After passing through the quicksand area, they arrived at an even more eerie place.

It was a river, but the water was black, like ink, and smelled strongly of decay. Some white bones floated on the surface, and every now and then, a few ghosts would emerge from the water, emitting mournful howls.

“This is the Yin River!” Lu Lingxi said in a deep voice, her expression becoming solemn.

The Yin River is a unique river found only on the Netherworld Continent. Its waters are extremely corrosive and can destroy all living things.

"This river is more terrifying than poison!" Huan Yue said, feeling a chill run down his spine. The aura emanating from the dark river made him extremely uncomfortable.

“We must cross this river,” Lu Lingxi said, her gaze falling on the opposite bank, where she could vaguely see some dark shadows wandering about.

"But how do we get across?" Huan Yue asked, not wanting to be corroded into a pile of bones by the river.

"Let me try," Lu Lingxi said. She walked to the riverbank, stretched out her hand, and wanted to test the temperature of the river water. Her fingers gently touched the water.

"Hiss..." She gasped, a sharp pain shooting through her fingertips. She quickly pulled her fingers back, only to find that her fingertips were now charred black.

"How terrifyingly corrosive!" Lu Lingxi thought to herself. The water of this Yin River was even more terrifying than she had imagined.

"Master, are you alright?" Huan Yue and Huan Ying asked with concern.

"I'm fine." Lu Lingxi shook her head and looked at Zhuque. "Zhuque, can you fly over there?"

"I'll give it a try," said Zhuque. She transformed into a fire phoenix and flew towards the Yin River.

However, just as she flew halfway up, several enormous black tentacles suddenly emerged from the dark river and began to coil around her.

"Watch out!" Lu Lingxi shouted. She swung her Flying Snow Sword, sending streaks of sword light slashing toward the tentacles.

"Swoosh! Swoosh!" The sword light struck the tentacle, making a cutting sound, but it could not sever the tentacle.

"These tentacles are incredibly tough!" Lu Lingxi was shocked.

"Roar!"

The Vermilion Bird roared and spewed a stream of phoenix fire at the tentacles. The phoenix fire burned the tentacles, making a sizzling sound, and the tentacles began to smoke, but they were still not burned off.

Lu Lingxi said, "It seems that these tentacles, having lived in the Yin River for a long time, have developed a certain resistance to the Phoenix Fire."

Seeing that even the Phoenix Fire couldn't burn off the tentacles, Lu Lingxi quickly considered a countermeasure. Just then, she noticed that although the tentacles moved swiftly, they seemed to slow down slightly for a moment. It seemed to be a gap in their power regrouping after being attacked.

"Vermilion Bird, let's coordinate our attack and find their weaknesses!" Lu Lingxi shouted in a moment of inspiration.

Upon hearing this, Zhuque immediately adjusted her strategy, no longer blindly spewing flames, but instead cooperating tacitly with Lu Lingxi, one attacking and the other defending.

Lu Lingxi leaped lightly into the air, her Flying Snow Sword tracing a silver path through the air. Each swing of the sword landed precisely on the joints of the tentacles, which seemed to be their most vulnerable spots.

The Vermilion Bird, on the other hand, used its agile body to weave between its tentacles, and occasionally spewed out more concentrated flames, specifically targeting the areas that were exposed after being cut by the sword's edge.

"Qiang Qiang!"

The sword light clashed with the tentacles, the sound of metal striking metal was deafening. Accompanied by the bombardment of the Vermilion Bird's flames, the tentacles finally began to show signs of fatigue, and the cuts no longer healed quickly.

Just then, Lu Lingxi seized a perfect opportunity. She gathered all her spiritual power, and the Flying Snow Sword shone brightly, incorporating the power of ice.

"Freeze for thousands of miles!" With a clear whistle from Lu Lingxi Yao, an extremely cold aura instantly erupted from the point of her sword, freezing a tentacle completely.

Taking advantage of the moment the tentacle was frozen, Suzaku suddenly accelerated, passing straight through the frozen area, and at the same time released the most intense Phoenix Fire. The flames and ice met, producing a violent chemical reaction and a deafening roar. The tentacle finally could not withstand it and broke off with a crash.

The remaining tentacles seemed to sense the destruction of their companions and retreated back into the dark river, no longer daring to surface.

"We succeeded!" Lu Lingxi and Zhuque smiled at each other.
