Sun Yao's Eight Desolate Fire Dragons were incredibly powerful, but after a stalemate that lasted for the duration of an incense stick's burning, he still couldn't break open the seal. This demonstrates just how absurdly strong the seal was.

However, after enduring the devastation of the Eight Desolate Fire Dragon for the duration of an incense stick, the sealed gate was already riddled with cracks. If it could continue to withstand the onslaught, the gate might shatter. Sun Yao was equally delighted to see the cracks covering the sealed gate, and thus increased his output of fire energy towards the Eight Desolate Fire Dragon.

However, after cracks appeared on the gate, Sun Yao used his Eight Desolate Fire Dragon technique to burn it for the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, but he couldn't make any further progress. It seemed that there was probably something tampered with on the gate, so Sun Yao stopped what he was doing.

He stepped forward and began to feel the gate. It was an ordinary stone gate, but its sturdiness was entirely due to the runes carved on it. However, what surprised Sun Yao was that it wasn't just filled with righteous runes from Qingyun Temple; a large portion also contained runes from unorthodox sects. Sun Yao didn't recognize most of these unorthodox runes, but if he dissected them one by one, he would recognize a few of them.

After all, the most fundamental aspect of the art of talismans is incantations. Sun Yao, having created the Tongtian Talisman on his own, is already thoroughly familiar with the art of talismans. He can certainly determine whether a talisman belongs to the righteous or evil path based on the combination of incantations; this is the most basic skill for a talisman master. Both he and Uncle Nine should be able to do this.

He had initially thought that only the talismans pasted on Yue Qiluo's face were created by the founder of Qingyun Temple, combining the evil spells Yue Qiluo practiced. Now it seemed that the entire secret chamber sealing Yue Qiluo was created by combining righteous talismans with evil spells.

Thinking about it that way, it makes sense. Otherwise, how could the entire secret chamber have collapsed instantly when Wuxin dropped a drop of blood? After all, Wuxin's blood is the most effective at suppressing evil spirits. These two sealed chambers were built using evil magic, so they would naturally be suppressed by Wuxin's blood, and their collapse was inevitable.

Having understood the crux of the problem, Sun Yao finally knew how to deal with the sealed stone gate. Since it was evil magic that was holding the stone gate from collapsing, he would use lightning magic, which countered evil magic, to destroy the stone gate.

Sun Yao took about ten steps back, then his entire body crackled with lightning. This purple lightning suddenly erupted from Sun Yao's body, its target the sealed stone door before him. With a deafening explosion, the sealed stone door was pierced through by the lightning. A large hole, large enough for one person to pass through, was torn open where the Tai Chi diagram on the stone door was located. Sun Yao's control over the force was exceptional, allowing the Purple Heaven Lightning Technique to pierce the sealed stone door without destroying the entire sealed chamber.

Sun Yao looked at the sealed door he had breached, waved his hand to disperse the thick cloud of dust at the entrance, and then revealed the interior of the cave. Even after a hundred years, the sealed chamber was still brightly lit, indicating that it was equipped with ever-burning lamps. This sealed chamber was indeed built to the specifications of a tomb, but the various runes on the walls and the eight large iron chains locking the coffin were not typical of a tomb.

Sun Yao didn't rush to release Yue Qiluo. Instead, he began to examine the various runes on the walls of the tomb. These runes were created by the founder of Qingyun Temple by combining orthodox talismans with the heretical spells practiced by Yue Qiluo. The value of these runes was unimaginable.

Sun Yao was able to draw these talismans after only seeing them once. There were actually only two kinds of talismans on the wall, both of which combined righteous and evil methods.

One of them was used to suppress Yue Qiluo, which Sun Yao named the Soul-Locking Talisman. This talisman was specifically designed to restrain the soul, and even an immortal being like Yue Qiluo could not escape it. The Soul-Locking Talisman's greatest effect was to cause the soul to fall into a deep sleep, which could be considered the most powerful method of sealing.

As for the second type of talisman, it was designed to prevent Yue Qiluo from escaping if the Soul-Locking Talisman failed to work. Sun Yao called it the Evil-Breaking Talisman, and its specific function was similar to that of Wuxin's blood. However, this Evil-Breaking Talisman was ultimately created by mixing orthodox talisman techniques with evil spells, which is why it was countered by Wuxin's blood.

After understanding the two types of talismans in the sealed chamber, Sun Yao turned his attention to the red coffin. This red coffin, which sealed Yue Qiluo, was locked in the center of the connecting chamber by eight large iron chains. Numerous talismans, both soul-locking and exorcising talismans, were affixed to the chains sealing the coffin. Sun Yao stepped forward, grabbed two of the large iron chains with both hands, and with a sudden burst of strength, snapped these chains, each as thick as an arm, in two. An ordinary person would have thought he was an unparalleled strongman. However, upon closer inspection of the broken ends, each showed signs of melting. Clearly, Sun Yao had used fire magic to melt the chains.

He then replicated what he had just done, and in no time, he had melted all eight thick iron chains, each as thick as an arm. Finally, he reached the location where the large red coffin was being made, grabbed the lid, and forcefully lifted it off, sending the large red coffin lid flying. Even the two-foot-long coffin nails couldn't stop him.

After the coffin lid was blown off, Yue Qiluo, dressed in a bright red wedding gown, appeared before him. However, Yue Qiluo still had a soul-locking talisman on her head. Sun Yao didn't know if Yue Qiluo could break free of the talisman on her own, so to be on the safe side, he personally removed the talisman from her head.

However, even after Sun Yao accepted the Soul-Locking Talisman, Yue Qiluo still did not wake up. She lay quietly in the coffin, like Sleeping Beauty from a Western fairy tale. An outsider might have thought she was dead, but Sun Yao clearly understood Yue Qiluo's perverse sense of humor.

"Wake up, it's time to get up."

Sun Yao gently patted Yue Qiluo's cheek, but she remained unmoved. Sun Yao seemed to have no good solution; after all, you can't wake someone who's pretending to be asleep. However, looking at Yue Qiluo lying quietly in the coffin, Sun Yao suddenly had a terrible idea.
