Live fortune telling: Sending a top star to prison right from the start.
Chapter 77 Nightmare in Northern Myanmar
Upon arrival at their destination, a colleague called out to Liang Zhen, signaling him to disembark.
As Liang Zhen dragged his light suitcase out of the cabin, the humid and stuffy air hit him in the face.
He raised his hand to shield his eyes from the glaring sunlight, squinting uncomfortably.
My colleagues around me chattered excitedly, full of curiosity.
Wow, this is what it's like abroad! Even the air seems different!
Little A took a deep breath dramatically, her eyes sparkling as she looked around.
"Look at that architectural style, it's so unique, completely different from what we have in China."
Little B pointed to a colorful and uniquely designed house not far away and said.
"I wonder if the place we're going to is even more beautiful. It's amazing that we can travel while we're here for work!" Little C exclaimed excitedly, gesturing wildly.
As Little D spoke, she swallowed hard, "I've heard that the food here is very famous. I must go and try it after I finish my work."
Liang Zhen chimed in, "This trip will definitely leave many unforgettable memories."
The supervisor enthusiastically offered to take them to the city center first to experience the unique local customs.
Liang Zhen and his colleagues were very excited and boarded the bus.
As the car slowly entered the city, the scenery outside the window gradually became narrow and cramped, with tall buildings being replaced by messy alleys and dilapidated houses.
Liang Zhen's unease grew stronger. He sat up straight and tapped his fingers nervously on his knees.
The car finally stopped in front of a dimly lit alley, surrounded by a mixture of stench and stuffiness.
Before they could react, the supervisor and others instantly changed their expressions. Several thugs appeared out of nowhere and started throwing punches at Liang Zhen and the others.
Liang Zhen's world was instantly plunged into darkness and excruciating pain. He struggled desperately inside the hood, like a trapped wild beast.
"Run!" he shouted in his heart, and rushed in one direction with all his might.
His body kept bumping into walls and debris, scraping his arms and twisting his ankle, but he ignored the pain; his will to survive drove him to do whatever it took.
Behind him came the urgent sounds of pursuit and shouts; his heart felt like it was going to jump out of his throat.
In his panic, he turned into a dead end, where a high wall stood in front of him.
He turned around in despair, only to find that his escape route had been cut off.
The thugs approached step by step, their faces contorted in a sinister grin.
Liang Zhen glared angrily, like a wolf driven to the brink of despair, ready to fight to the death.
But he was no match for the crowd. A blow landed on his head, and he lost consciousness.
After an unknown amount of time, Liang Zhen slowly woke up amidst a sharp pain.
He found himself in a closed-off park, surrounded by high walls and electric fences, with heavily armed thugs patrolling back and forth, their eyes cold and fierce.
His hands were handcuffed with cold cuffs, and his heart was filled with fear and despair.
"Welcome here. From now on, your life is in my hands. Work for me, commit fraud, understand?"
A cold voice rang in his ears, like the whisper of a demon, announcing that he had fallen into an endless abyss of darkness.
Liang Zhen glared at him angrily: "I won't do such an illegal thing!"
The supervisor sneered and waved his hand, and several thugs surrounded Liang Zhen, punching and kicking him.
Liang Zhen fell to the ground, the pain in his body almost making him faint, but he gritted his teeth and remained silent.
Dragged back to the dimly lit dormitory, Liang Zhen saw the other imprisoned people, their eyes filled with numbness and helplessness.
On the second day of being trapped, Liang Zhen was roughly thrown into a dark and damp room in the park, the floor of which was covered with stains and debris.
He had just raised his head when a fierce-looking burly man strode up to him.
"Kid, you'd better be smart and work for us!"
Liang Zhen gritted his teeth and roared angrily, "I will never do anything illegal!"
Upon hearing this, the burly man's face turned bright red, and the veins on his forehead bulged, making him look like a vicious dog about to be released from its cage.
He suddenly raised his thick arm, his large, fan-like hand drawing an arc in the air with a whooshing sound, and slapped Liang Zhen hard across the face with a loud "smack".
Liang Zhen felt as if he had been struck by lightning. A sharp pain shot through his head, his ears were ringing, and blood instantly seeped from the corner of his mouth.
Before he could even catch his breath, the big man kicked him in the stomach.
The kick was extremely powerful. Liang Zhen's body flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the wall before collapsing to the ground.
He clutched his stomach tightly with both hands, his stomach churning violently, a metallic taste rising in his throat, and he vomited a mouthful of blood.
But Liang Zhen's gaze remained firm; he stubbornly stared at the burly man, his eyes burning with an indomitable flame.
The big man was completely enraged. Like a raging bull, he rushed over and started punching and kicking Liang Zhen.
Each punch landed on Liang Zhen's ribs, back, and arms, the dull thuds echoing in the small room.
Liang Zhen's body trembled incessantly with each punch; he felt pain in every bone in his body, as if they were about to fall apart.
He had to beg for mercy: "I'll do it, I'll do it, please stop hitting me."
The most important thing right now is to stay alive.
The burly man ordered, "You're tough as nails, so lock yourself in a dog cage for a day. You'll be on duty tomorrow."
On the day Liang Zhen started his job, there were rows of computer desks around him, and the letters on the keyboards were worn and blurred.
The table was piled high with papers filled with scam scripts, and the light above flickered, casting shadows that seemed to shift between light and shadow.
After he took office, looking at the fake documents and chat tools in front of him, he couldn't go against his conscience.
Days passed, and his performance showed no improvement; his name on the whiteboard was followed by a glaring zero.
This angered the supervisor who oversaw them, a man with a fierce face and ruthless, wolf-like eyes.
He suddenly grabbed Liang Zhen by the collar, pulled him up from his seat, and cursed him viciously.
"You piece of trash, are you here to freeload?"
As he spoke, he raised his fist, which was as hard as an iron hammer, and slammed it heavily into Liang Zhen's cheek.
Liang Zhen felt a sharp pain, as if his head had been blown open, and a bloody taste filled his mouth.
Several fierce-looking thugs nearby also surrounded them upon seeing this.
One of the guys with dyed yellow hair kicked Liang Zhen in the stomach, sending him crashing to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
They kicked and punched him while cursing, "If you don't work, we'll beat you to death!"
Liang Zhen curled up on the ground, his hands tightly protecting his head and vital parts: "I will try my best, please give me another chance."
Liang Zhen was imprisoned in a water dungeon that same day.
In a corner not far away, there was a huge iron cage containing several people who had tried to escape but were caught.
They lay or sat in the iron cage, their bodies covered with burn marks from electric shocks, black smoke still rising from their wounds, and they occasionally let out painful groans and desperate cries.
Suddenly, a commotion caught Liang Zhen's attention.
He turned his head and saw a group of fierce-looking thugs surrounding a thin young man not far away.
He was the organizer of this planned escape.
The young man's face was filled with despair as he struggled and begged for mercy, his voice hoarse and broken, choked with sobs.
However, the assailants showed no mercy. One of them, who appeared to be the leader, with cruelty and indifference in his eyes, shot him dead.
"This is what happens when you try to run away."
Liang Zhen's eyes widened, and he tried to shout but it was as if his throat was being choked, and he couldn't make a sound.
The bullet mercilessly pierced the young man's body, and blood gushed out like a fountain, staining the surrounding ground red.
The young man's body trembled violently, his eyes gradually lost focus, and he finally collapsed helplessly into a pool of blood, his limbs still twitching slightly.
Liang Zhen's legs went weak, and he collapsed to the ground, his stomach churning as he vomited.
His hands trembled incessantly, his heart filled with endless fear and despair, as if he too had fallen into an abyss of no return.
Just when Liang Zhen was about to give up, Qiao Sheng appeared with his men, and he saw a glimmer of hope.
At the hospital, Liang Zhen received emergency treatment and was finally out of danger.
When he opened his eyes and saw the white ceiling and his parents watching over him, tears welled up in his eyes.
