HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician
Chapter 115 The Python in the Forbidden Forest
Hagrid, who patrols the Forbidden Forest every week, suddenly faintly heard two angry shouts.
Following the sound, Hagrid saw the criminal Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, who had been declared dead 12 years ago.
Hagrid's simple mind didn't think about many complicated things, so he took out the little red umbrella and used the wand hidden inside to attack Black.
They thought they should catch the dangerous Blake first, since Blake was a known criminal.
Black watched as Pettigrew escaped from his palm, his whole body trembling with extreme rage: "Twelve years! I waited twelve years for this opportunity, and it's all gone to Pettigrew!"
Hagrid...
"Hagrid, you stupid big oaf, do you know who you let go? Huh~~~", Black cursed at Hagrid as he arrived, then pointed his wand at Hagrid, wanting to vent his anger.
But seeing Hagrid's bewildered expression, Blake gritted his teeth and forcibly suppressed his emotions.
Just as Black was about to pursue Sirius Black, Hagrid used his red umbrella to fire a regular magic bullet to stop him, saying, "Halt, Sirius Black! I may not be an Auror of the Ministry of Magic, but you'd better surrender before me and wait for Headmaster Dumbledore to arrive."
Seeing that Black had stopped after being warned, but had not turned around or dropped his wand, Hagrid continued, "Black, you are a kind boy. I remember the time you chatted happily with me in my hut years ago."
"I believe you have been wronged, and I have always believed so. So please put down your wand and surrender. Headmaster Dumbledore will clear your name."
After listening to Hagrid's advice, Black still gripped his wand tightly, refusing without turning his head, "Hagrid, thank you for your trust, but you say Headmaster Dumbledore can clear my name? I don't believe it."
"If he could, the headmaster could have taken me away from the Ministry of Magic back then, but instead I was convicted, and convicted of heinous crimes."
After saying that, Black raised his hands and walked step by step in the direction where Pettigrew had fled: "Hagrid, I will not resist. If you really believe me, then let me leave."
Hagrid looked at Blake, who had already walked more than ten steps away, and finally softened his heart.
His pure and kind heart prevented him from arresting a clearly innocent person and then leaving his fate to be decided by others.
Hagrid is very strong. Putting aside his magical abilities, his half-giant body has a natural resistance to magic.
It's fair to say that if Hagrid were to get serious, most of the top wizards below Dumbledore wouldn't be able to beat him.
After Black disappeared into the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid thought for a long time and decided to tell Dumbledore about Black's whereabouts.
......
Hogwarts at night.
This semester, Harry Potter often went out alone at night wearing an invisibility cloak, and his destination was the school library, or more precisely, the forbidden area where dark magic books were stored.
For some reason, after the start of the school year, Harry suddenly developed a strong interest in powerful dark magic.
I wonder if it was witnessing Hermione's strength and fearlessness on the train that inspired him to want to become stronger and not fall behind.
Or perhaps it's because of... some other reason.
After Ron fell asleep, Harry began his nighttime stroll.
With a clear purpose, they arrived at the library without any trouble.
"Hagrid, why are you in such a hurry to see this old man? Let me guess, have your little pets gotten into trouble?"
"No, no, it's like this..."
Just as Harry was about to enter the library to secretly learn the dark magic from the books, he heard Dumbledore and Hagrid's voices in the corridor.
While eavesdropping out of curiosity, Harry heard the name Sirius Black.
They also heard that Black had entered Hogwarts and was now in the Forbidden Forest.
Upon hearing this, Harry's emotions instantly turned into anger and he lost all desire to continue listening, missing the subsequent discussion between Hagrid and Dumbledore about Black's wrongful accusation.
Harry stormed out of the library corridor, and once outside the castle, he ripped off his Invisibility Cloak, drew his wand, and charged into the Forbidden Forest with hatred and murderous intent on his face: "Kill him! Kill him to avenge my parents!"
I want to kill him with my own hands.
This is Harry's current emotional state.
No wonder Hermione asked, 'Are you the Harry I know?'
The temperature in the Forbidden Forest was so cold at night that Harry, wearing only thin pajamas, could clearly see the warm breath he exhaled.
As the cold spread through his body, the murderous rage in Harry's heart also subsided.
Strangely, Harry, having regained his senses, was not afraid of the eerie terror and danger of the Forbidden Forest at night. Instead, he involuntarily spread his arms, feeling the dark environment and the dangerous atmosphere.
After sensing the danger, Harry became calm and collected, and began to systematically search for Black's whereabouts in the Forbidden Forest.
This composure and calmness would surprise Teach Carr, because such composure shouldn't be seen in an immature young wizard, not even Hermione.
After searching in vain, Harry raised his wand and shot out a cloud of black mist, which then began to spread outwards.
'Seeking in the Dark Mist'.
This black mist is the dark magic that Harry learned from the books in the forbidden section.
Using this magical black mist, you can search for what you're looking for in a comprehensive manner, and then the black mist will stick to the target, forming a sensory coordinate.
Within his perception range, Harry could sense the location of the target that was stuck to the black mist, if he wanted to.
A few minutes later, Harry put down his wand and walked toward a dark direction.
It wasn't that they found Blake, but rather that the black mist discovered a 'very familiar' creature.
When Harry arrived at the location, what came into his view was a snake, a python, a python about 4 meters long.
Upon seeing the python coiled around the tree trunk with his own eyes, a memory instantly flooded Harry's mind.
After a long while, Harry, his mind somewhat scattered, murmured to the python in the tree, "Na...Gini, you are...Nagini?"
As soon as the word 'Nagini' was uttered, the python opened its eyes and sat up from its sleep.
The python watched Harry on the ground from the tree trunk for a long time. Then, it coiled down from the trunk, crawled to Harry's side, and hovered around him, looking puzzled.
I wonder why this little wizard gives me such an important, irreplaceable feeling of familiarity.
It lacks rationality and cannot understand.
All it knew was that being by the little wizard's side brought it a sense of warmth, peace, tranquility, and affection.
Harry reached out his hand, and the python leaned forward slightly.
Harry felt the coldness on his hands, and his eyes revealed heartache, sorrow, and intense hatred.
He hated that Voldemort hadn't fulfilled his promise to Nagini, hadn't tried to break the 'blood curse' she inherited, and hadn't restored Nagini's beautiful human form.
