At the bustling train station, Yao Yingxi stepped off the train and looked at the city where she had lived for more than a decade.

After a month-long business trip, she returned to face her betraying younger sister and boyfriend.

The train station was packed with people. Yao Yingxi walked out, pressing her hand to her chest; her breathing felt very labored.

Yao Yingxi took her phone out of her bag, put the original SIM card back in, and turned it on. Countless text messages popped up reminding her of incoming calls.

Without checking the message, Yao Yingxi pulled up her phone book and dialed Yao Yingyue's number.

Yao Yingyue sounded surprised when she received the call. Before she could say anything, Yao Yingxi simply said, "Let's talk when we get home," and hung up the phone, then hailed a taxi.

During this past month, Yao Yingxi had thought about many things. Yao Yingyue was her only family in the world. If Liang Yu had cheated on her with any other woman, she could have made them suffer with her own methods. But that person was her blood-related sister. She could give up that man, but she couldn't give up this sister.

Therefore, as long as Yao Yingyue breaks up with Liang Yu, she can act as if nothing ever happened.

Originally, Yao Yingxi thought Yao Yingyue would listen to her and that the sisters could return to their former relationship. But when she saw Yao Yingyue's rounder cheeks and slightly protruding belly, and the man carrying chicken soup out of the kitchen, all her confidence shattered in an instant.

Yao Yingxi stood at the spot where she had just entered the house, her gaze shifting from Yao Yingyue to the surroundings of the room.

In just one month, the place she had lived in for several years had become their love nest.

"Sister, Brother Liang Yu just made chicken soup. Would you like some? You love chicken soup the most." Yao Yingyue walked towards Yao Yingxi with an unnatural smile on her face. She reached out to hold Yao Yingxi's hand, but Yao Yingxi raised her hand to avoid it.

Yao Yingyue gritted her teeth and swayed, as if she was about to fall to the side due to inertia.

Liang Yu's expression changed, and he caught Yao Yingyue just as she was about to fall.

Yao Yingxi was stunned for a moment. When she raised her hand to help Yao Yingyue, she saw Liang Yu running towards Yao Yingyue and withdrew her outstretched hand.

A sharp slap landed on Yao Yingxi's face. Liang Yu's furious voice was filled with deep disappointment: "Yao Yingxi! I never thought you were such a heartless person! You even laid a hand on Yueyue when she was pregnant! Yueyue and I are sorry to you! But the child is innocent!"

Liang Yu scooped up the pale-faced Yao Yingyue and strode out, saying, "You'd better pray that Yueyue and the baby are alright!"

The loud slam of the door shook the windowpane. Yao Yingxi snapped out of her daze, raised her hand to touch the half of her face where she had been slapped, her eyes were a little red, but a mocking smile curled at the corner of her mouth.

Yao Yingxi brushed the hair from her cheeks, glanced at the unrecognizable house, and turned away without a second thought.

As I left the unfinished building and reached the intersection, my phone rang.

As soon as Yao Yingxi answered the phone, her boss's furious voice came through: "Yao Yingxi, do you still want a promotion? Look at the time! You're still not here! You don't want this job anymore, do you?!"

"I'm sorry, manager." Yao Yingxi then remembered that she had a business dinner tonight, and hailed a taxi: "I'm on my way, I'll be there soon."

Yao Yingxi started working right after graduating high school, working as a saleswoman in a clothing store. It took her three years to become a store manager. Recently, she was preparing to marry Liang Yu and wanted to move to an office job for more regular hours and to earn more money. That's why she submitted an application and had the opportunity to discuss a deal today.

Finding the private room the manager had mentioned, Yao Yingxi pushed open the door and was immediately hit by a strong smell of alcohol.

The table was full of men.

As soon as Yao Yingxi sat down inside, she noticed the menacing looks in their eyes.

The manager filled Yao Yingxi's glass with baijiu and urged her with a smile, "Yingxi, you've been so late. Drink a glass to toast the bosses as a form of self-punishment."

Yao Yingxi never drinks alcohol, and over the years her alcohol tolerance has only reached the level of half a bottle of beer.

She hesitated for a moment, and before she could refuse, the manager was already displeased. He gave her a dark look and threatened her in a voice that no one else could hear: "If you offend any of these people today, you're fired tomorrow!"

Yao Yingxi glanced at the manager. She had just suffered an emotional blow, and if she lost her job, she would have nothing left to hold on to.

Raising her glass, Yao Yingxi smiled and said, "Gentlemen, I'm late. This glass is to apologize to you all."

After saying that, she drank a glass of wine. The burning sensation spread from her throat all the way to her stomach, and her cheeks quickly flushed red.

Yao Yingxi choked and coughed, covering her mouth in a sorry state. The bosses, looking on with amusement, started to jeer.

After being forced to drink a few more glasses of wine, Yao Yingxi couldn't take it anymore. She apologized and stumbled towards the restroom.

She leaned over the toilet and vomited, finally feeling a little better after throwing up everything in her stomach.

After washing her face and just as she was starting to wake up, the manager called again: "Yao Yingxi, you get back here right now! Can you afford to lose a deal worth millions?!"

"Right away." Yao Yingxi leaned on the edge of the sink, glanced at herself in the mirror, and walked out.

Of all the CEOs in the private room, only a slightly overweight middle-aged man in his forties remained.

When the manager saw Yao Yingxi return, he pulled her over to the man and handed her a glass of wine: "This is President Wang, the person directly in charge of our project. President Wang appreciates you very much. Quickly toast President Wang."

Mr. Wang smiled lewdly at Yao Yingxi. Even though Yao Yingxi was very drunk, she knew that Mr. Wang's gaze was malicious.

"Quick! Drink this glass of wine!" As Yao Yingxi was slowly trying to figure out how to get away, the manager grabbed her hand and forced the glass of wine into her mouth.

The manager was very strong, and Yao Yingxi was somewhat drunk, so her limbs were weak and she couldn't resist at all.

"Let me go!" Yao Yingxi choked on her drink and was restrained by the manager, almost half-lying on the table, filled with shock and anger!

Mr. Wang walked over from the side, standing next to Yao Yingxi with a lewd smile. He pinched her chin with one hand and stroked her waist with the other: "Tsk tsk tsk! What a beauty, even when she's angry she's still so pretty."

"Wouldn't it be irresistible if she were stripped naked?" Boss Wang said lewdly, leaning down to kiss Yao Yingxi's lips with a lustful look.

The greasy, alcohol-reeking face drew closer, a mixture of panic, fear, disgust, and humiliation washing over her. Just as Mr. Wang was about to touch her mouth, Yao Yingxi finally remembered and kicked the man behind her in the groin.

The manager immediately clutched his groin and screamed in pain. President Wang did not expect Yao Yingxi to be able to resist, so he raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face.

Yao Yingxi was stunned by the beating. At this moment, she had only one thought in her mind: she would rather die than let them succeed. She grabbed the table next to her with both hands and smashed it down on President Wang's head without any hesitation.

Instantly, blood began gushing from Mr. Wang's head.

The manager was terrified by the scene; his face turned pale, and his body trembled: "Murder! Murder!"

Yao Yingxi's face turned pale, and the chair in her hand fell to the ground with a "bang". Her mind went blank. She didn't know what to do and just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

She ran out, and the hotel staff, having heard the commotion, chased after her.

The crimson blood still seemed to linger in her mind's eye. Yao Yingxi's lips trembled as she ran, repeating, "No, I didn't mean to, I didn't..."

Tears welled in her eyes, but Yao Yingxi bumped into someone's arms. The person gripped her shoulders, looked down at her swollen cheek, and asked in a deep voice, "Who hit you?"
