Chapter 140

The machines in the factory are all brand new, but show no signs of use.

She did a quick look around and found a tunnel outside the fifth-floor window leading to the building across the street, but she didn't see any entrance or exit.

This place is so secluded, with factories outside. No wonder there was such a commotion at Hisamori's place, but this place was completely unaffected.

Gu Qingyan pressed her watch button and quickly deciphered the glass.

"Who is it? How did you get in?" Suddenly a bodyguard walked over.

"Ah, me!"

Gu Qingyan watched him walk in, chuckled softly, and her amber pupils deepened. "Don't you remember me? By the way, open this door."

Gu Qingyan's soft, distant voice reached the man's ears.

"Open it." Gu Qingyan restored the watch to normal.

The man pressed his fingerprint on the window, pushed the glass open, and the tunnel appeared before him.

To prevent any potential traps, Gu Qingyan dragged him into the tunnel.

The tunnel led directly to the eighth floor across the street. After arriving, the man led Gu Qingyan to the basement.

Gu Qingyan walked straight in; inside was a large cold storage warehouse.

The area is large, with many boxes piled up, some empty, some nailed and sealed, and marked with dates.

Gu Qingyan took out a Swiss Army knife from her waist and handed it to the man to open.

There were eight bottles of energy potions inside, labeled: For use by ancient martial artists.

She didn't look closely, took it and put it in her storage ring. Then she had the man search everywhere and found a box containing worldly items, but three bottles were missing.

There were some paper reports on the side, which Gu Qingyan casually flipped through.

It was all handwritten, with densely packed data at the back, each character written differently, clearly indicating that more than one person had recorded it.

The label lists different serial numbers for energy supplements, their different reactions, different dosages, and the symptoms they might cause, detailing everything.

The more you flip through it, the more creepy it becomes.

There were several large boxes, but Gu Qingyan only read three books. Her eyes grew colder; she hadn't felt this way in a long time.

Just as I was about to look down, I heard footsteps outside the door.

She immediately threw the book into her storage ring, then knocked the person unconscious and hid behind a wooden box.

Before the people arrive, the sound arrives first.

"Sir, someone has collapsed here. Someone has been here."

It was Shangguan Di's voice.

Gu Qingyan was speechless.

Shangguan Di woke the man up and asked him who had knocked him unconscious. The man said he didn't know, but there were very light footsteps approaching Gu Qingyan.

As the person approached, Gu Qingyan kicked them away.

Shangguan Ren reacted quickly and dodged her kick.

Gu Qingyan gave him no chance to react. She pressed her advantage and launched another spinning kick. Beneath her black suit, her long, straight legs delivered a powerful side kick with immeasurable destructive force.

Shangguan Ren was clearly outmatched and could only dodge, unable to launch an attack.

Shangguan Du frowned and looked over here. He didn't expect Shangguan Ren to be at a disadvantage. Shangguan Di also immediately joined in.

The two attacked Gu Qingyan from both sides for two minutes.

Finally, Shangguan Ren was kicked away by Gu Qingyan, crashing into a wooden box with a "bang!!" The kick wasn't forceful, so there was no real damage, but Shangguan Ren was already lying on the ground, unable to get up.

Shangguan Di's thigh was swept by Gu Qingyan's foot, and he immediately knelt on the ground, unable to get up with his hands.

They took down a few more, and then only Shangguandu remained.

Gu Qingyan knew that Shangguan Du was not so easy to deal with, but she did not expect the two to start sparring. Gu Qingyan cursed in her heart.

Gu Qingyan still restrained her strength, but soon after, Shangguan Du's small knife pressed against Gu Qingyan's waist.

He didn't give her a chance and cornered her against the wall.

The speed was too fast, and to avoid getting hurt, she used her hand to block his knife.

Then she tried to grab the knife to fight back, and the knife slashed her palm, and her blood was dripping down the blade.

"Don't struggle."

Gu Qingyan frowned. This was the first time she had seen Shangguan Du like this; he was so intimidating, it was as if he were pronouncing her death sentence.

Shangguan Du stood before her, his once captivating peach blossom eyes now tinged with a coldness, revealing a ruthless and bloodthirsty glint in them. "That opportunist, don't force me to take action."

Gu Qingyan was internally debating, but remained silent.

Shangguan Du raised her eyebrows slightly, and the knife placed against her abdomen drew closer.

If Gu Qingyan had a weaker mentality, her legs would have gone weak by now. Gu Qingyan didn't even blink; her eyes, hidden beneath the brim of her hat, were icy cold.

With the knife pressed against her abdomen, Shangguan Du moved closer and whispered, "If I push you forward gently, your stomach will be ripped open, and blood will be everywhere."

He had barely finished speaking when his gaze swept to the neck of the woman in front of him. Her neck was slender and fair, so beautiful, and also very familiar to him.

His lips paused for a moment as he looked down at her neck and shoulder. Because of her injured left hand, her collar was askew, making a small red mole easily visible.

The fragrance emanating from her made him subconsciously withdraw his sword from Guandu by an inch.

Gu Qingyan realized this, broke free from his other hand, grabbed the hand holding the knife, snatched the knife away, and kicked him in the process.

He kicked Shangguan Du in the stomach, causing him to stumble back two steps.

Gu Qingyan immediately grabbed her knife and ran away.

"Master."

Shangguan Ren and Shangguan Di immediately opened the wooden gun.

Shangguan Du watched the bullet fly out, but it was too late to stop it. Gu Qingyan dodged and used her ancient martial arts energy to block the bullet.

"Ta-da!!"

"Don't open the cannon, let her go."

The smile that curled at the corner of his mouth carried a hint of danger.

Gu Qingyan ran outside, and none of the people from Shangguandu chased after her.

"Master, I've had the exits blocked." Shangguan Di and Shangguan Ren had recovered.

"Let her leave."

Shangguan Di and Shangguan Ren exchanged glances, neither seeing an answer in the other's eyes, but neither asked.

Shangguan Du glanced at the footprint on his abdomen, pursed his lips, and his eyes gleamed.

That kick was really powerful; if it had gone down a little further...

At 5:40, everyone has been arrested, half of the goods have been taken away, the entire factory is sealed off, and guards are stationed there.

"Sir, the energy potions specifically for ancient martial arts are missing, and two bottles from the secular world are also gone," Shangguan Di reported after taking inventory. "It's likely that person took them. Should we investigate?"

"Don't worry about it, you guys take care of things here, I'm leaving now." With that, he drove away.

"Yes."

Shangguan Di watched the car drive away, then turned to see Shangguan Ren looking utterly dejected. "What's wrong? Why the long face?"

Upon hearing his question, Shangguan Ren became even more frustrated. The man, who usually exuded a murderous aura, now spoke like a young man, "What do you know? I've only been here for two or three months, and I've already been beaten twice. I couldn't even fight back both times. How am I supposed to put my face here? How are my men supposed to trust me then?"

Shangguan Di raised his hand and patted his shoulder, "Don't worry, if you can't beat him, no one else can either. You're still the most powerful one by my side. That guy just now was too powerful."

"But she didn't use her full strength and held back a trick up her sleeve," Shangguan Ren said dejectedly.

Shangguan Di squeezed his shoulder, but didn't reply. However, his expression clearly said, "Don't I have any self-respect? You knew it, so why did you say it?"

A second later, Shangguan Di turned to look at him and asked, "Who is more powerful, this one or the last one?"

“It’s definitely the one from last time,” Shangguan Ren said. “I couldn’t even put up a fight with him last time. His murderous aura was like a devil from hell demanding repayment. His ruthlessness almost killed me. Today’s guy is at most a better fighter than us.”

Shangguan Di raised his eyes and looked at his busy subordinates.
