"What's wrong, Zhuque?" Lu Lingxi noticed Zhuque's unusual behavior and quickly asked.

Zhuque didn't speak; she simply gazed quietly westward, the flames around her beginning to become unstable, crackling and popping.

"Huh...huh..."

Zhuque's breathing became rapid, her chest heaving violently, as if she were suppressing something.

"Zhuque, what's wrong with you?" Lu Lingxi felt a sense of foreboding and asked again.

Zhuque finally spoke, her voice hoarse and trembling slightly: "Master, I...I sensed a powerful divine beast aura..."

"The aura of a divine beast?" Lu Lingxi was startled. "Where is it?"

“In…in the West…” Suzaku said, “That aura is very powerful, very special…it shares the same origin as me, but is also different…”

"Same origin?" Lu Lingxi frowned, recalling the legend of the Four Divine Beasts. "Could it be... the White Tiger?"

Zhuque nodded and said, "Very likely... that aura... it felt to me like... like a majestic mountain, as deep as a vast ocean... different from ordinary spirit beasts... even... even made me feel a sense of awe and familiarity..."

Lu Lingxi was overwhelmed with emotion. She hadn't expected that the Vermilion Bird would sense the White Tiger's aura here.

"The White Tiger... one of the Four Divine Beasts..." Lu Lingxi murmured to herself, "If we could find the White Tiger and sign a contract with him, it might be beneficial in the future fight against the Black Abyss..."

A determined glint flashed in her eyes. "Vermilion Bird, can you pinpoint the exact location of the White Tiger?"

Suzaku shook his head. "I can only sense the general direction, to the west... but I can't pinpoint the exact location..."

Lu Lingxi Yao pondered for a moment, "In that case, let's head west and find the White Tiger!"

She turned to Huan Yue and said, "Huan Yue, you stay here and take care of Huan Ying."

After speaking, the group transformed into four streaks of light, soaring into the sky and speeding westward.

The western part of the Ancient Continent is completely different from the region where Lu Lingxi and the others had been. The further west they went, the thinner the spiritual energy in the world became, replaced by a desolate and bleak atmosphere.

As far as the eye can see, there are only endless, barren mountains and ridges. The wind howls, whipping up clouds of yellow sand that obscure the sky and reduce visibility to extremely low levels.

"The environment here is truly appalling," Huan Yue couldn't help but complain. He transformed into human form and followed closely behind Lu Lingxi Yao, the wind and sand making it almost impossible for him to open his eyes.

"Let's be patient," Lu Lingxi said. "The aura of the divine beast that the Vermilion Bird sensed is nearby. The more treacherous the environment, the more likely it is to give birth to a powerful creature."

“Master is right.” The phantom’s steady voice came. “Although this place is desolate, it has an unusual aura about it. The white tiger must be living here.”

Flames erupted from the Vermilion Bird's body, forming a shield that kept out the raging sandstorm. Her sharp gaze swept across the surroundings.

"Everyone be careful. This place is not only harsh, but also harbors many powerful spirit beasts." Her voice was firm and calm, but it couldn't hide the vigilance within.

Before the words were finished, a shrill and ear-piercing roar shattered the surrounding silence. The yellow sand surged like a sea, and several huge sand scorpions emerged from the ground. Each one was over ten feet long, covered with a hard carapace, and had a gleaming stinger at its tail, dripping with deadly venom.

"It's a swarm of sand scorpions!" Huan Yue exclaimed. "These guys rely on numbers and are good at group attacks. Everyone must be careful!"

Lu Lingxi's eyes sharpened, and she drew her longsword, its blade radiating a chilling aura. "You've come at the perfect time. I'll use you to test my new swordsmanship!"

Her words carried an undeniable air of dominance. Then, she sprang into action, her sword flashing like a tapestry. Each sword aura contained extreme cold, and wherever it passed, the sand scorpions were instantly frozen into crystal-clear ice sculptures. Then, under the residual power of the sword aura, they turned into ice shards and scattered all over the ground.

With fire as its blade, Zhuque flicked its fingers, and flames transformed into blazing fire dragons that weaved through the sand scorpion horde. Wherever it went, flames raged, burning the sand scorpions until they crackled and popped, eventually turning them into charcoal. The air was filled with the pungent smell of burning and sulfur.

Huan Yue manipulated the wind and fire elemental powers. With a slight wave of his hands, a gale arose, forming tornadoes that swept up the sand scorpions. Then, flames descended from the sky, turning the sand scorpions in the tornadoes into ashes.

Phantom, as the incarnation of the Soul-Devouring Vine, has vines that weave like serpents, covered with sharp barbs. Each lash can tear the sand scorpion to shreds, with blood and flesh flying everywhere, creating a cruel and spectacular scene.

Despite their large numbers and formidable strength, the sand scorpions were quickly routed by the combined efforts of Lu Lingxi, Zhuque, Huanyue, and Huanying, scattering and eventually disappearing into the vast yellow sand.
