All realms have enabled me to achieve the Great Dao.

Back in the Heavenly Court of the Journey to the West world, Zhou Yongcheng stopped caring about what Sun Wukong did. Now that he knew his fate, it was up to him to make his own choices.

Zhou Yongcheng also wanted to help the monkey, but unfortunately his own cultivation level was low. After years of cultivation, he had only reached the Celestial Immortal realm.

In the Heavenly Court, a Celestial Immortal would be nothing more than a lowly soldier, unable to help him. He was unwilling to go to other worlds, and Zhou Yongcheng was helpless.

And so Zhou Yongcheng continued to cultivate in Sun Wukong's mansion, occasionally venturing into the unknown world to find medicinal herbs to refine pills, materials to forge weapons, and studying formations. He lived a very comfortable life.

Not many days later, Sun Wukong returned to his residence.

"Let's go back to Flower Fruit Mountain."

"Great Sage, you're quitting?"

"I'm quitting. Even the Jade Emperor has agreed."

So Zhou Yongcheng used his supernatural transformation technique to turn into a small creature and hide on Sun Wukong's body.

Upon leaving the Heavenly Court, Sun Wukong appeared directly at Flower Fruit Mountain.

"We're here. Come out now."

Zhou Yongcheng looked at the beautiful Huaguo Mountain. It turned out that there was also innate spiritual energy here, but it was very thin. He jumped off Sun Wukong and turned back.

"This place is nice."

"Of course, let's go to my old Sun's Water Curtain Cave."

Then Sun Wukong shouted, "I, Old Sun, am back!"

Many monkeys jumped out from all around the mountain and talked to Sun Wukong. The monkeys who could talk were all quite powerful.

Zhou Yongcheng followed Sun Wukong to the Water Curtain Cave. The innate spiritual energy here was decent, but it was far inferior to that of the Heavenly Court; they were not even in the same league.

The fact that Huaguo Mountain could give birth to Sun Wukong shows that this is no ordinary place; it must be at least a blessed land. In addition, there is innate spiritual energy here, so there must be innate spiritual veins. It's just unknown whether we can dig out innate spiritual stones.

Inside the Water Curtain Cave, Sun Wukong dismissed his monkey followers and then chatted with Zhou Yongcheng.

"I forgot to ask you before, how do you know so much about our world?"

“In our world, there is a powerful being who can travel freely through all the heavens and myriad worlds. His primordial spirit left his body and came to your world. Through the long river of time and space, he saw what was happening in your world and wrote a book called Journey to the West. That powerful being is Wu Cheng’en.”

Zhou Yongcheng is spouting nonsense with a straight face.

"In that case, your world must be full of powerful beings. No wonder your cultivation technique is so powerful. Even I, Old Sun, cannot see through your transformation techniques."

"Anyone in our world who can write down what happens in other worlds is a god, on the same level as the god Pangu."

"how about you?"

"I'm still traveling through different worlds. My cultivation level is too low to freely roam the river of time and space. When I can roam the river of time and space in other worlds, I can write a book about everything I see in the river of time and space."

The two then discussed how to close the mountain and prevent people from leaving Flower Fruit Mountain.

Western Spirit Mountain.

The people of Heaven told them that Sun Wukong had quit, and that he had returned to Flower Fruit Mountain. They said that Heaven would not concern itself with what Sun Wukong should do next, and that Buddha should handle it himself.

Originally, it was a pre-arranged plan: Sun Wukong would wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace, and Buddha would come to suppress him. But now, the Peach Banquet proceeded as planned, and Sun Wukong didn't cause any trouble. Apart from eating a few peaches in the Peach Orchard, he diligently guarded it. It seems he found guarding the Peach Orchard too boring, so he quit and went home to laze around.

The Heavenly Court was initially very reluctant to let Sun Wukong wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace. Why not let Sun Wukong wreak havoc on Mount Ling? Well, what could they do? The Buddha offered so much, so the Heavenly Court reluctantly agreed.

But who knew that Sun Wukong wouldn't follow the script? The original plan wouldn't work, and the Heavenly Court breathed a sigh of relief. It was better not to do something that would damage the Heavenly Court's prestige.

The Jade Emperor was very pleased that Sun Wukong didn't follow the script, so he naturally turned the page on the story of the havoc in the Heavenly Palace, pretending it never happened, and let Buddha handle it himself.

Even Buddha himself couldn't have imagined that things, which were going so smoothly, would suddenly change like this.

So Buddha began to deduce, but when he did, he found that there was a mysterious force blocking Sun Wukong's way, and no matter how he tried to deduce, he could not continue.

Could a sage have intervened? Could it be the one who was trying to stop the Journey to the West?

Since Buddha couldn't handle it, he had to go to his superiors. He went to the palace of the two Western Saints in the Outer Heaven and told them about Sun Wukong.

The two Western Saints looked towards the Immortal Realm and towards Flower Fruit Mountain.

I saw Sun Wukong, but he seemed to be talking to himself.

Turning their attention away, the two Western Saints began to deduce the future of Sun Wukong. Like Buddha, they too were hindered by some unknown force and could not predict his fate.

How could that be? They had Sun Wukong all figured out before, how could things have changed like this now?

If Tongtian were the one pulling the strings behind the scenes, they would definitely be able to deduce it. But it seems that Tongtian isn't the one behind it.

"You go back first, let's look into it."

Even the two sages couldn't save face. There aren't many things that can make a sage lose face, but now they've encountered one.

The Buddha left the outer heavens and returned to Mount Ling.

Meanwhile, in the Tushita Palace, Laozi also learned about Sun Wukong's situation.

He also wanted to see who was doing good deeds, but unfortunately he couldn't figure it out.

Journey to the West marked the beginning of the great rise of Buddhism, something that Taoism was unwilling to see, but had no choice but to carry out. It was an order from the Taoist Ancestor that had to be carried out. This was a great calamity, and also the end of a karmic debt. It was the karmic debt from when the two Western Saints were asked to intervene at the beginning of the Investiture of the Gods, and it had to be settled.

The change in the Journey to the West is something that everyone in the Taoist sect hopes to see. Although they cannot stop the Journey to the West, they will not interfere. As for others who want to disrupt the Journey to the West, they will not stop them, nor will they help the West to deal with this matter.

If the Journey to the West had succeeded, the Taoist sect would have lost immeasurable amount of merit and fortune.

Zhou Yongcheng and Sun Wukong were unaware of what had happened at Mount Ling and in the Heavenly Court. The two chatted and cultivated in the Water Curtain Cave, feeling quite at ease.

That day, Zhou Yongcheng was telling Sun Wukong the story of Swallowing the Stars when a little monkey came in and said that Tongbei Monkey had come to see him.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yongcheng quickly said to Sun Wukong, "The Tongbei Monkey may be an incarnation of Guanyin. You must be careful and not listen to anything he says. Think about who suggested you seek immortality and cause havoc in the underworld. Do not mention me to him. I will disappear for a while. I may not be coming back during this time. Take care of yourself."

After Zhou Yongcheng finished speaking, he disappeared. Sun Wukong was furious, but more than that, he felt helpless, as those from the West had already come knocking on his door.

Not long after, the monkey with the long back arrived at the Water Curtain Cave. He looked around but found nothing unusual about Sun Wukong.

"Your Majesty, the Heavenly Court is so wonderful, why have you returned?"

"No, no, being an official is too unbearable. I, Old Sun, still prefer the days in Flower Fruit Mountain."

"Your Majesty, I've heard that the peaches of immortality in Heaven are incredibly delicious. Won't you take your monkey subjects to see them?"

Upon hearing this, the monkeys around all wanted the king to take them to eat peaches.

Sun Wukong wanted to get angry, but thinking that he probably couldn't beat this guy, he said, "The peaches of immortality in Heaven have already been distributed by the Queen Mother to all the immortals in Heaven. If you want to eat peaches of immortality, you will have to wait a thousand years. I, Old Sun, have decided to go into seclusion and cultivate for a thousand years. Don't disturb me in any way."

After saying this, Sun Wukong entered his usual secluded cultivation room, sealed the entrance, and began his secluded cultivation.

The macaque was dumbfounded. What happened? How did the monkey change its nature?
