"Sir, Commander-in-Chief Rios has ordered us to deploy all dormant fusion units!"

In the vast space, countless people moved back and forth, but they all became tense because of this sentence.

The operator's voice echoed in the quiet control room.

He had just received the order and immediately relayed the message to the person in power in the center of the room.

The man's face suddenly turned ashen. He instinctively stood up, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

Seemingly startled by the sudden communication, he slammed his hand on the table, causing the chair to scrape violently against the floor with a piercing sound.

“All the merged entities?” he growled, his voice filled with disbelief. “Has Rios gone mad?! What is he going to do?”

The man who said this was named Dahl. Although he was nominally the Minister of Logistics of the Central Plains Military Region, his true identity was one of the masterminds behind the entire human-plant fusion plan.

He was behind the scenes, working with Rios to promote the human-plant integration project.

In public, he always played the role of a duty-bound officer without ambition.

But once he steps into the control room located in Zone 1, he becomes the helmsman who controls all the plant-fusion warriors, possessing almost the greatest power within the control room.

Cunning Rabbit Three Caves.

The human-plant fusion project has multiple laboratories.

Dahl's facility is one of the laboratories for the human-plant fusion project, and also the largest experimental site.

From the initial experiments to today's large-scale production, almost all fusions have come from this laboratory.

He poured a lot of effort into this, and those new generation warriors sleeping deep underground are his proudest creations.

They are preparing for a revolution.

Now, Rios' request is something he cannot understand.

"Sir, you heard right, it really is a fusion of all dormant entities!"

The operator's eyes widened, and seeing this, he hurriedly added, "I just received orders from the Commander-in-Chief that all test subjects must be activated immediately and prepared for combat."

Dahl gripped the edge of the table tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white, clearly suppressing his dissatisfaction.

He stopped arguing with the operator and simply got up and walked forward.

"Hand over the communicator!" Dahl commanded.

The operator was startled by Dahl's expression and quickly handed him the communicator.

Without any hesitation, Dahl quickly took the communicator and connected to Rios' communication channel.

“Rios, this is Dahl. Repeat your orders and tell me why you are doing this.”

However, all that could be heard on the other end of the communicator was noise.

"Rios? Please respond."

A voice came through the communicator, but it wasn't Rios's voice.

"The person you're looking for is gone." The voice was cold and hollow, sending a chill down Dahl's spine even through the communicator.

But his anger still overwhelmed his fear.

"Who are you? Where is Rios? Tell him to answer!" Dahl practically spat out those words.

“Rios? Rios?” the voice on the other end of the communicator murmured.

The next moment, a maniacal laugh exploded like thunder, reaching everyone's ears through the communicator.

Then, a clear wail came from the other end of the communicator.

Dahl could hardly imagine how bloody the scene must have been.

"It's a pity, now all that's left of him is a skull..." the voice on the other end murmured.

"Who are you?" Dahl roared into the communicator. He knew that Rios was currently in their secret laboratory in the Third District.

The voice coming from the communicator now reveals a fact.

The laboratory in Zone 3 has fallen.

"Remember, my name is... Aatrox. You'll see him soon..."

Before he could finish speaking, the communicator in Dahl's hand was smashed.

Just listening to the voice on the other end of the communicator, he could feel a strange chill creeping into his heart, as if his heart was being tightly gripped.

That sound was like the whisper of a demon from an ancient abyss.

"Aatrox! Investigate! Find out who he is!"

After saying this, Dahl's chest heaved violently, his hands involuntarily gripping the edge of the table tightly, his heart feeling as if it were about to leap out of his chest.

"Wait!" he gasped, grabbing a passing messenger.

"Start the unfreezing process for Zone 3!"

"M-Sir, are you serious?"

"Do not talk nonsense!"

Subsequently, several people entered a series of commands at the control panel to start the defrosting process for the cryogenic warriors.

Dahl prayed silently in his heart that although the plant warriors in the underground of the third district were not as strong as the main stronghold where he was, they were at least sixth-level warriors, and most of them had already reached the ceiling of eighth-level warriors.

Now, in order to deal with this sudden situation, he can only hope that the so-called 'Aatrox' will be dealt with smoothly.

Just as the thawing process began, the tranquil air deep within the Third Zone experimental base suddenly shifted.

In the deepest part of the third zone, hundreds of cryogenic chambers are arranged in a matrix, like neat coffins, or like a legion's tomb waiting to awaken.

Each capsule was filled with a greenish liquid, in which humanoid and plant-like figures floated.

Then, rows of cryogenic chambers began to shake violently.

The originally transparent cabin gradually turned into mist, and the plant warriors inside the liquid began to move.

Their eyes slowly opened, their cold light revealing an endless emptiness.

Those once-dormant human warriors now seem to have awakened from the dream of eternal night.

Within each warrior lies a terrifying power born from the fusion of plant and human flesh, and this power flows rapidly the moment they awaken.

Pairs of blood-red eyes opened.

They rose from the abyss of death.

They are not ordinary people, nor are they failures whose will has been eroded; each one is an outstanding work that has been carefully selected.

Their eyes were empty and indifferent, filled only with the instinct for battle and a violent power.

This current time is not actually the time they planned to wake up.

But the accident happened too suddenly.

As the latches of the first compartment released, a massive burst of steam erupted, accompanied by a piercing mechanical noise.

The fused entity inside slowly opened its eyes; they were eyes devoid of any human emotion, only possessing a beastly coldness.

Then, the second pod opened, the third, the fourth... like a flood bursting its banks, hundreds of fusion warriors awoke one after another.

They were enormous, each at least two heads taller than an average person, with twisted and grotesque bodies. Plant roots and scale-like branches grew from their original human muscles, some arms transformed into sharp thorns, and some bodies were covered with flower-like slit mouthparts.

These fusion entities, like programmed machines, emerged from the cryogenic chamber and all faced the same direction.

They received only one order: go to the upper level and eliminate all living beings.
