HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician
Chapter 14 The Hatred Between Muggles and Wizards
Teach Carr and Corey Bab cared for Maggie's mother, Maggie, in the hospital for two days. During this time, Teach Carr drew a training circle and used the emerald of life to heal Maggie's limbs before leaving the hospital.
It wasn't that Teach didn't want to stay, but he was already on the Auror's arrest list and couldn't stay in one place for long.
Moreover, since the wizard who harmed Machi has not been found, Teach cannot stay in the hospital any longer.
After leaving the hospital, Teach went to a newspaper office.
After spending two hours in a conference room with a reporter, he left. No one knows what the two talked about, and the excited reporter didn't reveal a single detail to his incessantly questioning colleagues.
After leaving the newspaper office, Teach Carr bought another plane and returned to the wizarding world: [We can't bring danger to Uncle Corey's side; let's settle everything in the Dark Forest of Hogwarts].
After Teach took off with a swagger, Nicole, who was enjoying himself in a bar in modern society, seemed to have a premonition. He then silently left the beautiful woman next to him, went to a corner, and took out a piece of yarn that he had used to trace the source of the trace to examine.
The yarn spun around and then stopped in the northwest direction.
With a target in mind, Nicol instantly used his teleportation ability to get to the bottom of things. He was eager to know why his four Auror subordinates had gone missing.
Apparition has a distance limit; it cannot achieve its purpose in places beyond the reach of one's own magic.
Nickel, after a dozen or so Apparitions, stopped in the English city of Inverness because Teach Carr had stopped.
After handing the plane over to the staff to refuel it, Teach made a phone call, reconnecting to the weapons dealer route that he hadn't used in a long time.
After capturing Os in Croton Cemetery, Teach learned about all the spells currently available in the magical world from him, so he naturally knew about the spell 'Tracing the Source'.
Against a seasoned wizard, Teach's ten-meter teleportation magic alone is not enough to deliver a fatal blow.
Therefore, he needs a large number of guns and ammunition, as well as technological weapons, to carry out the ambush.
After making the phone call to buy the weapons, Teach sat at the airport gas station, sipping a coffee. He wasn't worried about Nicol suddenly appearing and casting a killing curse on him in public, because wizarding secrecy laws were extremely strict.
As a result, whatever I wished for came true.
Nicole appeared silently from the corner, then took out a wand and pressed it against the back of Teach's head.
But Teach remained unfazed, sipping his coffee with hatred in his eyes, and calmly said, "Are you going to kill me here?"
"You know, this airport has surveillance cameras, and one of them is pointing right at me."
"Even if you kill me with Avada Kedavra and then quickly cast the Disappearance Charm to become invisible, the moment you kill me will definitely be captured on surveillance cameras."
"And the Muggles will be extremely curious about your methods of murder and your ability to disappear, and they'll spread the word in the news, seeking answers."
"So... are you going to kill me here?"
After issuing his warning, Teach Carr asked the question again, seemingly without restraint.
After thinking for a long time, Nicole put down her wand, but threatened, "You can't escape, Teach Carl. I'll kill you when no one's around."
"Heh~", Teach put down his coffee and sneered, standing up to face Nicole with murderous intent, and said, "When you hurt my mother, Maggie, I never thought of running away."
"Haha, kill me...can you do it?"
With that, Teach lifted a corner of his shirt and placed his hand on the grip of the pistol at his waist: "The Dark Forest, I'll be waiting for you there."
"Don't even think about attacking me on the road. Before I decided to kill you using the most painful methods, I had already given all the information I knew about the magical world to a reporter."
"If you dare to attack me on the street without any sense of martial ethics, then that reporter will release the news about the magic world as quickly as possible, following my pre-set instructions."
After saying this, Teach Carr, fueled by Nickel's frustration and anger at not daring to make a move, let out a cold, mocking laugh and brazenly boarded the plane, flying towards the Forbidden Forest.
Teach wanted to spread the threat in the magical world, and Nicole dared not disbelieve it.
Under this threat, he could only grip his wand tightly and watch helplessly as Teach Carl left.
On the plane above the clouds, Teach was plotting an ambush to kill Nicole in one fell swoop. With the threat spread around him, Teach knew he had Nicole under his control, and he wouldn't dare attack until the order was given.
I wonder if Nicol, with his Apparition ability, will get there before Teach has time to plant the explosive trap: [Hopefully, the staff I hired at the airport at a high price can help me stall for time].
At the airport.
Just as Nickel was about to Apparate into the corner after Teach left, he was stopped by several plane crew members and security personnel who said sternly, "Sir, I suspect you are carrying dangerous contraband. Please cooperate with our questioning and search."
At first, Nickel was extremely resistant, but under the forced body search by security personnel, a small bag of 'flour' was found.
This bag of flour stunned Nickel. After a brief moment of thought, Nickel realized that this was a complete setup by Teach Carr to frame him.
Under surveillance, he dared not use any magic to escape, so he could only suppress his anger and cooperate with the staff's unwarranted search.
Then, in the security interrogation room, I endured the endless, genealogical questions from all my relatives.
When Nickel was about to be taken to court for conviction by the police with irrefutable evidence of flour, he used the excuse of going to the toilet to escape using Apparition.
Having escaped, Nicol, suppressing his anger at being toyed with, and after several phantom shifts, followed the trail of yarn to the swamp in the Forbidden Forest.
When Nicol appeared, he saw something that surprised him.
A corpse was thrown at him. Nickel dodged it, and when he saw the face of the corpse, he realized that it was his subordinate who had been missing for several days and whom he had sent to hunt down Teach Carl.
Although Nickel had already suspected his four Auror men were in grave danger when he saw Teach Carl appear unharmed at the airport, he was still horrified to see his comrade's corpse already decomposing.
Hidden in the shadows, Teach gave Nicole no time to panic. He pressed the detonator in his hand, and the corpse at Nicole's feet exploded instantly.
Teach Carl's path to magic in the Harry Potter world destined him to be a villain. Therefore, he had no qualms about using any means necessary.
Teach's unexpected surprise attack successfully injured Nicole.
But Nicol, as expected of a minor minister in the Ministry of Magic, possessed magical prowess and combat skills that far surpassed those of the four deceased Aurors.
The injured Nicol Phantom Teleported away from the explosion site, hiding behind a giant tree. He quickly took out a bottle of magical healing potion, and after drinking it, his wounds visibly healed.
Teach had long been prepared for Nicol's concealment; his purchase of technological weapons was specifically in preparation for such a situation.
By turning on the infrared thermal imaging device, Tichy could clearly see the human body heat source displayed on the screen.
Having located the enemy, Teach took out another detonator and detonated the explosives he had planted under Nicole's buttocks.
A loud explosion rang out. Teach didn't look, but kept his eyes glued to the infrared instrument.
Nicol was blown away, but his humanoid heat source on the instruments did not lose any limbs, indicating that the explosion was blocked by Nicol's defensive spell.
"Damn armor and armor spells," Teach cursed under his breath.
Although Nicol was not obviously injured this time, he was extremely disheveled. The explosion shattered the two layers of defensive spells he had cast with all his magic power.
Before he could fully raise his defenses, a bullet was fired at him.
Teach's deadly bullet, aimed at Nicol's head, unfortunately struck Nicol's protective shield, which had not yet fully deployed.
When the sniper rifle attack failed, Teach Carl, dressed in a ghillie suit, immediately moved to a different firing position. Even while moving, he kept an eye on the infrared device to pinpoint Nikol's location so he could detonate the planted explosives.
But Nicholl narrowly escaped each of the explosions, which made Teach start to question his existence.
Nicole dodged the explosions beneath her feet. Once or twice could be a coincidence, three or four times could be a test of skill, but five or six times was a bit suspicious.
Teach simply couldn't believe it.
[Then there's only one possibility: that damned Nicol took some kind of luck-boosting potion, the Felix potion.]
