He gently stroked Lu Lingxi's cheek, his fingertips lingering on her pale lips, his voice hoarse, "How could you be so careless?"

Lu Lingxi tried hard to open her eyes, but found that her eyelids were as heavy as lead. She could only feel Nalan Rongzhi's warm embrace and the reassuring aura emanating from him.

"You think you can really stop me?" Mo Xuan sneered, black mist gathering in his hand once more. "Today, none of you will leave here alive!"

"Is that so?" Nalan Rongzhi scoffed disdainfully, his body radiating golden light. "Then let me see what you're really capable of!"

He held Lu Lingxi in his arms, and in a flash, he disappeared from the spot. The next moment, he appeared in front of Mo Xuan, condensing a ball of purple flame in his hand and smashing it fiercely towards Mo Xuan.

Caught off guard, Mo Xuan was struck by the purple flames and let out a scream. His black robe instantly burst into flames, emitting a pungent, acrid smell.

"Ah!" Mo Xuan roared in pain, rolling on the ground, trying to extinguish the flames on his body.

Nalan Rongzhi ignored him, instead holding Lu Lingxi Yao and turning to look at Bai Ze and Feng Qingxue. "Are you alright?"

Bai Ze and Feng Qingxue finally snapped out of their shock and looked at Nalan Rongzhi with gratitude in their eyes.

"Thank you for saving me." Bai Ze bowed respectfully.

Feng Qingxue nodded slightly in gratitude.

Nalan Rongzhi nodded slightly, without saying anything more. He held Lu Lingxi Yao in his arms and prepared to leave.

Just then, Mo Xuan suddenly got up from the ground, his eyes filled with resentment and venom. "You won't leave without my permission!"

Black mist condensed in his hand again, transforming into a huge black dragon that roared as it charged toward Nalan Rongzhi.

A cold glint flashed in Nalan Rongzhi's eyes. He gently placed Lu Lingxi on the ground, then turned to face the black dragon.

"Since you are looking for death, then I will help you!"

His spiritual power surged, transforming into a massive black longsword, which he slashed fiercely at the black dragon.

The black sword light ripped through the void, emitting a deafening roar. The black dragon was instantly cleaved in two by the sword light, letting out a shrill scream before turning into black mist and dissipating into the air. Mo Xuan's body also collapsed to the ground, barely alive.

Nalan Rongzhi walked up to Mo Xuan and looked down at him. Mo Xuan looked at Nalan Rongzhi with fear and despair in his eyes. He knew he had lost, completely lost.

"I...I curse you..." he said hoarsely, using his last bit of strength, "I curse you...to never get what you want..."

Nalan Rongzhi sneered disdainfully, "Your curse is meaningless to me."

He raised his foot and stomped hard on Mo Xuan's chest, crushing his last shred of life.

After doing all this, Nalan Rongzhi turned around and walked to Lu Lingxi Yao's side. He gently picked her up and carried her. At this moment, Lu Lingxi Yao was already unconscious. Her face was pale, and a few strands of hair fell on her cheeks, making her look fragile and pitiful. Nalan Rongzhi lowered his head and placed a light kiss on her forehead. Then, he disappeared from the spot in a flash.
