The First National Preceptor of the Tang Dynasty

Chapter 1221
King Yinglan's words had a hidden meaning: he meant that Xu Tian shouldn't come anymore, because if he did, he would really fall ill.
Xu Tian smiled helplessly and said, "Brother Yinglan, I've brought a renowned doctor with me, so please take a look."
King Yinglan hesitated for a moment, but agreed after thinking for about ten seconds. He believed that Xu Tian should know that he was really sick and needed to rest for a few days, so that Xu Tian would feel embarrassed to continue coming.
So the renowned physician stepped forward to treat King Yinglan. His expression was grave as he said, "My lord, your pulse is erratic. Have you been drinking?"
In fact, the divine physician had just diagnosed the King of Yinglan and discovered that his cold was caused by taking certain medications. However, the physician did not reveal this directly but instead took a roundabout approach.
King Yinglan was momentarily flustered, but then a smile appeared on his face.
“Yes, I drank alcohol just now, you should be able to smell it,” said King Yinglan, believing that the divine physician knew it by smelling the alcohol.
"No, I knew it from the pulse." The divine physician answered truthfully, but noticed that King Yinglan's expression was somewhat unpleasant.
King Yinglan was puzzled, suspecting that the divine physician was deliberately deceiving him.
"It seems this renowned doctor truly has remarkable skills!" King Yinglan sneered, his eyes filled with disdain.
"It's just a minor illness, nothing to worry about," King Yinglan said, then abruptly pulled his hand back.
Xu Tian stopped Yinglan Wang's hand and said solemnly, "No, no, it's not right to ignore an illness and refuse treatment."
"Little brother, just let go!" King Yinglan said helplessly, feeling that Xu Tian was really difficult to deal with.
"The doctor in the manor said that I only need to rest for a few days. How can I rest peacefully when you are bothering me like this?"
King Yinglan asked a question in return, looking at Xu Tian who had a wicked smile on his face.
He had a bad feeling, but he managed to calm himself down.
"Alright, I need to rest now. Little brother, take your men and leave," said King Yinglan. "Your presence here is truly worsening my condition."
The doctor shook his head and said, "Sir, your pulse is disordered. Strong liquor combined with a cold can easily harm your health."
Upon hearing this, King Yinglan became anxious and hurriedly asked, "Then what should we do?"
"Alas, I'm afraid it will damage the internal organs," the divine physician sighed. What he said was indeed true; the medicine prescribed by the physician in the manor and the strong liquor were incompatible when combined.
However, the physician in the household didn't know much and rashly prescribed this medicine for Prince Yinglan. Because the medicine and the strong liquor clashed, causing an imbalance of the five elements in his body, Prince Yinglan would truly fall ill by tomorrow.
The doctor's words sent a chill down King Yinglan's spine.
"Damaged internal organs? These doctors have been wasting over a decade of their time!" King Yinglan said through gritted teeth, having developed a somewhat favorable impression of the divine physician.
“Then let’s ask a renowned doctor to prescribe medicine!” said King Yinglan, who was also worried about his condition.
Xu Tian suddenly appeared and shouted, "But there is one condition: this famous doctor must enter the palace."
"Entering the palace? Aren't you in my residence right now?" King Yinglan asked, since the renowned physician was currently in the palace. But then he learned that the physician was to enter the inner palace.
King Yinglan's expression held a hint of reluctance, yet he was also worried about his condition. He regretted not letting the doctors prescribe medicine; his attempt to play tricks on Xu Tian had backfired and injured him!
King Yinglan thought to himself, "There's nothing I can do!"
“Alright!” King Yinglan said, agreeing to Xu Tian’s conditions. But at the end, King Yinglan gave Xu Tian a special look and said, “Little brother, we’ll see.”
Xu Tian bowed slightly respectfully, after all, the Yinglan royal family held a much higher position than Xu Tian.
Then, the doctor prescribed several doses of medicine and said, "You are already injured, so you must not drink alcohol, otherwise your old injuries will flare up."
King Yinglan felt fine and had no injuries. However, he still listened to the famous doctor's advice, said he would stop drinking alcohol, and put away his medicine.
