Reborn in Liangshan: I built the strongest lineup

Chapter 9 Three Arrows Secure Liangshan (Part 3)

The water is in Liangshan.

To be honest, the 800-li (400 km) stretch of water is indeed a natural and beautiful place.

The mountains surged like towering waves, the waters reached the sky, and within the eight-hundred-mile-long Liangshan Marsh lay a hundred thousand soldiers. Without a siege by tens of thousands of troops, it would be impossible to capture them. As long as they hid in the lake and didn't emerge, no matter how many armies they faced, they would remain unmoved. (Historically, Liangshan Marsh truly stretched for eight hundred miles; I've explained this in a later chapter, which you can read later or research directly.)

At this moment, at the foot of Liangshan Mountain, in front of the Golden Beach, a group of merchants of about 120 or 130 people were standing there, looking at the lake.

After all, everyone knows that this will be their base of operations in the future.

I must say, this is a great place!

At the very front of the procession were five figures on horseback.

“Brother, why don’t we just charge straight in? With your and Yuan Lang’s bravery, Wang Lun is no match for us.”

Zhu Gui moved closer to Ren Yuan and asked.

"No rush. With such a commotion, Wang Lun should already know, unless he's blind. He'll probably show up with his men soon."

Ren Yuan rode on a tall, fine horse, a gift from Chai Jin. Although not the absolute best, it was still quite extraordinary.

"Song Wan, how's the troop organization going?"

Along the way, Ren Yuan had already done a simple process of incorporating and intimidating the entire group, especially the servants brought from Chai Jin's manor.

At the beginning, they weren't particularly convinced of Ren Yuan's abilities, and some of the troublemakers even tried to provoke him. Ren Yuan, however, boldly declared that he could take on a whole group of them by himself.

After he easily took down forty or fifty men with his bare hands, the villagers were finally convinced and gradually became loyal to him.

"Don't worry, brother. Everyone is looking forward to getting rid of Wang Lun as soon as possible so that we can enter this big village ourselves."

Looking at the vast expanse of water, Song Wan was deeply impressed. No wonder his brother offered 50% of the profits to Master Chai in exchange for this place; indeed, his brother's vision was unmatched by most people.

It can be used for both offense and defense, and it is easy to defend but difficult to attack!

This is Liangshan!

"Dang-dang-dang!"

While everyone was discussing, suddenly more than twenty small boats appeared on the water, each carrying more than ten people. The leading boat carried two flags, one for Liangshan and the other for the white-robed scholar Wang Lun.

"I heard there are only three to five hundred people on this mountain, but Wang Lun has called most of them down."

Zhu Fu silently counted the number of people in his mind and said to his older brother.

"Hmph, what's the use of calling more people? This time, I've come with a letter from Master Chai, so it's perfectly reasonable for me to come and change places. If Wang Lun knows what's good for him, fine. But if he doesn't, do you think my three-pointed double-edged sword is just for show?"

Having followed Ren Yuan for a long time, Zhu Gui naturally knew how formidable Ren Yuan was, so he didn't take someone like Wang Lun seriously.

He came here today mainly to see where it would be suitable to open a hotel, because Ren Yuan had already told him that after he went up the mountain, Zhu Gui would be in charge of all the hotels in the village, to gather information and welcome guests.

"Everyone, give Master Chai some face and step back thirty paces in an orderly manner."

When Ren Yuan saw the ships heading towards him, he ordered everyone to retreat thirty paces.

"Ta Tata..."

Surprisingly, this team, after its initial integration, did not panic much and maintained its formation as it began to retreat.

At this time, Wang Lun's team had not yet landed.

“Brother, this former official is not a good person, and he also has a letter from Master Chai. There is no need for us to confront him directly.”

On the lead boat, Du Qian was trying to persuade Wang Lun.

"Hmph! On what grounds?"

Wang Lun's face was gloomy at this moment. "I have been waiting on the mountain for more than half a year and finally gathered all these belongings. A letter tells me to give them up. How can I, Wang Lun, have the face to live in the martial arts world!"

"But brother, that Optimus Prime Ren Yuan is no pushover..."

Du Qian had heard of Ren Yuan's reputation and knew that with his and Wang Lun's mediocre skills, they were no match for him!

But Wang Lun was arrogant and intolerant of others, so when he saw Chai's letter, he flew into a rage and tore the letter to shreds!

He also verbally abused Chai Jin, using extremely offensive language.

To be fair, Du Qian felt that although Ren Yuan's actions this time were not good, the fact that he was informed and discussed in advance, and that Master Chai even guaranteed to fund the exchange of villages, was much better than directly attacking them.

If you've all joined the bandit gang and your skills are inferior, and your stronghold gets captured, there's nothing to say about that.

"Hmph, I'll see what he's really made of. Look, they've retreated now that we're gone! This Optimus Prime is probably just a figurehead. Pass down the order, get ashore immediately!"

Du Qian couldn't persuade him. Wang Lun was in a fit of anger and probably didn't notice, but Du Qian could tell that although the group on the shore had fewer people than his own, their retreat was quite methodical.

Clearly, the visitor was up to no good, and Du Qian felt he should stay away from Wang Lun.

Soon, Wang Lun led his men ashore. Once ashore, they crowded together in a chaotic mess, and it took them a while to settle down and face Ren Yuan and the others.

"Who goes there! Why do you dare to invade Liangshan!"

Wang Lun, holding a sword, pointed at Ren Yuan and the others and roared angrily.

"Chief Wang, stop pretending to be ignorant. Master Chai's letter should have arrived by now. You've already led most of the mountain stronghold down the mountain, so let's get straight to the point."

"I've got my eye on this bandit camp. Are you going to let me have it or not?"

Ren Yuan showed no respect to Wang Lun, stepping forward directly with domineering words.

"Hmph! Ren Yuan! I was the first to arrive at Liangshan, why should I give it to you! First come, first served, don't you understand?"

Wang Lun's face had turned black.

"Wang Lun, this precious land of Liangshan belongs to the virtuous. Although you came first, look at the mess you've made of it!"

"I'm not going to disregard the rules of the martial world. If you hand over the stronghold to me, I'll give you a cartload of gold and silver!"

Ren Yuan ordered someone to push a cart onto the road, which was indeed filled with gold and silver.

"You bastard! Do you think I, Wang Lun, am a beggar? Ren Yuan, you've gone too far!"

When Wang Lun saw the gold and silver, a glint of greed flashed in his eyes, but his face remained furious. After looking around, he shouted, "Whoever takes Ren Yuan's head will be the third leader! He will be rewarded with fifty taels of silver!"

As soon as Wang Lun finished speaking, two men rushed out from behind him, one wielding a long knife and the other a large axe. Riding on inferior horses, they yelled and charged straight at Ren Yuan.

Both of them were notorious troublemakers in the neighborhood, and Wang Lun took them in as his confidants.

"Brother, take a rest. Let me do it. Consider it my first contribution."

Ren Yuan was about to make a move when Yuan Lang stopped him.

Beware of hidden weapons.

Ren Yuan trusted Yuan Lang completely, but still gave him some instructions.

"Don't worry, brother. These two are no match for you."

Yuan Lang also has his own pride. He admits that he can't beat Ren Yuan, but as for the others, hmph.

Yuan Lang, holding a steel mace in each hand, faced the two extras head-on.

"clang!"

In the instant the weapons clashed, Yuan Lang remained completely still, while the two men's hands were split open, blood gushing out, and their weapons flew high into the air!

"Bang! Bang!"

Yuan Lang didn't give the two men a chance to react. He swung his arm and smashed their heads twice! The bloody scene silenced the Liangshan side.

Wang Lun's face was a kaleidoscope of colors, like a dye shop in full bloom.

"Are there any more people from Liangshan coming up?"

After his victory, Yuan Lang raised his double maces and challenged Liangshan.

Wang Lun dared not respond and could only turn around and hide in the ranks.

But Ren Yuancai wouldn't let him succeed.

Grabbing the iron bow from the side of the saddle, Ren Yuan also spurred his horse into battle.

"Wang Lun, if you want to leave now, first ask the arrow in my hand if it will allow it!"
