While she was changing, she heard the father and son arguing outside.

"Don't rush me! They already said they'd wait a bit, why are you still rushing me!"

"I didn't rush you!"

"You haven't urged me yet, so why are you keeping pushing me?"

"I didn't push you!"

Zhou Chuan ignored the two idiots outside. She changed her clothes, then wrapped all the dirty clothes she had gotten yesterday together and put them in a corner. After finishing all that, she opened the window to let in some fresh air, and finally checked that the sheets were clean. Once everything was in order, she opened the door.

As soon as the door opened, sure enough, both of them almost fell over.

Zhou Chuan crossed his arms and looked at them: "What's all the commotion so early in the morning?"

As soon as Xiao Ran saw that his aunt was standing straight and no longer hunched over, he immediately rushed into Zhou Chuan's arms: "Auntie, you're all better now!"

Zhou Chuan was almost tackled by him. Before she could say anything, Commander Xiao grabbed his son and pulled him back: "Your aunt is just getting better, and you're already throwing yourself at her?"

After scolding the child, he couldn't help but look Zhou Chuan up and down. Apart from his still pale face, Zhou Chuan's overall mental state was much better. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief: "I'm hungry. I've already cooked porridge. He can eat it after washing up."

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, Zhou Chuan sighed contentedly, "Wow, your cooking skills are pretty good. It's cooked perfectly, and quite soft." The most thoughtful touch was that they even cooked her an egg.

After seeing that she had finished eating, Commander Xiao took the initiative to clear the dishes and chopsticks: "Get ready, we'll go out in a bit."

Zhou Chuan looked at him in surprise: "What are you doing? Are you really going to the county town today?" She thought he was just teasing the child yesterday, but she didn't expect him to actually do it.

Commander Xiao glanced disdainfully at his simple-minded son beside him: "If I don't take him, he made fun of me yesterday. How can I possibly bring him into the city today? Hurry up and pack up. I'll wash the dishes and then we'll leave."

Xiao Ran didn't say anything. He knew his father had come to the city on business, so he didn't pester him. However, he was still very angry about what his father had said to him earlier.

Zhou Chuan had no idea what was going on today. Commander Xiao had actually taken the initiative to wash the dishes, and she, a mere nanny, was sitting at the dining table like a big shot. She blinked, not understanding, and didn't think about it anymore. Suddenly, she realized that someone was missing from the house. She looked towards the living room again, but still no one was there.

"Where's Xiaomianmian? Didn't you pick her up yesterday?"

Xiao Ran pointed to the kitchen: "It's his fault for not picking up his sister, it has nothing to do with me."

Zhou Chuan glared at him irritably, then turned to the kitchen: "Where's your daughter?"

Commander Xiao was still washing the dishes: "I haven't had time yet. We'll pick her up when we get back from the city."

He realized something was wrong, so he turned around and told his son to go get her. "Xiao Ran, go and bring your sister back. You're all grown up now. Even if your aunt and I aren't here, you should be able to take care of her."

Xiao Ran suddenly stood up: "I'm going to school!" With that, she slung her backpack over her shoulder and ran off.

Zhou Chuan couldn't help but burst into laughter: "You deserve it. You even forgot what day of the week it is, and you still wanted to assign him work."

He just went to the mountains for a holiday yesterday, and today he's already forgotten that he has to go to class. Oh dear, what's wrong with his brain!

Commander Xiao awkwardly rubbed his nose: "You brat, can't you talk things out properly!" Seeing Zhou Chuan still laughing, he said, "Alright, take it easy. We just did that yesterday, so we need to be careful."

Zhou Chuan pursed his lips: "Go wash your dishes!" How come this person has suddenly become a bit nagging overnight? I hope I'm just imagining things.

"I'm doing this for your own good!" he muttered softly, then obediently turned around and went to wash the dishes.

Zhou Chuan leaned back in his chair, enjoying the rare moment of not having to wash the dishes after eating.

"Hey, wait a minute, the market isn't this way. Where are you taking me?" Zhou Chuan watched as he drove the car into an unfamiliar place.

After washing the dishes, Xiao Da Tuanzi insisted on dragging Zhou Chuan into the city, and she couldn't refuse.

"We're almost there!" Commander Xiao stepped on the gas and sped up.

Zhou Chuan looked at the sign for XX County People's Hospital and felt very strange. Could it be that this person brought her to see a doctor? But she wasn't sick.

Seeing Zhou Chuan staring blankly at the sign at the entrance, Commander Xiao pulled him inside: "Come on, I've already had someone make arrangements beforehand."

"I'm not even clean yet, how can I go to the gynecologist?" Zhou Chuan was frantic. This person didn't even tell her beforehand and just dragged her to the hospital.

Commander Xiao was a little confused, but he still firmly dragged her to see a doctor: "We're already here, what if the doctor is capable?"

Zhou Chuan was dragged into the gynecology department and asked a bunch of questions by an old doctor. Then he had his pulse checked. It was all the usual medical examination, with no proper medical instruments. It all depended on the old doctor's keen eyes. If he could figure it out, he could; if he couldn't, he was out of luck.

Zhou Chuan was probably lucky. The old doctor talked about a lot of traditional Chinese medicine theories, which she didn't understand, but she understood the last sentence. He said it was due to insufficient qi and blood and stagnation of cold. He prescribed a bunch of medicines and brought them back. Of course, the cost of the medicines was paid by Commander Xiao. It wasn't that she wanted to take advantage of him; she was just in a hurry when she left and didn't have time to go upstairs to get the money.

The medicine bag was also carried by Commander Xiao. She tried to take it from him several times, but he wouldn't let her. Zhou Chuan walked behind him, looking very embarrassed.

"I'll pay you back as soon as I get back!"

Commander Xiao turned around and looked at her with a puzzled expression: "Why do you want to pay it back? Didn't we agree to take care of your headaches and fevers?"

"That's not how it works. This illness isn't a headache or fever. Just tell me how much you spent, and I'll pay you back when I get back."

"No need to pay it back, we never said it didn't count."

"Don't act all high and mighty. There will be plenty of expenses in the future. I'll pay you back later!"

"I don't want to! You promised to take care of your headache and fever! Don't make me look like a treacherous person!"

"How can you be so ungrateful? I don't want you to spend money, and you're still unhappy. Back then, you tried to bargain with me for a few dollars less for your living expenses. What, did you make a fortune somewhere I don't know about?"

"What windfall? You have no idea how much money I have. The majority of it is with you. I only have a little bit of money at most!"

That's why I'm giving you money!

"It was all my fault yesterday. I thought you were better, so I left you halfway."

"I don't blame you. There are too many people down the mountain. If someone sees us, it will be hard to explain."

Commander Xiao walked to the car, opened the door, and let Zhou Chuan get in first before getting into the driver's seat himself: "Don't overthink it!" He then started the engine without giving Zhou Chuan a chance to speak.

The car hummed, and Zhou Chuan lost the will to speak. She looked at the scenery outside the car and thought to herself that he was a pretty good employer.
