Zhou Wen quickly calmed himself down and shone his headlamp on the spot where the creature had just swum, trying to see what it was. However, the water was murky and the light intensity was low, so he couldn't see anything underwater.

The creature was not terrifying in appearance, nor did it show any intention to attack Zhou Wen. It simply crawled slowly along the rock wall, leaving a long trail of slime in its wake.

The giant creature used these sharp bone spikes to shatter Zhou Wen's dozen or so shields by rotating them.

The carapace splits into several segments from the middle, like blooming flower petals. These are the hidden mouthparts of the giant creature, covered with sharp, fine teeth.
