Model worker and his little darling

Chapter 160 Could it be that Taira no Kiyoshi is actually the Imperial Deer?!

Hearing Haibara's words, Conan shook his head, "Who said there are no clues? The fact that they're here means they're going to take action against someone. I initially thought Gin's target was another group, but now it seems their target might be the same."

"Haibara, didn't you say before that Gin was always accompanied by Vodka? Why isn't Vodka with him the last two times I've met Gin? Could something have happened to the organization? Is Vodka dead?"

Upon hearing Conan's outrageous guess, Haibara silently turned and left.

Thinking about the people Conan described who were with Gin, she remembered one person: Mishika.

They had met a few times in the United States. He was about the same age as her and could disguise himself. Gin valued him highly, so it was normal for him to follow Gin on missions.

When she met with her sister, the members of the organization that were monitoring them secretly discussed them, and it sounded like the relationship between Gin and Mikasa was not quite normal.

Suddenly, Haibara remembered Hirai, who was about the same age as her, and most importantly, she sensed the organization's presence in him.

Could it be that Taira no Kiyoshi is actually Oshiro?!?

Haibara was startled by her own thought, her heart suddenly racing. This couldn't be, could it? If Taira no Kiyoshi was Mishika, she should have been discovered long ago.

Remembering what Conan had told her not long ago, she asked softly, "Is Ito Hirakiyo really an FBI agent?"

Conan was taken aback. Why was he suddenly asking about Hirai? "I accidentally found his identification, and I think it's genuine. Do you suspect he's part of the organization? Or maybe the guy who's with Gin?"

Haibara walked ahead with her head down. "No, I just suddenly thought of him."

Conan breathed a sigh of relief. "Hira Kiyoshi should have discovered my identity a long time ago, but I haven't been exposed yet, which means he's not a member of the organization."

As they talked, Conan's imagination ran wild, "Haibara, do you think Hiraikiyo might be an FBI mole planted in the organization? That would explain why he disappeared for several days and suddenly went out in the middle of the night. He must have gone on a mission."

Hearing Conan's guess, Haibara nodded slightly, "That's possible. Didn't you say you wanted to talk to him last time? How did it go?"

"At the last magician's gathering, he promised me we'd have a good talk after the case was over, but then he ran off with Kidd. I'm so angry. He hasn't been home for days, and I don't know when he'll be back."

Thinking of the smiles on Hirai and Kid's faces last time, Conan was so angry he gritted his teeth. Hirai, that liar.

Seeing Conan's sullen expression, Haibara frowned. "Does Ito Hirakiyoshi also know Kid?"

"Yes, they left together last time."

Haibara remained reserved about Conan's speculations, even though Hirai seemed genuinely sincere towards everyone and very patient with children, and could even be an FBI agent.

Thinking of the FBI, Haibara also thought of her sister's boyfriend, Dai Moroboshi, and Shuichi Akai of the FBI. She wondered if the man who had deceived her sister's feelings was still alive.

"I have no objection to you wanting to talk to Ito Hirakiyo, but I advise you not to reveal all your cards at once. Even the FBI is not entirely trustworthy."

"Why do you say that?" Conan asked, puzzled. Was the FBI not trustworthy?

"This is just my opinion."

Seeing Haibara's serious expression, Conan nodded, "Don't worry, I know what to do."

Shortly after the two returned to the three little ones, Inspector Megure arrived.

However, apart from a mysterious calculator and the detectives' one-sided accounts, there was no other evidence to prove that the sniping incident occurred, and there hadn't been any shooting-related cases recently, so Inspector Megure said he had no idea where to start.

"No way, please investigate more carefully. You might find the bullet on the other side of the river or in the riverbed."

Tsk, with Mihua's crime rate, if they really went to the river to fish, who knows what good stuff they might find.

"Unfortunately, these past few days have been a consecutive holiday, and most of the search personnel are on vacation. I'll take this calculator back and investigate it first."

Then he left with the calculator.

The three kids were quite unhappy that Inspector Megure didn't seem to take them seriously. But there was nothing they could do, so they had to use a code to go home and find their mothers.

They needed to decipher the code and show Inspector Megure that their Junior Detective Team wasn't just sitting around doing nothing.

After the three kids left, Haibara looked at Conan and said, "This time, there's an organized group involved. I advise you to stay calm, or it might end up like last time. They won't hold back, and you'd better never forget the feeling of being shot."

Seeing Haibara leave, Conan pursed his lips. After that incident, he knew he couldn't go head-to-head with the organization anymore. Didn't you see that he didn't chase after Gin last time?

Conan, holding the cipher, walked towards the agency, pondering its meaning as he went.

When Ran saw Conan drawing and writing after he returned, she curiously went over and asked, "Conan, what are you doing?"

Conan then recounted everything that had happened that day.

To everyone's surprise, the uncle realized this wasn't some deliberate code left behind; after all, the rooftop was such a historic place, what couldn't he find? So he started looking at a magazine nearby, which featured a travel advertisement for the Heisei Express.

Seeing Conan scratching his head frantically, Ran quickly joined him in thinking, offering her own ideas such as homophones or the numbers being the restaurant's address.

However, he was met with merciless ridicule from Uncle Mori.

Conan, determined not to give up on any idea, actually pinpointed a county road called 162 based on this clue.

The next day, at Ran's request, Uncle Mori rented a car and took Conan and the others around looking for the place indicated by the coded message.

Based on Uncle Mori's wild imagination, Conan needs to find a rooftop of a building located on County Route 162 that offers a view of the river and the road in the same direction.

In the end, Conan actually found a building under construction that met all the requirements.

So he immediately asked Uncle Mori to contact Inspector Megure, but Inspector Megure took the initiative to invite Mori to bring Conan to the police station over the phone.

"I've asked you to come here for no other reason than that a police officer and his girlfriend went missing while on vacation. He's now a missing police officer, and this is the man."

He then handed over a photo, and Conan, upon seeing it, exclaimed, "That's the man! He's the one who was on the rooftop with the rifle!"

"As expected, I took the fingerprints from the calculator and compared them to find out that he used to be an Olympic rifle shooter. I suspect those criminals kidnapped his girlfriend and threatened him to use a rifle to snipe someone. The key point is that if we don't know the time and place, we won't know where to start."

Upon hearing this, the three little ones immediately stood up, "We know that."

Inspector Megure was overjoyed upon hearing this and followed them to the building under construction, convinced that they had found the right place.
