Standing on the beach, Teach Carr asked Shakor McFastie, "Do you still know the way back?"

“I know, Master. First, we need a ship that can cross the ocean, because the McFastie family is shrouded in a magical barrier and cannot enter using Apparition. Also... it's an island that isn't recorded on any map.”

On the cruise ship, Teach sat on the bow deck, basking in the sun and enjoying the sea breeze.

Xia Ke watched from the cockpit as the sea breeze tousled Teach's long, reddish-brown hair, revealing a few pale white strands.

The cruise ship sailed on the boundless Atlantic Ocean. With Shake as her guide, Teach didn't need to worry about direction or safety. Instead, her mind was racing, pondering: "From Shake's answer, I can deduce why the MacFastie family severed their marriage alliance with the 28 families in the 16th century and even withdrew from the wizarding world."

Human experiments conducted by half-blood wizards for unknown purposes can be classified as evil black magic. If such experiments were exposed, they would certainly be unacceptable to the magical world.

Lost in thought, most of the day passed quietly on the cruise ship.

Suddenly, a soft voice woke Teach from his closed eyes: "Master, wake up, we've arrived."

Teach opened his eyes and frowned slightly, because the cruise ship was still at sea, and there were no islands around.

Xia Ke noticed Teach's confusion and explained with a faint smile, "The magical barrier surrounding the McFastie family is extremely advanced. It's a hidden effect created by multiple spells stacked together and connected. Master, you can take a look with your golden eye."

Taking off his glasses, Teach's vision was immediately filled with a vast hemispherical sphere. Upon closer inspection, he confirmed that, as Xia Ke had said, there were indeed more than a dozen magical barriers.

After watching, Teach put on the Mystic Eyes. After a period of adaptation and adjustment, Teach Carl was able to control the petrification effect of the Mystic Eyes for a short time. However, if he looked at it for too long, the petrification effect would get out of control and petrify everything he saw.

With permission, Xia Ke took Teach's hand and jumped off the cruise ship.

At first, Teach thought that Shake was going to take him to jump into the sea and then swim into the magic barrier, but when his feet touched the surface of the sea, he realized that he had been thinking too much.

Shake and Teach stood steadily on the sea, without sinking at all, as if walking on flat ground.

After Teach finished his warning, Xia Ke led him inside the barrier.

Suddenly, the scenery changed. Outside the barrier was the blue of the sea and sky, while inside the barrier... it was gray and dark, with no sunlight.

Looking out, the island is so vast that you can't see the edge. The residential area along the coast is filled with two- or three-story villas.

High in the mountains of the island, there are also many ancient castles.

Amidst the vast expanse of forest and scattered rocks, the faint roar of a dragon could be heard.

Teach glanced around, then looked back at the harbor on the coastline, where a wizard with a wand was waiting for them.

As Xia Ke looked at this unknown member of her tribe, memories of her tragic childhood flooded her mind, filling her with fear and trepidation.

Titch felt the tight grip on Xia Ke's hand, and then, like a typical 'lover,' he gently comforted her.

And so, Xia Ke stood on the sea, took several deep breaths, and then took a step.

The wizard who was there to greet Shake looked at her expressionlessly and said, "Welcome back to the family, Shake McFastie. You surprise me. You've regained your memories, yet you weren't killed by the Black Dragon Mark."

"But now, I'm asking you... why did you come back?"

During the questioning, Xia Ke covered her chest with her hand and said in humiliation, "Why? Don't you know best?"

"As long as I have this black dragon mark on me, I can't escape. In another month, I will turn 20 years old. Then you will come to arrest me, won't you?"

The wizard nodded silently for a moment, then ordered, "Go to the academy and continue the experimental course you didn't finish back then."

After saying that, the wizard pointed his wand at Teach and said, "You go yourself, but your man has to stay behind."

"Rest assured, we McFasties have always been friendly to Muggles."

Unable to resist, Xia Ke could only leave after being comforted by Titch.

After Shake left, the wizard's wand glowed with magic, and he pointed at Teach Carl, asking, "Do you know where this place is?"

"Yes, Xia Ke told me everything."

"Since you knew that, why did you still come here?"

The "Oblivion" technique was implanted into Teach's brain, erasing some of his memories and then creating a false one: a memory of Teach Carr being born into the McFastie family, living his life, and finally falling in love with Shake.

The injected memories are false, but similarly, the memories that Teach had erased by the wizard were also fabricated.

After the wizard finished clearing away all traces of oblivion, he placed his hand on Teach's shoulder and then Apparated away.

The next second, they appeared in the tallest castle.

Dizziness and vomiting—Teach, in keeping with his current Muggle identity, exhibited symptoms of Apparition aftereffects that showed he was completely unaccustomed to them.

Once Teach was no longer dizzy, the escort wizard led him to the elders' hall.

After the elders confirmed that Teach was correct, he waved for the shaman to take Teach Carl away to arrange his work and life on the island.

In the Muggle neighborhood, the wizard who was supposed to meet them handed a key to Teach, saying, "This is the key to your and Shake's house."

"This is your identification tag on the island."

"This is your job recommendation letter. You must report for duty tomorrow. The job will definitely be easier than what you'd do in the Muggle world."

"This is your living expenses for one month, this is your advance salary for one month, this is your benefit money for becoming our family's son-in-law, and this is your settlement allowance for you and Xia Ke as a couple."
