As the syringe was advanced, the medicine inside slowly flowed into Tuhu's body until it was completely injected.

Shu Yin pulled out the syringe and took a few steps back.

Tuhu's eyes snapped open, his eyeballs now a gray blur. His arms stretched straight up, his body contorted in a bizarre posture, his bones cracking, and a hoarse growl emanating from his throat.

Shu Yin secretly watched this scene from behind the wardrobe, her face beaming with excitement. Before the 'initiator' even appeared, let it create chaos!

"Click." The sound of the door unlocking rang out.

Shu Yin panicked and glanced outside the door. Oh no, that old man's grandson is back! He opened the window without even looking out and jumped out.

"boom!"

"Ouch, who dug this hole? That's so wicked!" Shu Yin stood up from the bottom of the hole, supporting her back, and muttered angrily.

Tu Ying closed the door, picked up a bag of food, and went to the kitchen. The market was deserted; the vendors were gone, and he didn't want to go out again, so he simply packed some food, left some money, and came back.

As I opened the refrigerator and put the food in one by one, my mind was filled with a myriad of thoughts.

Last night he dreamed of his grandfather. In the dream, his grandfather was still so kind and gentle. He sat in a rocking chair, holding a teacup, and greeted him with a smile. "Eagle, come here quickly."

This was the first time he had dreamed of his grandfather in so long. He was overjoyed and rushed over, his eyes brimming with tears: "Grandpa, you've finally come to see Ying'er. Ying'er really missed you."

In the dream, the grandfather didn't speak, but just smiled and patted his head.

Tu Ying knelt on the ground and hugged Tu Hu's legs, his voice choked with sobs, "Grandpa, I'm sorry. It's all my fault for letting the wolf into the house and harming everyone, especially you."

Tuhu just smiled and shook his head, still not saying anything.

"Grandpa, do you blame Ying'er? That's why you've been unwilling to appear in my dreams all this time?"

Tuhu put down his teacup and said to him, "Good boy, play one last game of chess with Grandpa."

The game is over, and this time, Tu Ying lost.

“Eagle, life is like playing chess. Each event is a chess piece. You must be able to pick it up and put it down at the same time. Once the piece has been placed, you must not regret it. If you keep dwelling on the wrong move and worrying about the next move, you will only make more mistakes and ruin your original good situation, leading to a complete defeat.”

His grandfather's words were profound, and he remembered them even after waking up. He thought that his grandfather didn't want him to continue down this path, so he came to him in his dream to enlighten him.

He realized he should grow up now and stop relying on his grandfather; he should let his grandfather rest in peace...

This morning I dug a place in the backyard for my grandfather to live, right next to his original bedroom, so he can see me anytime he misses me.

From now on, he would let go of the past, slowly move forward, and step into a new life. Tu Ying walked towards Tu Hu's bedroom, preparing to say his final goodbye.

He pushed open the door and greeted him as usual, "Grandpa, it's me..."

Upon seeing the scene before him, Tu Ying froze, swallowing back the words he hadn't finished speaking.

Tuhu sat upright on the bed with his back to him.

Tu Ying was momentarily shocked, but a glimmer of hope rose in his heart. He had heard that if the dead were frozen, they might be resurrected many years later.

With anticipation in her heart, she slowly walked to Tuhu's side, raised her hand and patted his shoulder: "Grandpa..."

Tuhu stiffly and slowly turned his head, his mouth stretching wide to both sides of his cheeks, revealing sharp, saw-like teeth. His face was covered in bulging veins, and his skin was rotting, revealing chunks of blackened flesh.

"Ah!" Tu Ying cried out in fright and backed away.

Before he could escape, Tuhu reached out to him, and in an instant, the arm turned into a tentacle, piercing straight through Tuying's chest.

Tu Ying stared wide-eyed in disbelief, the last image in his mind's eye being the zombie-like Tu Hu, its blood-red maw gaping open as it lunged at him.

...

Shu Yin crawled out of the pit and lay panting on the edge. Suddenly, a shadow fell over him, and a drop of liquid dripped onto his head. He reached up and wiped it; it was blood.

He hurriedly looked up and saw the deranged Tu Hu staring at him with his head tilted, blood dripping from his mouth.

Shu Yin was so frightened that his back shuddered, and he quickly rolled over to avoid it. Just then, a tentacle slammed into the ground where he had been standing.

Shu Yin cursed angrily: "Damn it, I gave you a chance to come out and run around, and you still attack me? You've gone too far!"

Seeing the tentacles stabbing at him again, a blue light appeared in Shu Yin's eyes, and the tentacles that were stabbing at him stopped in front of him in an instant.

Shu Yin let out a long sigh of relief. She had almost been skewered like a candied hawthorn.

Shu Yin stood up, dusted off his clothes, and ordered the devastated Tu Hu, "Look closely at my face, remember what I look like, from now on you are not allowed to launch any attack on me, and you must absolutely obey my orders. Nod if you understand."

Tuhu nodded stiffly.

"Very well, from now on attack everyone you see except me, destroy anything you can, and wreak havoc to your heart's content!"

As soon as Shu Yin finished speaking, Tu Hu's tentacles began to smash wildly against the wall, and the trees and flowers in the backyard were all damaged.

Shu Yin laughed triumphantly and arrogantly: "Hahahahahaha..."

"Alright, what's the point of destroying this dilapidated yard? Now come with me."

...

The residents said goodbye to each other. Cang Xingyue planned to have Yu Sheng and the others take the residents to the West City Base, but they hadn't arrived yet, so she decided to go find them.

He walked up to Lu Siyan and said to him, "You stay here and keep an eye on things. I'll go find someone and come back in a bit."

"Who are you looking for? Should I secretly ask the Bird-Death Beast to deliver the message for you?"

"Forget it, don't believe it. It got robbed on the way. Just ask my friend and my brother, the ones you met last time."

He nodded: "Okay, then come back quickly."

"Understood. Remember to be careful what you say and don't reveal your identity," he reminded her before leaving.

As soon as Cang Xingyue stepped off the stage, a powerful electric current surged from her feet, instantly numbing her legs and causing her to collapse to the ground.

Lu Siyan looked worried: "A-Yue!"

Seeing that he was about to rush off the stage, Cang Xingyue quickly called out to him, "Don't come any closer! There's electricity here."

Wave after wave of electric shocks struck her, rendering her immobile. Her wounds healed rapidly, only to be injured and healed again in this repeated cycle.

Lu Siyan used his supernatural power to lift her up and bring her to his side, while simultaneously summoning an air shield to protect the two of them.

Lu Siyan used his healing power on Cang Xingyue's injuries, and asked softly, "Are you alright?"

The residents also asked with concern, "Commander, are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Someone is secretly trying to sabotage us. We need to be careful."

The zombie-like Tuhu stood on a dense tree, its tentacles reaching into the soil releasing electricity.

Shu Yin, hiding behind him, muttered under her breath, "Useless! Turn up the power!"

Damn it! I can't believe I didn't electrocute that annoying guy!
