Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland: The Female Protagonist Has Become a God

Chapter 41 Not recognizing the person right in front of you

Seeing him look over, she curled the corners of her lips and mouthed:

"Hi."

He indifferently shifted his gaze, looking down at the two barely clinging to life.

With a trembling voice, Yan Qi desperately questioned, "Who are you? Why are you killing us?!" His heart was filled with endless fear of the person before him.

He remained expressionless, not even sparing Yan Qi a glance, before raising his foot and stomping down hard, causing Yan Qi's head to explode like a watermelon.

His voice was cold: "Dead people don't need to know that much."

"what!"

The sound of bones breaking and flesh being crushed exploded in her ears, and San San Yao screamed in terror, her body trembling like a sieve.

"No, don't kill me, please, please... Waaah..."

He crouched down and slowly said, "Go beg my sister for mercy, and I'll send you down to see her as soon as possible!" With that, he plunged a knife into her heart.

He pulled out the knife and kicked her into the pile of zombies. "Here you go, eat it all up."

The zombies that were waiting nearby swarmed forward and devoured the two corpses.

Because of the distance, she couldn't hear what he said, but seeing his clean and efficient methods, she couldn't help but admire him.

He's a ruthless person.

Seeing that he was about to leave, she threw out a flame to block his way.

He frowned, glared at me with a cold face, clearly annoyed that his path was blocked.

She got up and walked closer to him, saying lazily, "Don't be in such a hurry to leave."

"What? You want to stand up for them?"

"No, no, no, I actually hate them. I'm actually quite happy to see them being tortured."

"So what? What do you mean by this?"

Looking at the Blood Cherry Blade in his hand, she said, "This blade isn't yours, is it?"

Upon hearing this, his fierce gaze quickly turned to her, and he gripped the knife tightly in his hand: "You want to take it? If you dare, I will definitely kill you!"

I just found his words laughable: "Rob? You're the one who's robbing!"

In an instant, a fierce circle of flames formed, enveloping the two of them.

He said sternly, "Speak! Where did you get this knife?! What did you do to the owner of this knife?!"

She had given the Blood Cherry Blade to Hei Bao, and now it had ended up in this man's hands.

"This knife is indeed not mine, but what's it to you? Are you here to die?"

"Ha, how arrogant! You won't speak honestly unless I teach you a lesson."

The circle of flames gradually contracted inwards, and she took a few steps back out of it.

The fierce flames softened when they touched her, and did not harm her in the slightest.

He ran outwards, but was instantly burned when he touched the flames, his skin turning charred black. Helpless, he could only stand inside the circle.

As the circle of flames shrank, he was already sweating profusely and panting heavily from the heat.

He sneered, "Aren't you going to tell me yet?"

"I must warn you, my flames are no ordinary fire. Once they touch you, they will burn you to ashes in less than three seconds."

As he spoke, he threw out a fireball, and in an instant, the group of zombies, including the corpses they were eating, turned to ashes.

Having witnessed the domineering and fierce power of the flames, he seemed unwilling, but had no choice but to submit.

He still needed to avenge his sister; he couldn't die.

"I said!"

The shrinking ring of fire stopped.

"The owner of the knife is dead."

"Did you kill him?"

"No! How could I kill my sister! She gave me this knife."

elder sister?

He looked him up and down in disbelief.

The person in front of me had fair skin, was very clean and tidy, was strong and handsome, and was an adult man.

Hei Bao was dirty, his skin was dark, he was thin and small, with messy hair and a smug look on his face, just a little kid.

She really couldn't connect the two.

He asked uncertainly, "What's your sister's name?"

"Azure Star Moon".

It was as if a bolt of lightning had struck her on the top of her head; she was utterly shocked.

Did I accidentally hit Hei Bao?

Her originally skinny younger brother has grown into a tall, adult man?!

Could it be that I've been dead for over a decade?!

But she felt like only a day had passed.

"Black Treasure?"

He looked over in surprise: "How do you know that name?"

He removed the veil: "Hei Bao, it's me."

When Hei Bao saw the familiar face in front of him, he was overjoyed and ran over to pick her up and spin her around.

"Sister, is that really you? You're not dead!"

"It's me, I'm not dead."

"I'm so happy to see my sister again!"

She smiled helplessly: "Alright, Blackie, put me down now."

He put her down, overjoyed: "Sister, am I dreaming?"

They pinched his waist, and he instantly winced in pain.

"Am I dreaming?"

"No, hehe."

Looking at the man who was a head taller than him, he asked:

"Hei Bao, how did you grow so big all of a sudden?"

"Sister, this is actually what I originally looked like. My original name was Qu Xingran."

"Before, it was because of a sudden mutation that it lost control and absorbed too much zombie energy. Its body couldn't handle it and it turned into a small, dark-skinned child."

"After becoming a child, I only had memories of my childhood. After that, Aunt Zhang took care of me and named me Hei Bao."

"I see. So where did your Aunt Zhang go?"

“When Aunt Zhang was escaping with me, she was unfortunately infected. Before she died, she made sure I was settled and then left to commit suicide.”

"Who is Aunt Zhang to you?"

“Aunt Zhang is my family’s housekeeper. She’s been with us since I was born. She’s very good to me, even better than my parents.”

Nodding, I felt a deep respect for Aunt Zhang.

Qu Xingran suddenly lowered her head, looking guilty.

"what happened?"

"Sister, I'm sorry. Actually, I'm the zombie king. Because I was by your side, I dragged you down and caused you to be hurt by that group of people."

"It's alright. It's not your fault that you didn't know. Besides, we already have a grudge. Even if it weren't for this, there would have been other reasons that caused the malice."

"So you took their lives to avenge me?"

"Yes! They hurt my sister, they all deserve to die!"

"Originally, after dealing with these two, I was going to go find Lu Yibei next, but you stopped me, sister."

He looked aggrieved, his hand still covering his burned arm.

A wave of guilt washed over me. I took his injured arm, my face full of concern, and bent down to blow on it.

"Does it still hurt? I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you. When I saw the knife in a stranger's hand, I thought you had been harmed, and I was a little angry."

"It's okay, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'll recover after absorbing a few more zombie energies."

He joked with a laugh, "If this continues, you'll probably absorb all the zombies."

He laughed and said, "No, my ability can replicate infinitely. If one is lost, I can make up for it with hundreds more."

After hearing his words, he said with a solemn expression:

"Don't tell anyone that you can infinitely replicate superpowers, and don't expose your status as the Zombie King, or you will be feared and brought to your death."

"I understand, sister. I'll keep it a secret."

As if remembering something, he added, "Hey kid, don't just randomly create zombies out of nowhere."

"Pfft, don't worry, sister, I was just saying."
