Han Jie looked Cang Xingyue up and down.

Fang Yanqing walked to the sofa in the rest area and sat down, instructing Han Jie, "Go and show him around."

"Alright, Base Commander, you rest first, I'll take him there." Han Jie agreed with a smile.

"You come with me."

Han Jie beckoned Cang Xingyue to the queuing area, took a number, and handed it to her.

"This is your number plate. After your ability is tested, it will be placed in the ability tier box and used to draw opponents or be drawn."

She glanced down and saw it was number 26.

Standing on the ring are numbers 18 and 21.

"They are both low-level ability users, so they were paired up to fight each other," Han Jie explained to her.

Cang Xingyue nodded.

Han Jie suddenly leaned closer to her and asked in a gossipy voice, "What's your relationship with the base commander?"

She glanced back at Fang Yanqing, who was resting with his eyes closed.

"It's alright, we just met." She was a little puzzled as to why Han Jie would ask such a question, but she still answered truthfully.

"Oh? Is that so? The base commander has never personally brought anyone here before. I thought you were acquaintances." Han Jie said with some surprise.

"What kind of person is your base commander?" She was still somewhat curious about this base commander.

Han Jie thought for a moment, "Unpredictable, kind yet ruthless, gentle yet cold, powerful and handsome." He nodded, "Well, that's all I know about the base commander."

"Judging from your description, the background of your base commander is quite complicated."

Han Jie chuckled dryly: "How could we possibly know the base commander so well?"

At this moment, the audience in the arena cheered. Looking in the direction of the sound, they saw that number 18, one of the superhumans who had just fought, was being dragged away, barely alive.

Standing on the platform, number 21, barely able to hold onto the railing, cheered excitedly, "I won! I won!"

All eyes were on the victor, cheering for him. Cang Xingyue thought of number 18 who had just been dragged away, and felt that he was on his last breath.

Unexpectedly, Han Jie just smiled indifferently: "That's their own choice. They can choose not to participate in the assessment."

“The victor has no reason to pity the defeated.” Han Jie turned to look at her. “Since you were personally brought here by the base commander, he must think highly of you. Don’t let him down.”

Upon hearing his words, Cang Xingyue thought to herself: I don't care if he's disappointed or not.

She didn't say anything more, she just looked at the ring.

Now, number 19 stands on the stage. He walks to the mid-level ability box, reaches out and draws a number plate, which is number 23.

Number 23, who was chosen, also stepped onto the stage. The two shook hands amicably before starting their duel.

Their superpowers were only released on the arena, leaving the area outside completely unaffected, as if a transparent glass barrier separated them.

"I haven't asked your name yet. My name is Han Jie, and I'm the stadium manager here," he said.

"Cang Yunyang".

Han Jie nodded, and the two remained silent for a while.

"Alright, Cang Yunyang, you come with me to test your abilities first, and we'll determine your levels so we can assign opponents later."

"Okay." He turned his gaze away from the arena.

Han Jie led him to a small room with a circular testing platform and several monitors next to it.

"You can just stand on that."

Following his instructions, Han Jie stood on the platform and tapped a few times on the screen. A blue light illuminated the testing platform, scanning her body.

The scan stopped after about ten seconds, and the testing station lit up with a red light.

Han Jie was so shocked by the red light that he couldn't speak.

"You...this..."

Cang Xingyue stepped down from the testing table, looking puzzled: "What's wrong?"

"Are you crazy?" Han Jie raised his hand to give her a flick on the forehead, but remembering her supernatural ability, he stopped abruptly.

Seeing his actions, Cang Xingyue glanced at him and asked quietly, "Are you trying to hit me?"

Han Jie quickly lowered his hand and looked away guiltily, saying, "What are you talking about? I was just stretching my arm."

"What kind of status does the base commander have? Why would he possibly get involved in a fight with you? Besides, the base commander is the core of the base. If anything were to happen to him, no one could bear the responsibility."

Cang Xingyue teased, "That's perfect, he'll be laid off, and I can be the base chief."
