Mu Ya'an frowned slightly.

She had just seen Mu Wanwan and Gong Juncheng together.

The coat that Mu Wanwan is wearing now was also chosen by her for Gong Juncheng.

So at this moment, she was not surprised at all.

Mu Wanwan wanted to provoke Mu Ya'an, but seeing that Mu Ya'an's expression did not change at all, she felt somewhat unwilling.

Why aren't you surprised at all?

Upon hearing Mu Wanwan's words, Mu Ya'an remained calm, a faint smile playing on her lips, a hint of indifference flashing in her eyes.

Why should I be surprised?

"My position isn't something that's particularly glorious to be associated with. If you want it, and Gong Juncheng wants to give it to you, then I'll naturally give it up."

She glanced calmly at Mu Wanwan, walked past her, and spoke in a calm tone.

"But there's one thing I want you to remember clearly: Gong Juncheng will not give it to me, and he absolutely will not give it to you."

Upon hearing Mu Ya'an's words, Mu Wanwan took a deep breath, her expression turning extremely ugly. She clenched her hands tightly, looking at Mu Ya'an with a particularly unwilling expression.

However, Mu Ya'an did not linger at all and walked straight out of the restroom.

Mu Ya'an walked out of the restroom, went to the front desk of the coffee shop, and walked to the cashier to pay the bill.

As she was paying the bill, she noticed a sharp gaze fixed on her from upstairs.

She sensed the displeasure in that gaze, and felt a chill in her heart, but she still mustered her courage and looked up in the direction the person upstairs was staring at her.

She looked up and, sure enough, saw Gong Juncheng standing upstairs watching her.

Mu Ya'an took a deep breath and pretended to be very calm, not caring at all about Gong Juncheng's gaze.

Gong Juncheng gave her a cold glance before looking away.

Mu Wanwan came out of the restroom and saw Mu Ya'an looking up at the upstairs, where Gong Juncheng and she were sitting.

She then forced a smile, her gaze falling on Mu Ya'an, and said softly.

"Ya'an, would you like to come upstairs and sit for a while?"

Seeing Mu Wanwan's feigned generosity, Mu Ya'an's eyes flashed with a cold sharpness.

"No thanks."

Seeing that Mu Ya'an was showing her no respect, Mu Wanwan's expression darkened, but she quickly regained her composure, her eyes turning cold.

"Ya'an, we haven't seen each other for so long, can't you give me some face?"

Mu Ya'an glanced indifferently at Mu Wanwan, then said in a low voice.

"Wanwan, it's been so many years since we last met, and you're still the same as before, unable to see the bigger picture."

If she were to go up now, Gong Juncheng would probably be even more displeased.

Upon hearing Mu Ya'an's words, Mu Wanwan's expression turned extremely displeased.

Mu Ya'an glanced at her indifferently, then walked past her and left the coffee shop.

Mu Wanwan went upstairs with a dissatisfaction in her eyes.

Gong Juncheng sat on the second floor, his cold gaze sweeping over Mu Ya'an's departing figure.

Mu Wanwan went upstairs and saw that Gong Juncheng's expression was not very good. She then smiled awkwardly and said softly.

"I never expected to run into Ya'an here."

She pursed her red lips and said softly.

"I just invited Ya'an to come up and sit for a while, but she wasn't very willing. It seems she wasn't in a good mood seeing me with you."

Mu Wanwan spoke softly, her eyes fixed on Gong Juncheng with adoration.

Gong Juncheng glanced at her indifferently, his eyes showing little emotion, his expression cold and sharp.

Seeing Gong Juncheng like this, Mu Wanwan suddenly felt a little uneasy.

"Juncheng, didn't you tell Ya'an about my plans to develop my career in Beicheng?"

Gong Juncheng shook his head.

"There's no need to tell her."

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanwan pursed her red lips and spoke softly.

“Brother Juncheng, I have no regrets at all. I was forced to kneel in the ancestral hall by my parents because of you.”

Upon hearing this, Gong Juncheng glanced indifferently at Mu Wanwan and said coldly.

"I've arranged everything for you. You'll be receiving an advertisement during this period."

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanwan smiled and spoke softly.

"Okay. Thank you, Juncheng."

Gong Juncheng glanced at her indifferently, his expression remaining largely unchanged, his eyes cold.

"Your development in the north will be much better than developing in a small place."

Mu Wanwan nodded gently, looking at Gong Juncheng with admiration.

“When the Gong family got into trouble, I told Ya’an not to get engaged to Guo Zijun so quickly, but Ya’an just wouldn’t listen to me.”

"Now that the Mu family is in trouble, Guo Zijun is the first to flee abroad, ignoring Ya'an."

"Unlike you, who, despite your deep hatred for the Mu family, is still willing to help us."

As Mu Wanwan spoke, she looked at Gong Juncheng with an expression of adoration.

Throughout the entire process, Gong Juncheng maintained a very cold expression.

No matter what Mu Wanwan said, he maintained the same expression.

In the end, Mu Wanwan simply ran out of things to say.

"Juncheng, how about I treat you to dinner tonight?"

Gong Juncheng glanced indifferently at Mu Wanwan and said in a deep voice.

"I have something else to do tonight."

When Mu Wanwan saw that Gong Juncheng had rejected her so bluntly, her expression turned somewhat unpleasant.

However, she had only just arrived at Gong Juncheng's side and dared not say much, only nodding slightly with a gentle expression.

"Okay then. I'll ask you out another day."

Gong Juncheng listened to Mu Wanwan's words with an indifferent expression. Seeing that Mu Wanwan had already drunk so much coffee, he said coldly.

"let's go."

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanwan paused for a moment. Seeing that Gong Juncheng had already gotten up from the sofa, she didn't say anything more, nodded, and said softly.

"Ok."

As Mu Wanwan spoke, she rose from her seat, a hint of indifference in her eyes, and then said softly.

"Juncheng, I'll return your coat to you tomorrow."

Upon hearing this, Gong Juncheng glanced at the coat that Mu Wanwan had draped over her shoulders, and then spoke in a detached voice.

"No need."

Mu Wanwan wanted to say something more, but Gong Juncheng had already walked downstairs, reached the front desk to pay, and left the coffee shop.

Mu Wanwan followed behind Gong Juncheng the whole way.

After leaving the coffee shop, Gong Juncheng instructed his assistant to take her home, and then left alone.

Mu Wanwan looked at Gong Juncheng, her expression changing slightly, and she looked somewhat unwilling.

However, throughout the entire process, Gong Juncheng acted as if she didn't exist and simply left.

Mu Wanwan took a deep breath, her gaze fixed on Gong Juncheng's departing figure, her expression extremely unpleasant.

She had only just arrived in Beicheng and had only just come to Gong Juncheng's side; she couldn't be too willful in anything.

After Gong Juncheng left, she glanced at her respectful assistant standing beside her, forced a faint smile, and said softly.

"Brother Juncheng, have you always been so cold? Were you like this even with Ya'an?"
