The thick fog, like a huge, wet cloth, pressed heavily over the dark forest. The tree branches appeared and disappeared in the fog, like twisted, grotesque hands reaching towards the sky and then drooping down helplessly. The Netherworld Ghost General was too powerful and incredibly fast. Even with Lu Lingxi and Netherworld joining forces, they could not defeat it. It wielded its bone axe, forcing Lu Lingxi and Netherworld to retreat step by step.

Lu Lingxi's strength gradually depleted. She felt her body becoming heavier and her movements slower. If this continued, they would surely be defeated.

Just then, the Netherworld Ghost General suddenly opened its blood-red maw, and a beam of black energy shot out from its mouth, heading straight for Lu Lingxi Yao.

Lu Lingxi Yao was unable to dodge in time and was about to be hit by the energy beam. At this critical moment, a silver light flashed and Huan Yue's figure appeared in front of Lu Lingxi Yao, holding a bead that emitted a dazzling light in her hand.
