Traveling through the game world

Chapter 6 Zyra, the Flame Princess

"Xiao Yang, you're here!" Seeing Lian Yang approach, Agamemnon, still engaged in battle, greeted him casually, as if the person before him wasn't a ferocious monster, but merely a toy.

Lian Yang nodded and chuckled, "Master, you're truly awe-inspiring! If it were me, I'd be fighting tooth and nail to defeat such a powerful monster! Unlike you, who seems to be doing it so effortlessly." Lian Yang wasn't just flattering him; this ferocious monster before them was something even Baron, currently stronger than him, couldn't handle without a desperate fight. But in Agamemnon's hands... if Agamemnon hadn't seemed to be researching something, this monster definitely wouldn't have survived a single sword strike.

Agamemnon, his face stern, seemed somewhat displeased: "Why aim so high!" He seemed to notice Baron nodding beside Lian Yang: "Ghost Hand? Are you Xiao Yang's partner? What's your name?" Though his words were calm, the moment Agamemnon saw Ghost Hand, he immediately thought of Luxi. And how could Agamemnon remain calm when he thought of Luxi?

Baron, however, stared intently at Agamemnon: "Yes, I am Lian Yang's friend. Or rather, Lian Yang is my friend. A friend who doesn't look down on my Ghost Hand. My name is Baron. Agamemnon, you are very strong, but I will definitely surpass you!" For Baron, the Four Sword Saints were heroes renowned throughout the continent, and idols, and respect for idols meant surpassing them.

"Hahaha!" Agamemnon, who rarely laughed, burst into wild laughter: "Young man, your path is still long, but I look forward to the day when we clash with swords. Just look at your ghost hand!"

It must be said that the reason Agamemnon treated Baron differently was simply because he was a Ghost Swordsman and a Berserker, and Luxi was also a Berserker.

"Alright, I've finally sealed this damned monster away." With that, Agamemnon ended the battle. The berserk monster he had fought was now frozen into a block of ice by Agamemnon's sword energy.

Seeing this, Baron thought to himself, "Such powerful sword energy! Is this the strength of the Sword Saint who is famous throughout the continent? One day I will be this powerful!"

"A seal?" Baron asked, puzzled.

Agamemnon nodded, pointing to the frozen monster before him and explaining, "These elves were originally very kind, but they were affected by the Black Nightmare and fell into a deep sleep. Upon awakening, they became incredibly ferocious creatures. Because the number involved is so vast, I don't want to kill them. I can only seal them while they are asleep. But we must find a way to break the Black Nightmare."

Back in Silver Village, Tana was visibly excited to see Agamzo: "It really is you, Agamzo! You're all safe and sound, that's wonderful!"

Agamemnon understood Tana's anxiety and said in a deep voice, "I've sealed away some of the most powerful and ferocious monsters. We're heading to Despair's Ice Cliff now. If we don't seal these monsters away there, the problem can't be completely solved. I'm going to see if there's a way to completely resolve the Black Nightmare at Despair's Ice Cliff."

Lian Yang, who had just seen his master, was somewhat reluctant to part with him: "Master, are you leaving already?"

He patted Lian Yang on the shoulder: "Over the past year, your foundation has become incredibly solid. I have already passed on all the skills to you. A fledgling eagle must always soar to the sky. I hope that in the future, I will hear you called Lian Yang, the Sword Saint, not Lian Yang, the apprentice of Agamemnon!"

His nose tingled slightly, but Lian Yang nodded firmly: "I understand, Master!"

That's what education at Agamzu is all about: build a solid foundation, and let yourself walk your own path. You might become famous throughout the mainland, or you might live a mediocre life, but it's all your own choice.

As Agamzo got up to leave, he suddenly remembered something and said to Baron, "Baron, trust your left hand, trust your reason!"

Watching Agamemnon's departing figure, Tana said, "The forest is much calmer than before. However, even though Agamemnon has sealed away the most dangerous monsters, there are still many ferocious monsters! The forest is still very dangerous." She paused, then added with some sorrow, "But the villagers depend on this forest for their livelihood. Not going there for a short time isn't a big problem, but in the long run, they definitely won't be able to survive. I don't know how much longer we can hold on!"

Lian Yang understood Tana's meaning, tightened his grip on the sword hilt, and said, "Tana, Master has left to find a way to completely solve the problem. However, Master left me behind, and Baron is here too. Let's clean up the nearby forest and make sure the residents can survive!"

Baron didn't speak, but he nodded firmly.

Tana didn't stand on ceremony. Although their relationship wasn't that close yet, this concerned the livelihood of the entire village, and it wasn't the time for formalities. Tana excitedly asked, "Is it alright? There are still many people injured during the Cataclysmic Era who need my care. It's so kind of you two to help!"

Deep in the Fiery Crystal Forest

"Baron," Lian Yang suddenly called out.

"Huh? What is it?" Baron, who was cautiously checking the enemies around him, didn't know what Lian Yang was going to ask.

Shaking off his sweat-soaked shirt, Lian Yang said gravely, "Can you feel how hot the air is getting?"

Baron, shirtless, wiped the sweat from his brow and nodded, saying, "Now that you mention it, it's true. Under normal circumstances, even in the crater, we shouldn't be this hot."

Lian Yang cautiously surveyed his surroundings: "I suspect we've stumbled upon some formidable monster!" Something unusual must be amiss. Especially since Lian Yang knew perfectly well that the most terrifying creature in this Blazing Crystal Forest wasn't the raging monsters sealed away by Agamemnon, but rather the fire spirit princess, Zyra.

Suddenly, Baron, who was walking, looked anxious: "Lianyang, look! That forest is on fire! We have to go!"

The situation was urgent, and without further ado, Lian Yang slung his greatsword over his shoulder and rushed toward the burning forest! He knew that Zyra must have started the fire.

"Hahahaha! So this is what flames are like! The flames on my fingertips are so beautiful!" A clear and melodious laugh could be heard from afar, but the words that came from that beautiful voice sent chills down the spines of Lian Yang and Baron.

One can imagine how many people would be displaced if the Silver Village and the nearby Fiery Crystal Forest, on which they depend for survival, were destroyed by fire! And how many human tragedies would ensue.

Enraged, Baron shouted, "You bastard, stop! You'll destroy the whole forest!" His already rapid pace suddenly accelerated as he spoke.

"Hehehe~" A silvery laugh was followed by even more surprising words: "That would be so much fun! Do you two want to play with me?" To actually use the Burning Forest for entertainment is truly astonishing.

At this moment, Lian Yang and Ba Long finally saw the face of the arsonist.

She was about eleven or twelve years old, with long, fiery red hair, pointed ears, and a golden dress. She was clearly an adorable little girl with a delicate, beautiful face. Yet, she spoke terrifying words and did extremely horrifying things.

Lian Yang knew that Princess Zyra of Flame had been corrupted by the Black Nightmare, but Baron didn't. He only knew that if the little girl in front of him was allowed to continue her reckless behavior, the entire Blazing Crystal Forest would be destroyed.

Seeing that Baron had actually drawn his sword, the little girl was furious: "You wretched guy, since you won't play with me, I'll burn you to death!" With a wave of her hand, a fireball the size of a washbasin fell from the sky.

It was too urgent. The furious Baron hadn't expected that the little girl whose entire hand could burn with flames could summon such a terrifying fireball.

"Bang, crack!"

Two loud explosions rang out above Baron's head. Lian Yang, who had been focused intently on the Flame Princess Zyra, rushed forward decisively when he saw her raise her hand.

Right behind Baron, he leaped upwards with a sudden burst. Two swift slashes cleaved the massive fireball in two. It was a mid-air combo.

"Hey!" With a graceful landing, Lian Yang said to Baron, "Focus on the battle!"

Baron touched his nose and became serious: "You seem to know something about this little girl."

Lian Yang nodded: "If I'm not mistaken, he is the fire spirit princess Zyra, the ruler of this forest of spirits, and judging from his demeanor, he is clearly also affected by the Black Nightmare."

Regardless of what Lian Yang and Baron said, Zyra felt like she was going crazy. These two despicable humans not only refused to play with her, but they also wouldn't let her play. They were too awful and had to be killed.

"Die!" With a raised hand, a fireball fiercely attacked!

In the blink of an eye, the two who were prepared had already rolled away to dodge Zyra's fireball.

"Go!" Taking advantage of the pause when Zyra fired the fireball, Lian Yang suddenly closed in and was about to slash at her with his sword.

"Hmph! You underestimate me!" All that could be seen was Jera raising her hand, her small fist, burning with flames, fiercely slamming back at Lian Yang.

Fast! Too fast. Zyra truly lives up to her title as the ruler of the Blazing Crystal Forest; her strength is even considerably greater than Baron's.

"Ah!" A sudden, unexpected fiery punch sent Lian Yang flying, crashing into a nearby tree trunk.

"Ghost Slayer!".

Taking advantage of the moment when Lian Yang was attacked, Baron's attack arrived in an instant.

The dark blue blade, crackling with blue lightning, was none other than Ghost Slash, one of the Ghost Swordsman's initial skills. In this world, only Ghost Swordsmen with Ghost Hands could unleash Ghost Slash; Lian Yang, as a swordsman, could not.

"Hmph, don't even think about ambushing me!" Having anticipated this, Zyra dodged Baron's long-charged Demon Slash with a swift movement. She then unleashed a Fireball.

"ah!".

The scorching fireball slammed into his body, causing Baron to scream in agony. He dodged the first one, but couldn't dodge the second. It's like the saying, "You can dodge the first, but you can't dodge the fifteenth."

"Hahaha, this is what happens when you don't play with me!" Seeing the miserable cries of Baron and Lian Yang, Zyra laughed even more wildly. Her innocent face, petite figure, and arrogant smile made her seem incredibly eerie.

"A character I could easily defeat in the game, I never imagined she'd be so powerful in real life!" Lian Yang, now recovered, muttered to himself as he looked at the formidable Zyra. He had seriously underestimated Zyra's strength.

“What did you say?” Baron asked.

"It's nothing, this little girl is too strong, I'll take the hits while you attack!" Lian Yang didn't want Baron to know that he was a transmigrator.

Baron, gripping his greatsword, nodded. He was too lazy to ask. Friends always have some secrets. At least Baron was certain that Lian Yang wasn't a bad person. Nothing else mattered.

"Triple Slash!" Without further ado, to give Zyra no time to react, Lian Yang decisively used Triple Slash to reposition himself and stood in front of Zyra.

Seeing Lian Yang rushing towards her, Jiela shouted, "Fireball!"

Lian Yang, who was prepared, held his greatsword in front of him and used a basic swordsman skill: parry!

Now! Baron, who had been waiting for his chance, suddenly leaped up and slashed down hard with the back of his sword.

It's a mountain-shattering attack!

"ah!".

Caught off guard, Zyra let out a pained scream. Even though it was an attack from the spine of the sword, it still hurt, didn't it?

Seeing Zyra knocked down, Baron didn't hesitate to unleash his fury!

A crimson blood surged from the earth, erupting fiercely towards Zyra! It didn't even give Zyra a moment to react.

"Hey, wake up!" Seeing Zyra overwhelmed and unable to defend herself, Lian Yang had somehow appeared behind her. He slammed his sword into the back of Zyra's head. Agamemnon had already told him that those attacked by the Black Nightmare couldn't dispel the Black Nightmare within their brains by striking their heads.

"Ugh! My head hurts so much! What's going on? Why is everything on fire?!" Zyra finally snapped back to reality. The excruciating pain in her head and the raging flames all around her left her completely bewildered…
