Landlady who likes to hoard land

Chapter 27 Naughty Child

The door was pushed open forcefully again with a "thump," startling everyone in the ward once more.

A chubby little boy, about five or six years old, burst in like a cannonball, carrying a toy water gun, and started spraying water at the people in the ward.

"biu, biu, biu..."

"Little friend, this is a hospital ward, not your battlefield!"

Wang Chengyu frowned. Luckily, there was no water in the water gun. If there had been, he would have definitely punched him.

"I've killed all the enemies, Mom and Dad, you can come in now."

The boy ignored Wang Chengyu's words and turned to shout towards the door.

Upon hearing the little boy speak, the two adults outside the ward came in.

The man apologized as soon as he entered the door.

"Sorry, my child has recently become obsessed with shooting games. Please understand."

They say they apologize, but their actions contradict that, indulging their child's misbehavior. It's disgusting!

One instance of forgiveness is acceptable, but two instances will not be tolerated by anyone. The other people in the ward remained silent, all glaring at him angrily.

The man's expression shifted, and he stood there somewhat awkwardly.

Just as Wang Chengyu was about to say something sarcastic to him, the woman who came in with the man spoke up.

"What's there to apologize for? Playing is a child's nature. Every family has children, and every healthy child runs and jumps around."

If your son really just sits on the hospital bed like everyone else, not running or jumping, let's see if you'll be worried!

The woman rolled her eyes and gave the man a disdainful look.

"Xiaohang, don't run around or touch anything. Quickly say hello to Grandma, and then we'll leave. The hospital is too dirty; it has all sorts of viruses."

After the woman finished speaking, she glanced at Youyou, who was sitting on the bed eating peaches, as if she had seen something dirty, and her face was full of impatience.

Hearing the other party's veiled insults, Cui Ying's eyes turned red with anger, tears welling up in them, and she stood up abruptly.

"How can you talk like that? If you can't speak properly, then shut up. What do you mean by 'sitting on the hospital bed without running or jumping'?"

"Can't I even speak my mind? Isn't what I said the truth?"

The woman didn't think she had done anything wrong; she believed she was just telling the truth and that the other person was making a mountain out of a molehill.

"you you……"

Cui Ying was so angry that she couldn't speak.

The boy's shrill voice echoed throughout the ward once again.

"Mommy, I want to eat peaches! Hanghang wants to eat peaches!"

The boy pointed at the peach in Youyou's hand and shouted that he wanted to eat it.

The elderly man in the hospital bed immediately spoke up upon seeing this.

"Hanghang, be good. Those are your sister's peaches. Grandma has some here. Come to Grandma."

The old woman took the peach that Wang Chengyu had given her with trembling hands and gestured for the little boy to come and take it.

"I want to eat peaches, I want to eat peaches."

The boy happily ran over and took the peach from the old man's hand.

Although Wang Chengyu was somewhat unhappy with the old woman's behavior, she didn't say anything. She had given the peaches to the old woman, and it was up to her whether she chose to eat them herself or give them to her grandson. What upset her was that the peaches were given to the naughty child.

The boy took the peach, opened his mouth wide, and was about to take a bite.

"Snapped"

The peach was slapped to the ground by the woman.

The moment a ripe peach hits the ground, its juice splashes, the milky white flesh is shattered, and the rich aroma of peaches instantly fills the air.

"They put all sorts of unclean things in their mouths; who knows what viruses might be on them!"

The woman's sharp and sarcastic voice followed.

The old man stood there, his hand raised empty, stunned.

"Wow...I want to eat peaches, boohoo...peaches."

Just as the peach he was about to eat fell to the ground, the boy plopped down and started crying loudly.

"Hanghang, be good, wake up quickly, Mommy will take you shopping. Everything here has viruses, we can't eat it."

The little boy ignored her virus theory; all he knew was that the peach he was about to eat was gone. He continued to cry and fuss.

The woman tried to coax the boy for a while, but he remained seated on the ground, throwing a tantrum and refusing to get up. Losing her patience, the woman yelled at the man standing to the side:

“I said I couldn’t come, but you insisted on making me. Your mother isn’t dying anytime soon, so why do you have to come to the hospital to see her? You can see her when she gets home.”

"I'm not a doctor, I can't cure diseases, what did you bring us here for? Now tell me what to do?"

The man's face flushed red and then turned pale; he was embarrassed by the woman yelling at him in public.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Mom's still here!"

"I'm talking nonsense. Then you'd better try to appease your son."

Wang Chengyu could no longer suppress his anger.

“If you want to argue, go outside. This is a hospital ward, not a place for you to throw a tantrum.”

Cui Ying also chimed in.

"Exactly, do you think this is your own home? You treat the elderly so badly. I've never seen such rude people."

The woman's anger instantly shifted to Wang Chengyu and Cui Ying. She walked a few steps in front of them and pointed at them with her beautifully manicured fingers.

"Who are you calling a tantrum? Huh, who are you calling a tantrum? What business is it of yours if my husband and I are arguing? Why are you meddling in our affairs?"

Wang Chengyu did not back down.

"I'm talking to you. Your argument is none of my business, but it is my business that you're arguing here. This is a public place. What are you trying to do by yelling like that!"

The woman crossed her arms, raised her chin high, and looked Wang Chengyu up and down with disdain.

"If you think I'm noisy, then go to a single room. What are you doing crammed into a regular ward? You're just putting on airs like a pig with a scallion in its nose."

"Say less," the man said, pulling at her.

"Why should I say less? They started it. If you're not going to help me, fine, but why should I say less?"

Are you even a man? You just stand by and watch your wife being bullied by others without saying a word.

The woman started nagging at the man again, her mouth firing off like a machine gun, not allowing him to utter a single word.

The noise finally alerted the nurse, who strode in aggressively.

"What's all the noise about? This is a hospital. Are you here to visit a patient or to start a fight?"

You can't hear anyone else's voice in the whole corridor, except for anyone else's.

"Get out of here immediately. You're welcome to argue all you want on the street, and even inside the police station."

"What kind of attitude is this? What's so great about a little nurse like you? Do you believe I'll file a complaint against you?"

The woman shifted her focus again and started yelling at the round-faced nurse.

Its fighting power is off the charts; it bites anyone it catches, just like a belligerent rooster.

Family members who had come to accompany their children in other wards were attracted by the noise and crowded outside to watch the commotion.

"Where's Hanghang? Hanghang is missing."

The man then realized that his son was missing and quickly started shouting.

"Stop arguing, Hanghang is missing!"

Only then did everyone realize that the boy who had been sitting on the ground crying was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, the sound of a little boy wailing came from outside the door, accompanied by the angry voice of a middle-aged man.

"Whose child is this? Whose child is this?"

The woman panicked and frantically looked around. Not seeing her son, she screamed and rushed out of the ward.

"Hanghang, Hanghang..."
