After playing against NB on July 14, EDG played a day of scrims on July 15.

On July 16th, they faced off against OMG.

The match was scheduled for 6 PM, so EDG didn't leave the club until 3 PM.

If the match were to start at 6 PM, EDG could actually start at 4 PM. However, the problem is that after the previous Bo3 match, EDG must immediately take over, so the start time needs to be earlier to prevent the Bo3 from ending quickly 2-0.

The previous best-of-three series was Snake vs. NB.

The NB team, which just lost to EDG the day before yesterday, narrowly defeated the Snake team 2-1 this time.

After they finished their match, it was EDG's turn to play.

"Welcome back, I'm Wawa!" Wawa's voice rang out in the competition venue.

"This is Miller!" Miller followed closely: "Next up is our second best-of-three series of the day, and also a major match! EDG vs. OMG!"

"EDG is currently undefeated in the Summer Split, leading the standings with a 7-0 record!" Wawa said with a smile, "But..."

At this point, the child suddenly raised her voice when she said "but".

"Hahaha...you've got something special." Miller burst out laughing.

"OMG is also undefeated in the Summer Split!" Wawa continued the previous topic: "OMG's current record is 6-0, right behind EDG!"

"Both teams are undefeated, and a winner must be decided today." Miller's voice was full of anticipation: "Will EDG continue their winning streak, or will OMG cut off EDG's path to victory? Let's wait and see!"

"Yes……"

After the Haier Brothers rambled on for more than ten minutes, the in-game ban/pick interface finally appeared on the big screen.

"It's finally here! Today's epic battle!" The little girl breathed a sigh of relief. "Let's wait and see!"

He had already been chatting with Miller for ten minutes about nothing, and if they continued, he didn't know what to talk about anymore.

"OMG, on the blue side, banned Taliyah, Kalista, and Braum right away!" Miller exclaimed. "Looks like OMG is targeting EDG's bot lane."

In the previous match against NB, EDG's Taliyah paired with Kalista as their dual carries was too aggressive.

OMG was unwilling to bear such great pressure in the early stages, so they had to ban all of EDG's champions.

"EDG is on the red side, they banned Zac, Caitlyn, and Kog'Maw!" Wawa suddenly raised his voice:

"Both sides are focusing heavily on the bottom lane this game! Sima Laozei and Iboy are both rising ADCs, and their bottom lanes are sure to create some spectacular clashes."

Sima Laozei's big mouth can't be banned, and the policewoman is also difficult for him to deal with, so they should all be banned.

As for Zac, he's a strong ban in this patch!

After the first round of bans, OMG picked Galio on the blue side.

Galio can be played in both top and mid lanes, making him an OP hero in this version; first pick is almost guaranteed.

EDG countered by picking Thresh and Rek'Sai.

The fact that EDG picked this jungler and support pairing proves that they are still planning to play an early-game offensive strategy in this game.

Thresh is neither a hard support nor a soft support; he is a support who must gain an advantage.

OMG countered by picking Sejuani and Rakan!

With these three front-line heroes and the first pick for initiating team fights, OMG's lineup is now fully formed. For the next two heroes, they just need to provide additional damage output.

With these three heroes protecting them, the remaining two damage dealers can output damage without any pressure.

EDG picked Rumble again on the third floor.

If Rumble lands a good ultimate in a team fight, he'll be a huge counter to OMG's three engage champions.

Both sides can then ban players in the second round.

EDG first banned Xayah.

Given OMG's lineup, if Xayah isn't banned, there's practically no chance of killing her in team fights.

Next, the prince was banned.

Prince can be played in the top lane this version, as he has a lot of crowd control and strong damage output.

In the current version, it has some advantages over Rumble.

With Galiolo added, they're practically invincible in team fights.

OMG banned Jayce and Cassiopeia.

Both of these heroes are counters to Galio in the mid lane.

Galio can indeed play top lane, but if Galio is placed in the top lane, EDG might even move Rumble to the mid lane.

Then Zhou Hanyang picked a flashy item and crushed Galio in the top lane.

So these two bans were a clear message to EDG that their Galio was going mid.

After the second round of bans, EDG picked Varus on the fourth floor of the red side.

Varus is a champion without any mobility skills, but he is very strong in the laning phase.

Therefore, Varus is often paired with supports like Thresh and Tahm Kench, which allows him to exert lane pressure while protecting Varus.

With Varus picked, EDG's lineup was completely finalized.

This is another lineup that focuses on early to mid-game tempo.

Facing EDG's lineup, OMG's task is to provide support in terms of both offensive and offensive capabilities.

They chose the rat and Kree.

Kled can use his ultimate ability to cross Rumble's flames in team fights.

The rat takes the brunt of the damage in this round; once its ultimate skill is activated, its AOE damage is more than enough.

Moreover, the rat can instantly become invisible and follow up into the fray, preventing a situation where the front line engages and the AD carry is unable to follow up with damage.

Facing OMG's lineup, EDG ultimately picked Corki on the fifth floor.

The plane and Rambo form a double wall of flames.

If Kled's ultimate can get past one flame, how can he get past a second flame?

OMG's strategy here is all about charging in!

EDG's lineup is a late-game dual-marksman positional system.

Both the plane and Varus have decent late-game damage output.

Logically speaking, both airplanes and Varus are afraid of charging into battle.

However, with Rambo forming a fire formation, it becomes a strong counter to the OMG charge formation.

If OMG dares to charge in, they should be prepared to be roasted alive.
