As soon as the three stepped onto the edge of the snowy region, a bone-chilling cold that seemed to freeze their souls instantly swept over them. The biting wind howled past, and their exposed skin instantly lost all feeling. The snowflakes swirling in the air were so dense that they resembled a curtain, and as far as the eye could see, there was only a vast expanse of white.

The snow beneath their feet was deep and soft; each step sank up to their knees, requiring immense effort.
