The next few days were basically spent like this.

While Wu Xie ate and slept with Ling Yue, she also took care of Su Nan, who was snow-blind.

Running back and forth like this, Su Nan would occasionally sneak into his room to sit for a while, at which point Ling Yue would have to jump out of the window one step ahead.

At times like these, Wu Xie would truly feel as if he and Ling Yue were having an affair.

cough!

nonsense!

It's true that he and Ling Yue were definitely not the ones who stole it!

Wu Xie cleared his throat awkwardly. Su Nan suddenly sniffed and said, "Wu Xie, something's not right about the smell in your room."

Wu Xie was stunned. Her first reaction was that she could smell Ling Yue's scent!

But then, remembering that Ling Yue would never make such a basic mistake, Wu Xie's racing heartbeat quickly returned to normal: "Smell? No way, Su Nan, are you saying my room stinks?"

Su Nan smiled and said, "It's not that it smells bad, it's just too clean. I didn't expect you to be so virtuous. I've heard you cleaning the room every day for the past two days."

Wu Xie glanced at her and deliberately said, "Su Nan, do you listen to what I'm doing in your room every day? Do you also eavesdrop on whether I snore or talk in my sleep at night?"

Su Nan was speechless: "Do you think I'm someone who has nothing better to do than eavesdrop on you while you sleep?" It's as if she's some kind of perverted woman obsessed with him.

While she was speaking, Wu Xie kept observing her expression, and only when he was sure that she hadn't heard him and Ling Yue talking that night did he feel relieved.

“It’s a cloudy day today. Master said it might snow tonight, and that will be the last snowfall in this long winter in Motuo.” Wu Xie’s tone carried a strange sense of emotion.

After leaving this place, he didn't know if he would ever have the chance to be like this again.

From the start of the day to the end, she is all I see when I open my eyes or close them.

Su Nan whispered, "You don't want to leave here?"

Wu Xie countered, "Are you willing to leave?"

Su Nan then stopped talking and just sat there quietly.

That night, the snow did indeed fall.

It was time to rest, but Ling Yue still hadn't returned.

Wu Xie was so worried that he couldn't stop thinking about all sorts of random things, even though he knew she was highly skilled in martial arts.

One moment she was lost alone in the mountains, the next she slipped and fell into a smooth snow pit, and then she was attacked and surrounded by hungry wild animals...

Finally, unable to calm down and wait inside, he simply grabbed a cloak and braved the snow to go outside and look for someone.

Fortunately, Ling Yue didn't even leave the Lama temple.

Upon hearing Wu Xie's footsteps, Ling Yue, who was sitting on the roof watching the snow, pinched a handful of snow and threw it down.

With his hands tucked into his sleeves and holding the cloak in his arms, Wu Xie looked up at her, but he couldn't bring himself to call out, so he could only wave with one hand.

Ling Yue found him annoying, but still got up, stepped on the snow on the roof, spread her arms, and jumped down: "What are you doing out so late?"

Do I not know how weak I am? I'm afraid that if I go out and get a gust of wind or a drenching of snow, I'll have a high fever and won't be able to get up tomorrow.

Wu Xie unfolded his cloak: "I brought you clothes. You know it's so late, why didn't you go back to your room?"

Ling Yue looked down at his reddened face and the back of his hands, but didn't say anything. She let him put the cloak on her and tie a pretty bow with his frozen fingers.

After tying the knot, Ling Yue looked up at him, her eyes conveying: Now that you've finished dropping him off, shouldn't you go back?

Wu Xie, however, folded his hands again and looked away, pretending not to understand her meaning. Instead, he said with great interest, "Going to see the snow? Can I come along?"

Wu Xie discovered that sometimes being a rogue with Ling Yue is quite useful.

Although the risks are still quite high, there is a possibility that you might act like a scoundrel and get beaten up, then knocked unconscious and thrown back.

Fortunately, Wu Xie had good luck tonight.

Wu Xie absolutely refused to go back to the house, so Ling Yue had no choice but to put his arm around his waist and lift him up to the roof.

Wu Xie's clothes weren't thin, but they weren't thick either.

Sitting on the cold roof ridge, with the snow wind blowing and the snow falling, Wu Xie soon sneezed from the cold.

As soon as Wu Xie put his hands into his sleeves, he noticed that no more snowflakes were falling on his head.

He looked up and saw that when the snowflakes fell on their heads, they seemed to be bounced off by an invisible shield.

Wu Xie turned to look at Ling Yue.

Ling Yue didn't look at him, but instead looked up at the leaden-gray night sky.

Wu Xie followed her example and looked up at the sky she was looking at.

After an unknown amount of time, Wu Xie's neck stiffened, and he had no choice but to look away and ask her softly, "Ling Yue, do you like snow?"

Ling Yue rarely reveals her past or preferences, and even the personality she currently displays is not entirely true to Wu Xie.

This Ling Yue seemed to have already distanced herself from the world, and she could leave at any time.

There was no reply from Ling Yue.

Wu Xie didn't feel embarrassed, because as soon as he asked the question, he had already mentally anticipated that the cat would ignore him again.

A while later, Ling Yue's voice suddenly rang out beside her: "I didn't like it at first, but then I came to like it."

Wu Xie's heart stirred, and he vaguely understood something.

He tentatively continued, "Why don't you like it? And why do you like it?"

Ling Yue still didn't turn around to look at him; she had no interest in dissecting her inner thoughts to others.

She just suddenly remembered some things from the past.

"I don't like it, of course, because it's too cold during the snowy season. It's so cold that your hands and feet are freezing, and you can't even hold a dagger properly." She gave a cryptic laugh.

The voice was somewhat cold: "If you can't hold on with your hands, you can only bite with your teeth. Blood sprays into your mouth, and when you swallow it, it can actually burn you so much that you break out in a sweat."

Wu Xie frowned, unsure of what to say.

Ling Yue didn't need him to say anything; she simply moved her hand that was resting on her bent knee.

It was as if he was making sure his hands weren't so frozen that he couldn't hold the dagger properly, or perhaps he was just simply moving them.

Wu Xie looked down at her hand.

Her hands were undoubtedly beautiful.

Even the top hand models can't compare.

But this hand is dangerous...

Wu Xie exhaled a puff of white mist. He pulled his hand out of his sleeve, hesitated for a moment, and then tried to gently place it on the back of her hand.

His intention was to warm her hands with his own, but when he touched them, he realized that her hands were much warmer than his.

This is awkward.

Wu Xie's right hand was just hanging there, neither withdrawing it nor putting it down.

She was probably amused by his awkward body language.

Ling Yue's lips curled into a barely perceptible smile. Before he could hesitate to withdraw his hand, Ling Yue's left hand flipped upwards and grabbed his right hand.

Wu Xie shuddered and became even more stiff.

The next instant, a warm current flowed through his body from the interlocked palms, driving away the cold.

Wu Xie then realized: she hadn't suddenly taken his hand; rather, she had noticed that he was freezing cold and had kindly offered to warm him up.

But then I thought about it again, and with Ling Yue's personality, there must be no other person she would care for and be so considerate of!

Wu Xie was delighted again and took advantage of the situation, moving closer to her and deliberately acting silly to amuse her: "It can both block the snow and keep you warm, internal energy is so useful! Master Ling, do you think I can still practice internal energy now?"

Ling Yue snorted and said mercilessly, "Too late, you're too old."

Wu Xie clutched her heart with her other hand, swayed slightly, and feigned sadness: "Ling Yue, your words are so hurtful!"

Ling Yue glanced at him sideways: "Wu Xie, don't make me want to hit you."

Hei Xiazi said that Wu Xie was his apprentice. Ling Yue didn't believe it before, but now that he sees it, it actually seems somewhat credible.

Wu Xie sniffed, looking pitiful, and tentatively moved closer to her little by little.

Finally, she rested her head on Ling Yue's shoulder, but she didn't actually hit him.

Wu Xie secretly smiled and quietly watched the snow.

I suddenly regretted not bringing a camera. I hope he doesn't develop Alzheimer's disease.

Ling Yue never explained why she liked snow again.
