In all the novels he had read about cultivation, the protagonists always absorbed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth to strengthen themselves. Although he didn't know if he could control all fires, he could ignite and control the fire of the heart, which involves concepts, and even the divine fire that tempers the soul. Using the soul as fuel, for it to burn, the soul needed to be strong enough, or the soul needed to be pure enough. And either way, it was a painstaking process, requiring constant tempering of the soul with the fire of the heart to gradually strengthen it.

However, his Fire Element Technique is much faster than the Inner Alchemy Technique of the Quanzhen Dragon Gate. Most importantly, with this technique, he can control his Heart Fire and Divine Fire; any attack on the soul is child's play for him. His Heart Fire and Divine Fire can also scorch the spirit body and attack others, much like the Samadhi True Fire of the Zhuge family. Once Sun Yao's soul becomes powerful enough, he too can condense Samadhi True Fire. The Samadhi True Fire in Sun Yao's concept differs from that of the Zhuge family; it is the true, mythical Samadhi True Fire that can burn anything, regardless of its physical form.

Perhaps you, the readers, are already thinking that the Fire Element Technique is so incredibly powerful that Sun Yao could deduce it in just one day and one night, which seems exaggerated. But in reality, the Fire Virtue Sect has passed down the Fire Virtue True Scripture for hundreds or even thousands of years, and he mastered it to perfection in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. This Fire Element Technique, on the other hand, was deduced after countless failures over a day and a night. It's easy to see how many levels higher this Fire Element Technique is than the Fire Virtue True Scripture.

After obtaining the Fire Element Technique, Sun Yao immediately considered his next steps. Now that he had the Fire Element, weren't he still missing four of the Five Elements? Although the world of *Under One Person* had the Earth-Walking Immortal ability, frankly, it wasn't a true earth-escape technique. If he could truly obtain an earth-escape technique like Tu Xingsun, then he would truly be able to go anywhere in the world. After all, the world is mostly water and earth, and even underwater, it's still earth. If he also had a Water Escape Technique, then combining water and earth escape techniques would make him unmatched in the world when it came to escaping.
