Ruan Qian'an realized that's why she followed her; it turned out she was anxious to avenge Bai Ziqing.

Qin Ru didn't know how long she paddled; her arms ached, and finally she could vaguely see what the land in front of her looked like.

Qin Ru excitedly threw down the pulp in her hand and shouted to Ruan Qian'an, "We're almost there! We're almost there!"

Ruan Qian'an slowly sat up, stretched, and said, "We've finally arrived. You were rowing too slowly."

Qin Ru made faces at Ruan Qian'an, thinking that Ruan Qian'an couldn't see them anyway.

Qin Ru was unaware that they were actually traveling at a very high speed; otherwise, she didn't know how long it would have taken her to reach this place by paddling with her bare hands.

If Qin Ru hadn't been on the boat, Ruan Qian'an would have sailed even faster, but she slowed down to avoid startling Qin Ru.

Ruan Qian'an stood up and stood at the bow of the boat. He pretended to look at the shore, but in reality, he couldn't see anything.

The two arrived at an abandoned dock. Qin Ru approached and saw many abandoned boats swaying in the bleak, cold wind.

The small wooden boat slowly ran aground on the land, with layers of ice piled up on it. The boat's impact made the sound of ice shattering.

Ruan Qian'an was the first to jump out of the boat and step into the icy seawater.

Qin Ru, carrying the box, followed closely behind Ruan Qian'an and jumped off the boat.

The two quietly slipped into the dark city. Qin Ru looked around and saw rows of low, closely connected houses, dilapidated and resembling a slum.

There are also tall buildings, but they are closely spaced together. The handrails of the stairs leading up are rusty and creak when blown by the wind. There are tangled wires and corrugated iron eaves. Yet, the place is full of life. The inhabitants are the original inhabitants of this place.

As the two passed through the area, a tall, dark, wall-like structure appeared before them. There was no door and no one guarding it.

Qin Ru followed Ruan Qian'an into this place. It was completely different from the dilapidated place outside. This place was full of a strong sense of technology.

Although it is full of technology, it is also interspersed with dilapidated buildings, preserving its original flavor. The combination of these two elements adds to its mystery and darkness.

The powerful impact caused Qin Ru's eyes to widen instantly.

The scene was so shocking; the two scenes were a stark contrast, something she had never seen before.

Qin Ru couldn't help but turn around to look, but the shock of it all failed to pique the interest of those outside.

Qin Ru turned back and looked at the people inside. They were carrying all sorts of weapons, many of which Qin Ru had never seen before.

Some people were dressed strangely, but they all hurried along, doing their own thing without lingering.

Skyscrapers stand tall, like silent giants, while red and blue lights outline the boundaries of despair. Prosperity and decay, technology and retro, create a bizarre and surreal world.

It contains darkness and hides many secrets, adding to its mystique.

The surface shimmers with the afterglow of neon lights, but it cannot conceal the decay and chaotic undercurrents beneath.

Ruan Qian'an said to Qin Ru, "Later, you can ask around about what you need to know, and then after we pass through the Dark City, you can go back to the Bai family."

Qin Ru: "Won't this take up your time?"

Ruan Qian'an said, "No, I also need to go and inquire about some things."

Qin Ru nodded obediently.

Ruan Qian'an led Qin Ru around, and Qin Ru, holding the urn, looked around like a curious child.

Qin Ru: "Qian'an, I feel like you're very familiar with this place."

"Moreover, Ling Shu said this place is very dangerous, but I don't feel it's dangerous at all. It's a bit of an exaggeration."

Ruan Qian'an smiled faintly: "The danger lurking in the shadows is something you cannot bear."

Then, jokingly, he added, "Stay close to me and don't get lost, or I won't save you if you get scammed."

Qin Ru looked at the place, pursed her lips, and said, "Is there anything wrong with this?"

Ruan Qian'an led Qin Ru to a shop in front of them. This shop was strange because there were no other buildings around it.

It was a very dilapidated house, unlike the others which were tall and imposing. It had a completely retro look and was made of solid wood.

Ruan Qian'an pushed open the door and went in. The door creaked open, followed by a series of clear and pleasant tinkling sounds from the door.

Ruan Qian'an and the other person went in one after the other.

The people drinking inside all turned to look at the direction outside the door, watching Ruan Qian'an and her companion warily for a moment.

Ruan Qian'an frowned slightly, but didn't pay much attention, and walked inside.

Those people quickly looked away, and Qin Ru unconsciously moved a little closer to Ruan Qian'an.

Ruan Qian'an walked to the wooden bench, sat down, and said to the waiter inside, "I want yin-yang water."

The waiter standing inside looked Ruan Qian'an up and down and said, "You can't afford it."

Then they tried to drive Ruan Qian'an away, and even tried to shove the two of them.

Qin Ru slammed her fist on the table and stepped forward, saying, "It's just a bottle of wine! Who can't afford it!"

The people nearby all picked up their weapons and pointed them at Ruan Qian'an and the others' heads.

Qin Ru looked at the group of fierce-looking people and took a slight step back.

Ruan Qian'an shielded Qin Ru behind him and said to the man, "Let Yin Yang come out."

The waiter inside chuckled: "Is 'Yin Yang' something you can just call anyone?"

Ruan Qian'an frowned: "You'll know whether I'm qualified or not once you let her out."

His cool words carried a chilling undertone: "I really don't want to fight you."

The waiter said with a hint of disdain, "Alright then, you'll have to pay a price to see our boss."

"That's our store's rule."

Ruan Qian'an: "I know, so let your boss come out."

Waiter: "You haven't said what price you're willing to pay yet."

Ruan Qian'an: "The price shouldn't be set by your boss. Who do you think you are? Or do you want to replace your boss?"

Waiter: "I see you're going to have to suffer the consequences of your refusal to listen to reason."

The waiter looked Ruan Qian'an up and down and said, "I think we should just take these hands away."

“Our boss loves beautiful things.” He finished speaking and gave a sinister laugh.

Ruan Qian'an remained silent. How could she not know that Yin Yang had this fetish? She narrowed her eyes and said, "It's you who has this fetish."

Ruan Qian'an didn't want to get entangled with him any longer and tried to leave with Qin Ru.

At the waiter's command, the group moved closer to Ruan Qian'an, threatening her that if she made a single move, she would be killed.

Forced to stop, Ruan Qian'an said, "What do you think this is, a place where you can come and go as you please?"

He pulled off his apron and said, "Grab them."

Ruan Qian'an pushed Qin Ru to sit on the sofa next to him and said, "Stay put and don't cause any trouble."

Ruan Qian'an lowered her hand and a dagger appeared from her sleeve.

She grabbed a dagger and started fighting with those people. Although they had guns, they didn't dare to actually fire.

They were afraid that if they messed up the tavern, they would be in big trouble.

In no time, Ruan Qian'an had them all under control. She stepped on the waiter's face and said, "Call Yin Yang right now."

The waiter stood up shakily, picked up the phone next to him, and started making a call.

"Boss...someone's here to cause trouble!"

Ruan Qian'an frowned and knocked the waiter unconscious with a karate chop, then sat down on the sofa next to Qin Ru.

Qin Ru: "Aren't we going to run?"

Ruan Qian'an wiped the dagger: "No, aren't we still trying to find out more?"

Qin Ru: "Wouldn't it be troublesome if they came with their men to surround us later?"

Ruan Qian'an: "It's nothing."

......

A long-haired woman, with one side of her hair black and the other white, led a group of people to surround the tavern.

She pushed open the door and walked in, saying, "Who dares to cause trouble on my turf?"

Ruan Qian'an, quite pleased with himself, played with the dagger in his hand and said to the person who came in, "Your shop's way of treating guests is quite unique."
