

This means that they don't usually get such good treatment; they're only getting meat today. This little guy, despite his young age, seems to understand a lot about social dynamics.

In fact, their family will definitely eat meat whenever there is meat, and even if there is no meat, they will add more oil when cooking. They will never skimp on their food.

Tu Mingcheng suddenly asked, "Have you told your mother about your pregnancy?"

Before Zeng Min could answer, the Tu brothers exclaimed in surprise, "Aunt Zeng is pregnant?"

"Don't you know?"

The two brothers nodded together. Tu Guoqing was already thirteen years old and quite sensible. He had thought he was An Lin's biological son and felt quite confident in front of him, but now he heard that his father had another child.

Now he felt that what his mother had said before might not be true. The two brothers could only cower obediently in their tracks!

Tu Mingcheng quickly had Zeng Min sit next to him, served her rice, and then gave her another bowl of cabbage and mushroom soup.

Tu Guoqing looked at his father's cautious way of treating his stepmother and felt a little disdainful. If a married woman doesn't let him cook, do housework, or wash clothes, then what is the point of marrying a wife?

Tu Mingcheng continued, "I'll be going out on a trip in a few days, so I'll have my mother-in-law come to the county town to take care of you! Also, the Yonghong Machinery Factory next door is hiring, so you can ask your older brother and younger brother to come and take a look."

Upon hearing this, Zeng Min was as happy as a child: "Really? Then I'll go to the station and see if I know anyone going back to Chaoyang Commune. If I do, I'll ask him to pass on a message."

Tu Mingcheng quickly said, "You're pregnant, so don't worry about these things. I'll take care of it."
