Orc Undead Sports Warrior
Chapter 1 The Unexpected Transmigrator
2007, Yinchuan City, Ningcheng, Aohai Stadium.
It is a cool spring season, a time when all things burst forth with vitality. Winter has just passed, and life begins a new cycle.
At 9 a.m., the stadium was already filled with the cheers and shouts of the spectators. In preparation for the National Track and Field Championships to be held in Shanghai in June, all the athletes from Ningcheng will compete here for three days to vie for a place in the competition.
Today is the first day of the qualifying competition, and the stadium is quite crowded. Because leaders from the Municipal Sports Bureau were attending the morning matches, the organizers provided many complimentary tickets to relevant organizations and students from Ningcheng University before the competition. These organizations did not refuse, and by 8:30 this morning, the stadium, which can hold 20,000 people, was more than half full. Including sports enthusiasts who bought tickets nearby, the crowd was already quite large.
After a brief opening ceremony at 8:30, the leaders of the General Administration of Sport gave speeches. After a short speech, the official competition finally began.
To get the audience excited, the first event was the men's 100-meter preliminary round. However, Ningcheng's track and field strength is relatively weak compared to the rest of the country. There weren't many high-level athletes in this event. In the first heat, only the top two runners barely managed to finish in the 10s. Nevertheless, the audience was very enthusiastic; sprint events are the easiest way to ignite the passion of the entire crowd.
"Athletes participating in the second heat of the 100-meter preliminary round, please assemble at the competition venue. The 800-meter preliminary round will be held after the 100-meter preliminary round. Please proceed to the technical table for check-in as soon as possible."
At that moment, a tall, handsome young man carrying a shoulder bag walked into the stadium. Looking at the scene before him, he smiled helplessly.
The young man's name is Lu Wei. He is a student at the School of Physical Education of Ningcheng University. Before university, he majored in the 400-meter race. He benefited from the shortage of talent in this event and, with his good performance in the physical test and competition, he was admitted to the School of Physical Education and became one of the many college students.
After entering university, Lu Wei didn't focus all his energy on improving his athletic performance; instead, he made the most of his university life. It's not that he was passive in training; he worked very hard during training, as evidenced by his tall and toned physique.
However, as everyone knows, training sessions only provide the foundation; to significantly improve athletic performance, one needs to be fully committed. Therefore, it's easy to understand why Lu Wei's grades haven't improved much since he entered school.
However, no one knew that something extraordinary had happened to this ordinary college student.
As soon as Lu Wei entered the stadium tunnel, he suddenly felt his body burning, as if a scorching flame was burning inside him. He began to convulse in pain. The people around him were startled by his appearance, and one girl screamed.
"Oh no... someone help! He's having seizures! Could it be a heart attack? Oh my god, he's going to die! How terrifying!"
As the girl screamed, people nearby gathered around and carried Lu Wei into the infirmary.
Because the provincial track and field championships were to be held, the organizers specially invited a doctor from the city who specializes in sports injuries to work at the medical clinic. This competition is considered a large-scale track and field event in Ningcheng. If an athlete were injured and could not receive timely treatment, it would not only negatively impact Ningcheng but also damage the organizers' reputation.
So it's better to be safe than sorry. But unexpectedly, someone was carried in right after the competition had just started.
After Lu Wei was carried into the infirmary, his convulsions gradually subsided. He was still muttering in his sleep, "Can a lowly orc like me receive your blessing?"
"What is he saying? I didn't hear wrong, did I? He said he is a lowly orc."
"Could it be that he played World of Warcraft all night and his body couldn't take it, causing him to faint?"
"Hey, look how tall and handsome he is, it's such a shame if he gets so addicted to games..."
A large crowd had gathered in the infirmary, pointing at Lu Wei and discussing his sudden convulsions and delirium after fainting.
"Don't crowd in the medical room. The patient suddenly fainted, so we need to keep the environment well-ventilated!" With that, the doctor on duty ushered everyone out of the medical room.
"Have you noticed how hot this nurse is today? She has plenty of curves in all the right places, and not an ounce of fat in the wrong places."
"Oh dear, I hadn't seen enough yet, I wanted to take one more look. Now that kid is really lucky. How did he manage to faint at such the right time? Did he scout the place beforehand?"
After exchanging a few words, everyone dispersed to continue watching the game, since there were medical professionals here who were far more skilled than themselves.
About ten minutes later, Lu Wei slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was the white ceiling and walls, and the machine running beside the bed. The machine displayed various data from before; since it was connected to his body, the data it displayed must have originated from his own body.
Strangely, I was able to understand the meaning of this data: heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure. I had never seen this machine before, yet I could now comprehend the meaning of these numbers.
Lu Wei was astonished to find that his mind had been injected with many memories he had never had before, many of which were fleeting glimpses of knowledge he had never heard of before. Even the most knowledgeable prophet in the tribe probably didn't possess such a wealth of knowledge.
In addition, there is a memory of human origins in my mind, with events from childhood to adulthood described in great detail.
The person inside the machine was clearly a human being, but that person was himself.
Lu Wei felt very confused, wondering how he had come to this world, which was far beyond his previous understanding. He had thought he might have been rescued by the human race, but this person's memories were completely different from the world he had lived in before.
He began to desperately search his mind for memories of his past life, only remembering that his tribe and the Burning Legion were engaged in a fierce battle in the forest. The battle was brutal; he watched as his last comrade was killed by the Burning Legion and cleaved in two, while he himself stood alone in a pool of blood, covered in wounds.
However, what is worth being proud of is that even knowing he was about to die in battle, he was not afraid. A true orc is never afraid in a life-or-death situation.
Just as he swung his battle axe and launched his final charge, a massive vortex suddenly appeared in front of him, filled with endless sounds that seemed to deafen him...
