“Mr. Mori, as your best partner, I rushed over as soon as I received Hirakiyo’s call to the police.”

Looking at the enthusiastic mountain village policeman, Uncle Mori's lips twitched. It was that rookie policeman again.

"When did you become my perfect partner?"

"Oh dear, how can you say that, Mr. Mori? The two of us have a 100% success rate in solving cases together."

"And what about other cases?"

Yamamura choked for a moment, "Uh... well... that's another matter."

Conan rolled his eyes. With Officer Yamamura's appearance, most of the others would be unable to solve the case.

"Alright, let's leave that aside for now and begin the search. I'm determined to capture footage of the sleeping Kogoro today."

Upon hearing the sound of Kogoro falling asleep, Uncle Mori glanced out of the corner of his eye at Eisuke Hondo, who was staring at them curiously. The two of them seemed to have planned this all along.

"Unfortunately, that's impossible. Look at the car the deceased was driving. The inside of the doors was tightly sealed with duct tape, and there was a charcoal stove in the passenger seat. Unless this woman broke the windshield with a metal baseball bat, it would have been impossible for her to get in and out. In other words, this was carbon monoxide poisoning caused by burning solid fuel inside a closed car. I'm certain this was a suicide, so there's no need for any 'Sleeping Kogoro' deduction show' this time."

Upon hearing Uncle Mori's conclusion that he had committed suicide, both Yamamura Misao and Hondo Eisuke were disappointed and said in unison, "Ah? Does this mean we won't see the sleeping Kogoro anymore?"

Seeing that someone else shared the same sentiment, Yamamura Misao turned around and saw an unfamiliar face, asking in confusion, "Who is this young man?"

"My fans, just some high school kids who happened to come along." After saying that, Uncle Mori put his hands in his pockets and looked at Hirai and Conan, who were standing next to the car talking to the forensic officer. He wondered to himself, "Have these two kids discovered something?"

Just then, a police officer walked over with evidence.

"Officer Yamamura, we found sleeping pills in the canned coffee we found in the car."

Yamamura looked completely bewildered, and Uncle Mori explained, "I think she was worried that burning charcoal might not kill her, so she drank it just to be on the safe side."

Upon hearing Uncle Mori's explanation, Conan mercilessly retorted, "Uncle's ability to make things up is getting stronger and stronger. If he were to write a script, the audience would definitely never be able to guess where the plot is going."

"Ahem, if the old man hears you say that, you'll get a really bad beating."

Just as the two were arguing, the police's findings came out.

Conan's glasses lit up; he knew then that this case was not as simple as his uncle's claim of suicide.

"Officer Yamamura, you've arrested this Mr. Sankaku Atsushi. He's the murderer who killed his girlfriend."

Hearing Hirakiyo's words, Yamamura Misao nodded subconsciously, "Okay." Then, realizing what he meant, she looked at Hirakiyo in shock, "What? He's the murderer? Didn't Mr. Mori say it was suicide?"

"Kid, what do you mean by that? Do you know how much it hurt me to lose Anmi? And you actually said I'm the murderer of Anmi!" After shouting at Hirakiyo, Sankaku Atsushi looked at Yamamura Misao, "Officer, you don't believe what this brat is saying, do you?"

"Mr. Sanko, we understand how you feel about losing your girlfriend. Now, let's hear what Pingqing has to say."

Sangaku stared intently at Pingqing, a hint of malice flashing in his eyes. This brat.

"First, drive the deceased to Gunma, put sleeping pills in the canned coffee the deceased was drinking, and after the deceased falls asleep, put the deceased in the driver's seat, then seal the gaps on the inside of the car door with tape, and place a charcoal stove in the passenger seat to burn charcoal."

"After doing all this, use a knife to cut the tape along the gap in the door on the passenger side. Then, vertically stick a layer of tape on the inside to cover the cut. Then, leave the car and pretend it's a secret room. Then, go back to Tokyo and find Uncle Mori to help you find a girlfriend. After he arrives, have Uncle Mori confirm that the door next to the driver's seat is sealed tightly. Then, smash the windshield and cut along the original cut again."

"Thanks to your scheme, Uncle Mori has been convinced that this was a suicide. If all goes well, you can escape successfully."

After hearing Hirakiyo's reasoning, Hondo Eisuke looked at Hirakiyo excitedly, "So that's how it is. You're amazing. You figured out the truth of the case so quickly."

As Sankaku Atsushi listened to Hirai Kiyoshi recount his crime in such detail, his heart raced. He couldn't believe someone could perfectly recreate his method in such a short time. Even the renowned detective Kogoro Mouri believed it to be a suicide.

He then sneered, "You make it sound so easy. Do you think this is a novel? You've said so much, but do you have any evidence?"

Ping Qing raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Of course! The deceased's bag contained a car cigarette lighter and a copy of the novel 'Dandy Jock,' which was just released today. The book had burn marks and no fingerprints. But the book cover that the deceased used to write a farewell message had your fingerprints, Mr. Triangle. You were so careful, you wiped away the fingerprints on the book but forgot about the book cover that your girlfriend hid."

"How can you be sure that's the book cover from the book in the car?"

Conan pointed to the address on the book cover, "We can go to the bookstore indicated on the book cover and ask. They should remember you, since you bought the novel this morning."
