Traveling through the game world

Chapter 19 The Death of the Elf King

"Fireball!" As soon as they entered the Netherworld Prison, the familiar fireball, several times larger than a basketball, came rushing towards Lian Yang and his companions and their pet.

"Bang!" The fireball that came rushing in crashed into the prison wall, blasting a large crater in the wall, but it did not hurt anyone.

"Phew!" Lian Yang patted his chest and said, "Jera, your welcoming ceremony is still as enthusiastic as ever. If the prisoners in this Netherworld Prison had your skills back then, they probably would have escaped long ago!"

In this online game world, people get tired and exhausted, but don't be afraid. We also possess various potions with incredible, overpowered abilities. Tired and sleepy? Drink one! Come on! Let's have another five hundred rounds of epic battles! No, five hundred rounds is enough; let's skip the epic battles.

Alice rolled her eyes. "You're so irresponsible, Zyra, huh? How about taking a shot from a cannon!"

"Boom!" The muffled sound of the cannon was deafening in the narrow prison, and Zyra, who was only thinking about killing Lian Yang and the others, didn't even know how to dodge.

Zyra, having taken a hit from a cannonball, slammed hard against the wall, but she didn't care. Spitting out blood, she brandished her staff and shouted, "Fireball!"

A fireball, even larger than the previous one, streaked towards Alice like a meteor. The intense fluctuations of elven magic emanating from it silently proclaimed the unparalleled power of this fiery basketball, making it utterly formidable and not to be underestimated.

"My sister doesn't like playing with balls!" Alice, unperturbed, saw the fireball coming at her and easily dodged it with a sliding tackle.

"Ding ding ding"... As the battle with Zyra intensified, the temperature in the normally scorching Nether Prison suddenly dropped.

The silent ice crystal arrows were so inconspicuous in the dimly lit Netherworld Prison, quietly preparing to deliver a fatal blow to the careless enemy.

"Hey ha!" Baron, who was dealing with ordinary elves, casually smashed the ice arrow that had been silently attacking him. He said helplessly, "It really has no soul. But is it really okay for that bastard who controls Jerus to make such an old elf with a white beard do such a shameful thing as sneak attacks?"

Sure enough, illuminated by Zyra's flames, a figure wearing an ice crystal crown and with a deep blue body appeared in everyone's sight around the corner in the distance.

"Triple Slash!" Upon seeing his old rival Jerus, Baron disregarded the ordinary elves around him, brandished his greatsword, and moved with the agility of a dragon, unleashing the Triple Slash in just a few strides to arrive in front of Jerus.

"Mountain-Shattering Strike!" Baron leaped high into the air, raising his massive twin swords overhead and slashing fiercely at the Ice Elf King Jerus beneath him. The power of that single strike was enough to be described as having the force to shatter a mountain.

However, even with only his fighting instincts remaining, the Elf King's fighting instincts were still terrifying. Jerus held his swords in both hands, and the ice crystal greatsword in his hands swung upwards fiercely and swiftly.

"Clang!" A loud metallic clang rang out as Jerus calmly parried Baron's fierce sword strike. It seems Jerus can indeed be considered a master swordsman.

"Good!" Baron's eyes lit up, a feeling of meeting his match welling up within him. He gripped the sword in his hand and, with a determined look in his eyes, slashed forward fiercely.

Faced with Baron's attack, the soulless Jerus instinctively swung his sword to counterattack. He parried the attack, then reversed the blade and unleashed a lightning-fast counterattack with the move of a gazelle leaping up its horns.

A passionate clash of swords ensued. Jerus fiercely unleashed all the sword techniques he remembered, while Baron, facing an equally skilled swordsman, retaliated only with the sword in his hand. He wanted to give Jerus a final glory before his death, even though he could no longer receive it.

The fierce battle raged on, Alice and Zyra's flames clashed, and Baron and Jerus clashed in swordsmanship. Lian Yang casually dispatched an elf and chuckled, "Judging by the time, it'll be over soon. This bland battle is as tasteless as drinking plain water!"

"Crackling" and "sizzling" sounds seemed to echo Lian Yang's boredom as a thick, charged laser beam arrived in an instant.

"Phew!" Looking at the bottomless black hole on the ground, Lian Yang exaggeratedly patted his chest again: "That scared me to death! Does the Elf King love to ambush? Triple Slash!"

Running is too slow, both in the game and in this incredibly realistic Arad continent. What should have been a powerful skill, the Triple Slash, has become a convenient escape technique. However, it's true that using the power of the sword in your hand while swinging and sheathing it is indeed faster than simply running.

"Inner Ghost Sword Technique!" As soon as he got close, Lian Yang's Inner Ghost Sword Technique danced wildly like a madman, and his twin swords struck fiercely with lightning speed.

"Ding ding dang dang" The Illusionary Elf is no swordsman; wielding a staff, he is a pure magician, and of course, he has a sturdy crystal shield!

Just as Lian Yang's sword was about to strike the Illusionary Spirit, the Illusionary Spirit suddenly transformed into a Shiny Spirit—yes, a golden, shimmering Shiny Spirit.

"Are you made of crystal? You're made of diamond!" Lian Yang had sharp eyes. His fierce Ghost Sword Technique struck the crystal that the illusionary sprite had turned into, making a clanging sound, but the shiny sprite didn't lose a single drop of blood.

"Crack!" As soon as Lian Yang's attack ended, the golden illusionary spirit returned to its original form and launched another attack with a laser beam from its staff.

He parried with his sword, followed by a Flowing Heart Thrust! Lian Yang's signature storm-like attacks came one after another. The lightning-fast sword finally pierced the Illusionary Spirit's soft flesh just as it was about to transform back into a Shiny Spirit.

But that was all. Caught between the crystal shells, Lian Yang couldn't thrust the greatsword forward even an inch further. "Hah!" With a forceful pull, he barely managed to free the greatsword from the illusionary elf's body.

Watching Alice and Zyra's battle, both were weaving between each other's attacks, one throwing a fireball and the other a cannonball, showing just how intense the battle was.

Looking again at the battle between Baron and Jerus, the swords of these two sword masters seemed to have a life of their own, their swordsmanship as swift as a gazelle's horns, their attacks seemingly divinely aided. The art of killing can also be pleasing to the eye.

Looking back again, he transformed back into the Illusionary Spirit. The spirit flashed with light, and a thick laser beam hurtled towards him. Lian Yang grumbled, "Why are they both evenly matched, but I have to run into a scoundrel like you! I want a thrilling battle too!" Dodging the Illusionary Spirit's attack, Lian Yang only briefly touched his sword before stopping.

Why, you ask? Seeing Lian Yang swing his sword, the Illusionary Spirit instantly transformed back into a Shiny Spirit. It didn't give Lian Yang a single chance. After firing its attack, it promptly retreated back into its shell. Illusionary Spirit, are you related to a turtle by blood?

Putting aside how frustrating Lian Yang's battle was, the little creature, now at level 7 and even taller, was quite envious watching Lian Yang and the others fight. True joy comes from worthy opponents; what fun is there in slaughtering the young? Although it was the youngest among these soulless elves, its strength was undeniable.

"Drink!" A loud shout came from afar, it was the Giant Hammer Helmet Spirit, the second spirit of the corrupted crystal mine.

Lian Yang, who was playing whack-a-mole with the illusionary spirits, saw the giant hammer helmet spirit and complained again: "That cowardly Sam, I know you can hear me, are you looking for your second brother because you can't find your eldest brother? You can't handle Dalex, so you brought the whole guy here? Just how afraid are you of your grandpa Lian Yang?!"

Sam, currently in the lower levels of the Netherworld Prison, thought: "Hmph! Damn human bastards, no one can stop me, Sam, from conquering the world!"

"Roar!" The little guy at level 7 is no longer considered an infant-level Qilin. In fact, he's now a child-level Qilin, and his roar has quite a bit of imposing presence.

"Bang!" The giant hammer spirit swung its hammer fiercely, with a force of a thousand pounds. If it had landed squarely, Little One would probably have coughed up blood. But there was no "if." With a simple raise of its right forearm, Little One actually slapped the giant hammer spirit's fierce blow away.

"Roar!" It charged forward, head down, fiercely slamming the giant hammer-wielding spirit into the air. Compared to the Elf King, the giant hammer-wielding spirit was far too weak. But the evil and cowardly Sam still summoned it back.

However, Sam never expected that the Hammer Helmet Spirit would be so vulnerable, being sent flying by the little guy in a single exchange.

The leaders of the three elemental spirits, along with the giant hammer helmet spirits who were merely filling in, had all gathered in this Netherworld Prison. The frantic rush of spirits, coupled with the fierce attacks of the spirit king, made Lian Yang and the others feel quite strained for a while.

With a casual stab, Lian Yang killed a fire squirrel that pounced on him and shouted, "Use your potions and kill them all! If we keep fighting like this, Sam will let more and more elves in, and even more elves will fall victim to our poison!"

The Elf King can summon elves, and usually no elf will refuse the king's call. Zyra, Jerus, the illusion elves, and the giant hammer helmet spirits that were merely there to fill the ranks were all summoned by Price without any warning, and their souls were devoured by Sam as soon as they arrived. However, they can still summon a continuous stream of elves from the Anorfa Forest to fight for them. So, apart from Darlex, who had already sensed something was wrong, all the other elves suffered.

"The pleasant duel is over!" Alice said, looking at Zera, who had lost her soul and was attacking purely on instinct. "But I will give you the most honorable death! Anti-tank gun!"

"Bang!"

A huge fireball slammed into Alice, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, but the cannon in Alice's hand continued to fire deadly attacks.

"Boom!"

"Bang!"

The cannonball pierced Zyra's chest, leaving a gaping hole. Zyra, the Fire Elf princess and leader, had finally fallen.

"Jerus, you are a great swordsman!" Baron watched as Jerus attacked with his sword, offering no resistance whatsoever.

"Thud!" Jerus's sword pierced Baron's shoulder hard.

"Don't worry!" Baron gripped Jerus's greatsword with his left hand and said, "I will give you an honorable death! Rage erupts!" The familiar blood array beneath his feet reappeared, gathering Baron's fighting passion and furious anger towards Sam, which erupted fiercely onto Jerus.

Without a single scream, Jerus was simply obliterated by the fierce rage.

"Tell me!" Seeing the Illusionary Spirit's laser attack, Lian Yang didn't dodge, letting the laser scorch his body. Lian Yang said, "If you awaken now, transformed into a turtle's close relative, wouldn't you look down on yourself?" Letting the laser burn him, Lian Yang walked step by step to the Illusionary Spirit. "Die! The body of a king should not be defiled by evil!"

"Inner Demon Sword Technique!"

The swords moved like flowing light, swift as a swimming dragon. Staring at the flashing laser beams before him, Lian Yang's hands danced up and down, his two swords arcing through the air. They slashed fiercely at the soft body of the illusionary elf in the center.

The Illusionary Elf didn't scream. He desperately tried to reach the dragon's body, but the excruciating pain rendered him incapable of making a choice. Finally, it was over. The frenzied Ghost Sword Technique ended with Lian Yang's sweeping strike. The once-king of light elves, the Illusionary Elf, was also cleaved in two by Lian Yang. He was free.

As for the Giant Hammer Helmet Spirit? "Roar!" It was torn to shreds with a single roar from the little one...

After the battle ended, Lian Yang said calmly, "Let's go. Paris should be finding Price soon."
